Chapter 757 - 756: The Day in LA Came to an End.
Chapter 757 - 756: The Day in LA Came to an End.
Alex and Dean once again found themselves, far from their own free will, in the very place where they least wanted to be. And that place was the cozy office of psychologist Linda Martin, who was one of those rare mortal humans who knew perfectly well the true identity of Lucifer and all his closest circle.Lucifer and Linda shared a rather amusing common past, and it all started when the devil, at one fine moment, simply wanted to death to talk to someone and vent. And Linda just happened to be that very highly professional psychologist who was capable of enduring any of Lucifer's absurd complaints without unnecessary emotions.
Despite the fact that right after the first turbulent session Linda flatly refused to see Lucifer anymore, reasonably considering him a dangerous madman who stubbornly claimed to be the biblical Devil, Lucifer always knew how to masterfully persuade people, and especially — trusting women.
And after all those difficult events, Linda still listened carefully to Lucifer, helping him step by step deal with some complex issues that he himself could not find the right answer to, even being a powerful being. After everything she had experienced, Linda eventually became a truly good friend to Lucifer and even to Maze, always ready to listen to their next wild story and give a few sensible life tips.
And now Linda was once again about to come face to face with Lucifer's incredible family. Despite the fact that she stubbornly tried to prepare for this meeting, it was still a bit difficult for her psychologically to accept other higher beings like Lucifer, and especially — another one of his blood brothers.
After all, first only Lucifer himself had appeared in her life, then Amenadiel joined this madness, with whom she was now in a strong romantic relationship. And now Lucifer had brought yet another close relative to her couch.
Linda involuntarily thought whether this was her karmic fate — to become the personal family psychologist for the children of the Creator himself. She even caught herself thinking that if she risked telling any of her colleagues the pure truth about these sessions, she would definitely be considered crazy, and absolutely no one would believe such a story.
Sighing heavily, Linda returned her former professional smile and looked attentively at her new visitors. Linda's gaze first slid to Lucifer, whose face wore his usual smug smile, as if he was in a very good mood.
Linda's gaze smoothly moved to Dean, who was sitting gloomily to Lucifer's left. As a professional psychologist, Linda automatically began analyzing Dean, including his simple style of dress and closed-off behavior. After a short observation, she was able to flawlessly assume what kind of personality was hidden behind this facade.
She had seen this heavy gaze too often in people who were used to always keeping all their experiences inside and carrying problems on their shoulders alone. And her guesses were finally confirmed when Dean frowned discontentedly right after their gazes met. Linda responded with a short understanding smile and then smoothly shifted her gaze to Alex.
Looking at Alex, Linda simply couldn't help but pay close attention to his unique rainbow eyes. She couldn't deny the obvious fact that these were the most beautiful and truly mesmerizing eyes she had ever seen in her entire life. Somehow forcing herself to stop focusing on Alex's eyes, Linda began quickly examining his figure to better understand exactly where to start this difficult conversation.
She immediately noticed that Alex and Lucifer were phenomenally similar, including their expensive style of clothing and even their relaxed way of sitting. But unlike Lucifer, Linda clearly saw that Alex, with his entire irritated appearance, made it clear that he also flatly did not want to be in this office and would prefer to be in any other place right now.
"I perfectly understand that you flatly don't want to be here. But I still think it's better for us to start with a standard introduction. My name is…" Linda began speaking with a welcoming smile, sincerely trying to start a casual conversation to finally break this heavy silence.
"Linda Martin, personal psychologist of my older brother, who at one time succumbed to temptation and slept with him, concluding at the same time a rather amusing barter deal. He poured out his soul to you, and you provided him with personal services. And you are also currently in an official romantic relationship with another of my brothers, Amenadiel. I think we should definitely skip this boring part," Alex said with a slight smile, neatly interrupting Linda and clearly showing how much he was informed about her connections with his family.
From these sudden words, Linda's face slightly reddened, and she was momentarily at a loss, completely not knowing what else she should say in response. Lucifer, sitting next to Alex, simply couldn't contain his sincere laughter and loudly burst out laughing throughout the entire office.
Dean, for his part, choked and convulsively began coughing, actively slapping himself on the chest with his palm. He was clearly shocked to the depths of his soul by the fact that the modest brain-shrinker they had been dragged to had such an impressive and close connection with Alex's insane family. At that very moment, Dean's gloomy gaze changed dramatically when he looked at Linda again.
The doctor herself sighed heavily and quickly pulled herself together. She wasn't too surprised that another angelic brother knew such intimate details, but she still felt a little ashamed because of her past frivolous connection with Lucifer, although she in no way denied her current romantic relationship with Amenadiel.
"Yes, that's exactly right. And in that case, may I ask where exactly you learned this? Did Lucifer tell you about it in advance? Or maybe Amenadiel?" Linda asked with a soft smile, not even thinking of denying any of the facts Alex had voiced.
"No-no-no, Linda! I didn't tell him anything, I swear. My little brother's gaze is quite unique — he figured it all out instantly himself," Lucifer said with a wide smile, cheerfully clapping his hands and showing with his whole appearance that he had absolutely nothing to do with it.
"Then, Alex… Right? May I ask how exactly you learned this? According to Lucifer's own words and his clear practical example, as you already know perfectly well, he is able to see people's hidden desires and their secret sins. So, do you also possess a similar mystical gift?" Linda asked with interest, clearly showing that she was quite knowledgeable about Lucifer's supernatural powers.
"Oh, no. It's completely different. You see, Doctor, one of my wives is the goddess of love and fertility. And I simply clearly see these connections. If I were to describe exactly how I perceive it, it's a kind of famous red thread of fate that connects true pairs," Alex said thoughtfully, smoothly spreading his palms apart, between which a thin red thread instantly materialized at that very moment.
"You don't have just one wife!" Linda exclaimed slightly, not even noticing how she had sharply raised her voice throughout the entire office from surprise.
"Yes, I have more than one wife. But I think right now you're much more interested in learning exactly what kind of goddess this is. In your earthly world she is better known as the supreme deity of the Scandinavian pantheon. And to be even more precise, so you don't have to guess for long, Doctor, my wife's name is Freya. I think this is quite capable of fully satisfying your professional curiosity," Alex said with a slight smile, calmly crossing one leg over the other.
"Forgive me. I myself didn't expect to react so violently. And you just said 'in this world'… As I already managed to understand from the conversation, you and your silent friend arrived far from our reality," Linda said with a strained smile, hastily changing the topic of conversation back to safer ground.
"And right on target again, Doctor! I had to personally kidnap my dear little brother and his stern friend straight from another universe," Lucifer said with a chuckle, not holding back his emotions and brotherly wrapping his arms around Alex and Dean's necks.
"And for the record, Doctor Martin. You most likely could have already seen Dean in your recent past," Alex added with a sly smile, carefully removing Lucifer's heavy hand from his shoulder.
"I'm afraid that's physically impossible. After all, I have never visited other parallel universes. And honestly, I prefer not to do so in the near future," Linda replied with a strained smile, politely waving her hand in the air.
"And I wasn't talking about traveling to another universe. Do the names Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki happen to mean anything to you?" Alex said with a sincere smile, wanting to shock Linda even more and completely throw her off balance.
Linda raised a surprised eyebrow, sincerely not understanding why Alex had suddenly named her two random names that nevertheless sounded suspiciously familiar. And what was important, she was strongly interested in why these unfamiliar names should be somehow connected with Dean, who throughout all this time hadn't uttered a single word, stubbornly trying to pretend that he wasn't in this office at all.
Looking at Dean again, Linda caught herself thinking that his stern appearance really began to seem quite familiar to her. But at that moment no clear hint surfaced in her memory that would help find the right answer. Noticing the strong confusion on Linda's face, Alex smiled and suggested she use her personal phone to see everything for herself as soon as possible.
Despite the fact that Linda was a strict professional and fundamentally preferred not to use devices during sessions, the feeling of burning curiosity that was rapidly growing inside her still made itself known. Quickly getting up from her chair, Linda walked over to her desk and took her phone in her hands.
"Now comes the most interesting part," Lucifer said with a wide smile, anticipating seeing Linda's violent reaction.
"Why the hell did you drag me into this at all? The last time was enough for me when me and Sammy were suddenly thrown into that pathetic universe where we turned out to be ordinary actors. And Sam there was married to Ruby! Wait… Is Sam still married to Ruby in this universe? I simply have to check this. And while I'm at it, maybe I should find and give the other me a solid punch? I've damn well always wanted to do that," Dean said irritably, but very quickly his dull irritation was replaced by sincere interest and pure excitement.
"You're not seriously going to look for the other you just to arrange a stupid fight with yourself. He's just an ordinary actor here," Alex asked with interest, skeptically raising an eyebrow and lazily watching Dean, who was already holding his personal phone in his hands.
"And why not?... Whoa, and this guy also starred in some hardcore superhero series 'The Boys.' Hmm, and a thick beard really suits me. Maybe I should grow one too? I think Amara would definitely like it. What do you think about that?" Dean replied carelessly, smoothly turning the bright screen of his phone toward Alex and showing him a high-quality photo of Jensen with a beard.
Alex and Lucifer looked attentively at the photo of Jensen that Dean was enthusiastically showing them, after which they synchronously shifted their gaze to him himself. Dean's whole appearance made it clear that he sincerely wanted to hear their weighty male opinion on whether he would look better with a thick beard or clean-shaven.
That was exactly why Alex and Lucifer began giving him sincere advice. Lucifer especially got involved in this process, as he was truly obsessed with expensive style and could really give sensible advice on appearance care.
Alex only reasonably advised Dean to first ask Amara's personal opinion. After all, no matter how much Dean got fired up about the idea of growing a beard, if Amara said her firm "no," he would have to obediently shave in the same second, otherwise she would rip all the vegetation off his face without unnecessary words.
Linda, for her part, finally froze in place, tightly holding her phone in her hands. On the bright screen of her device, a joint glossy photo of Jared and Jensen was clearly displayed. Slowly blinking, Linda carefully ran her finger across the glass, continuing to scroll through the search results downward, where she immediately saw their screen names that they had used for a long fifteen years while playing brothers in the cult series.
Blinking in shock again, Linda shifted her confused gaze to Dean. After which she looked back at the screen of her phone. She clearly understood that right in front of her on the couch was sitting not some visiting Hollywood actor, but the real, living Dean Winchester, who had arrived straight from another parallel universe.
And for her, as an ordinary person, this discovery was truly shocking. But even in such a crazy situation, Linda managed to pull herself together in time — she only philosophically reasoned that a guest from literally another reality was far from the strangest event in her already insane life.
"As I can see, Doctor. You were quite surprised by such information. Although you quickly pulled yourself together. But that's understandable, considering who comes to you for sessions," Alex said with a slight smile, noticing how Linda calmly placed her personal phone on the desk.
"I admit, it didn't just surprise me — it shocked me. And now I'm curious: can all Angels travel between universes and bring ordinary people with them? Or is this only within the power of someone like you, Lucifer, and Amenadiel?" Linda replied with a slight smile on her face, smoothly shaking her head, showing that she was truly shocked to the depths of her soul by what she had seen.
"Who said that I am an Angel and Dean is a simple mortal?" Alex asked in surprise, looking directly at Linda and wanting to hear her honest answer.
"Isn't that the case? Despite the fact that I didn't watch the series, it was written that Dean is a simple, as you put it, mortal… Well, and you yourself, aren't you Lucifer's brother? So it's logical to assume that you are an Angel," Linda replied no less surprised, adjusting her glasses on her nose and sincerely believing that all the facts were already obvious.
"Oh, Doctor. It seems I forgot to explain something to you. You see, the thing is that my brother is not an angel at all, but a demon… Or rather, like a demon. He is more like the First Demon created by our daddy… As for Dean, well he hmm… I think he is the husband of the Primordial Goddess. Yes, I think such a statement will do. So Dean is the husband of a goddess who is supposed to rule an entire universe," Lucifer said with a wide smile, lounging and casually delivering another portion of shocking facts to the stunned Linda.
Hearing this, Linda raised her hand and began massaging her forehead. Lowering her hand, Linda looked at Alex, because despite how much she knew about Lucifer's family from what he himself had told her, she was still surprised by the fact that his brother was a demon. Alex, for his part, thought that it would be fun to play a prank on Linda and watch her further reaction live.
Alex raised his hand and touched his forehead. When Alex ran his palm across his forehead, long black horns instantly grew there, resembling a crown in their shape. And to top it all off, Alex smiled widely, baring even rows of sharp teeth.
Seeing that horns had grown on Alex's head and his teeth had become sharp, Linda slowly removed her glasses from her nose and carefully wiped the lenses with a handkerchief. Carefully wiping her glasses, Linda put them back on and saw the black horns and sharp teeth again. A short nervous chuckle escaped Linda's mouth, after which her eyes rolled back and she instantly lost consciousness in her chair.
Alex, Dean, and Lucifer looked at Linda in surprise, who had lost consciousness from the strongest shock. Lucifer couldn't miss such a magnificent opportunity and immediately began taking photos of Linda on his phone. Dean, however, looked intently at Alex, or rather at the black horns that had just grown on him.
"Dude, you said you didn't have horns," Dean said, pointing his finger straight at Alex's forehead.
"And I don't. This is just simple magic of partial shape-shifting. It's like when I grew cat ears for a stupid joke," Alex said, running his hand across his forehead in a familiar gesture and completely removing his horns.
"Ah, so that's how it is… Then what are we going to do with the doctor? It seems you slightly shocked her with your trick," Dean said, shrugging and pointing at the unconscious Linda, whom Lucifer was enthusiastically photographing from all sides.
"There's no need to worry about that, it's not the first time. This already happened when I showed her my angelic wings. She'll come to soon," Lucifer said with a wide smile, raising his thumb up and continuing to take new photos.
Alex and Dean looked at Lucifer, who was talking about how something like this had happened to Linda before, and they could only silently accept it. Taking a few more photos of the unconscious Linda, Lucifer put his phone back in his pocket, considering that the psychologist session had gone just perfectly and exactly as he wanted.
But all this was only part of his large-scale plan, which was yet to be carried out. Saying that they were done here, Lucifer named the next place he wanted to visit, and after that left Linda's office with a wide smile, leaving Linda herself lying unconscious in her own chair.
Dean, on the contrary, was pleased that he didn't have to talk to the psychologist and that no one else tried to dig into his brain. Only Alex felt a slight pang of guilt, because he was the one responsible for Linda's current state.
Taking his notebook out of his pocket, Alex wrote a few words of apology and added to it a small box of delicious chocolate candies that lay in his bottomless inventory. Carefully placing the candies and the note on the knees of the unconscious Linda, Alex left the office last, quietly closing the door behind him and prudently hanging a "Closed" sign on the handle.
Coming out onto the busy street last, Alex got into the Impala's interior, wanting to quickly find out where Lucifer wanted to go this time. Being himself, Lucifer suggested going to Santa Monica Beach to visit a couple of interesting places.
Alex and Dean silently exchanged glances upon hearing Lucifer's suggestion and didn't particularly object, since they still intended to use this day in someone else's universe as a kind of lazy rest.
"Are you sure you want to go to the beach? Or is there some interesting place there?" Alex asked, turning back while Dean confidently pulled out onto the busy road.
"Oh, of course, my dear brother. There's one interesting bar there that was opened by one of my debtors. And I'll say this, the atmosphere there is quite pleasant to have a drink and a snack before what's going to happen in the evening," Lucifer said with a smile, slyly crossing his fingers on his knee.
"And what's going to happen in the evening? Are you going to drag us somewhere again? If so, I'll say no right away," Dean said, looking intently at Lucifer in the rearview mirror.
"No-no-no, Dean Winchester. We're not going anywhere in the evening. My club is reopening tonight. And what better way can I show my hospitality than by throwing a grand party at Lux? And I've already invited everyone," Lucifer replied with a wide smile, showing with his entire well-groomed appearance feigned hospitality.
"I would prefer to just drink and play cards in a narrow circle," Alex said, opening the side window and lazily lighting a thin cigar.
"I'll answer that with a categorical no. How can I not throw a grand party in honor of meeting my younger brother? I can't allow that," Lucifer added in a serious tone, skillfully hiding one truth behind another truth.
"Did you pull something like this for Amenadiel too?" Alex asked mockingly, looking attentively at his brother through the rearview mirror.
"Nope. He didn't need it. He was so boring back then. 'Lucifer, go to Hell. Lucifer, don't do that. Lucifer, don't do this. Lucifer, Hell doesn't work without you.' How he got on my nerves back then," Lucifer replied, irritably rolling his eyes and stubbornly pointing out how unpleasant Amenadiel had been in the distant past.
Exhaling cigar smoke out the open window, Alex thought about how his older brother liked to do everything on a grand scale, and therefore wasn't too surprised by Lucifer's desire to throw a grand party in his own club. Shaking the ash out the window, Alex looked at Dean and calmly asked his opinion on the matter.
Dean thought for a moment upon hearing this question, then said dully that he had absolutely nothing against it, considering that he wouldn't have to pay for anything at all. After all, in this universe his pockets were officially empty and his payroll card definitely wouldn't work.
Lucifer, sitting in the back seat, smiled contentedly and proprietarily folded his hands behind his head. After all, he hadn't lied that there would be a party; he just hadn't said what exactly would happen after the party. And for him, organizing a grand evening just to prank his younger brother and his friend was a small price to pay to see his brother's stunned face.
Quickly hiding the smile on his face, Lucifer took his new phone out of his trouser pocket and quickly wrote to Amenadiel, inviting him to the club that evening with one simple goal — to introduce him to their new younger brother and at the same time find out the coordinates of the needed universe. Sending the short message, Lucifer put the phone back in his pocket, continuing to smile secretly.
"Park over there. There are still five hours left until the club opens. So we'll still have time to visit a few of my favorite places in Los Angeles. Especially a good dessert restaurant. It's just a few minutes' walk from here," Lucifer said with a smile, stubbornly pointing his finger at a free parking spot.
"Do you like sweets?" Alex asked with interest, turning his head back and looking at Lucifer with curiosity.
"Very much. I love good alcohol, women, and sweets. But now I prefer the first and the last. So let's go. Enough waiting, time moves on and waits for no one. Well, except for us, of course," Lucifer said with a wide smile, nimbly jumping out of the Impala.
"He's just like you," Dean said gloomily, carefully watching Lucifer, who was walking with quick steps toward the sandy beach.
"I won't argue with that. I have the same weaknesses. Basically the same as you," Alex said with a slight chuckle, opening the heavy door to get out of the car onto the busy street.
"Hmm… You're right. I just also prefer junk food," Dean said calmly, leaving his warm jacket on the seat so as not to look like an idiot in a jacket on a hot beach.
When Dean closed the Impala, Alex handed him a black face mask and a cap, silently showing his unwillingness to attract unnecessary attention. Dean understood everything without words — in this universe he was known as an actor and was himself nothing more than a character in a TV series. Even if he didn't like it, Dean still pulled the mask over his face and the cap onto his head.
And while no one was looking, Alex snapped his fingers briefly and changed their clothes and Dean's clothes to a more beachy version in the form of colorful Hawaiian shirts and shorts. Looking down, Dean saw a blue Hawaiian shirt and shorts on himself. Grinning under the mask, Dean raised his thumb up, silently approving such a choice of clothing. Alex responded with a smirk, casually unbuttoning a few buttons on his red Hawaiian shirt.
Having finished changing, Alex and Dean quickly caught up with Lucifer, who had gone far ahead. Turning his head, Lucifer noticed that Alex and Dean had changed into beach clothes, while he himself was still sweating in a strict suit. Seeing his brother's thoughtful gaze, Alex stubbornly tugged at his sleeve and his black suit instantly changed to a black Hawaiian shirt and beach shorts.
Noticing what he was now wearing, Lucifer, instead of being offended, burst into contented laughter, proprietarily wrapped his arms around Alex and Dean's necks, and dragged them toward the beach bar. And just a few minutes later the three of them were sitting right at the beach bar, slowly sipping cool cocktails and silently watching the ocean.
"Want me to reveal a little secret, little brother?" Lucifer asked with a smile, continuing to wrap his arm around Alex's neck.
"And what secret? Like the one that we can't fight each other?" Alex asked with interest, taking a lazy sip of his cool cocktail.
"You guessed right. You yourself know that we can't get drunk. But there's a little secret in how we can do it. You need to use a bit of our power on the alcohol and bam. Miracles happen and we can get drunk," Lucifer said, lightly touching his finger to the cocktails in Alex and Dean's hands.
"And does it work?" Dean asked with interest, since he didn't belong to Alex's family and he didn't want to be the only sober one.
"It works like a charm. I once played a prank on Amenadiel like that. He didn't know this trick. You should have seen him when he got drunk for the first time. He even put on a whole performance, loudly singing songs on stage," Lucifer said with a chuckle, taking a sip of his cocktail.
Hearing this, Alex took a sip of his cocktail but felt nothing. Shrugging, Alex continued drinking his cool cocktail, lazily enjoying the atmosphere. Dean also felt nothing, as he firmly believed that he could no longer get drunk thanks to Amara's power inside his body, and therefore only shrugged carelessly. But after a couple of cocktails, Alex and Dean began to distinctly feel how the alcohol was hitting their heads hard.
Feeling that they were starting to crack at the seams, instead of a legitimate demand to stop, Alex and Dean enthusiastically ordered themselves a few more cool cocktails. Lucifer also didn't stay aside, continuing to enthusiastically drink in the company of Alex and Dean. After all, how could he miss the magnificent chance to have fun and at the same time not remain the only sober one.
And after another couple of cocktails, Alex, Dean, and Lucifer were already loudly laughing, taking turns telling funny stories about what had happened to them. Alex grumbled about how every time he either got blown up or fell underground, and that such shit happened too often. Dean told a few funny stories from his long life as a Hunter. Lucifer, in turn, bragged about his past adventures, especially his turbulent love affairs.
Gradually, empty cocktail glasses began piling up like a mountain around Alex, Dean, and Lucifer, and they stubbornly continued ordering more, not even thinking of going anywhere. All their plans to visit other interesting places sharply receded into the background after a dozen cool alcoholic cocktails.
"Hmm… It seems the sun is already setting," Lucifer said, taking a sip of his cool cocktail and lounging lazily on the deck chair.
"It seems so. Or maybe the margarita was wrong," Alex said, looking at the empty cocktail glass and lazily stretching on the deck chair.
"Nope, the margarita was normal. The sun just decided to set earlier than usual," Dean said, finishing his margarita and stretching his legs to finally relax on the deck chair.
"And that means only one thing," Lucifer said with a smile, getting up from the deck chair and downing his cocktail in one gulp.
"And what does that mean? Order another cocktail?" Alex asked, lazily lighting a thin cigar and having no intention of getting up from the deck chair at all.
"No, my dear younger brother. It means it's time to change the place of our fun and move to a noisier place," Lucifer said with a smile, making it clear that they needed to go to the club.
"I don't want to change clothes. Maybe we should just stay on the beach? Who knows, we might even get lucky and dance by a bonfire," Dean replied lazily, also not intending to get up.
"Who cares what you're wearing. My club — my rules. Want songs, dances, and fire? All of that will be there. And now enough wasting time, we're going to party until morning," Lucifer said with a wide smile, firmly making it clear that the answer "no" was not accepted.
Hearing such weighty arguments, Alex and Dean had no intention of refusing to continue having fun, considering how much fun they were really having. And just a couple of minutes later Alex, Dean, and Lucifer, on shaky legs, somehow left the beach and managed to reach the Impala with difficulty. Getting behind the wheel, Dean slapped himself hard on the cheeks a couple of times, desperately trying to come to his senses. Dean tried to sober up a bit so he would have the strength to drive the Impala while drunk.
Shaking his head once more, Dean turned the key, starting the Impala's engine, and turned the music up to full volume. When loud music began playing from the radio, the three of them began singing at the top of their lungs, not hiding their mood at all. Somehow making it to the Lux club, Alex, Dean, and Lucifer got out of the car, having sobered up a bit on the way. A huge crowd of people was already noisily gathered at the club entrance, wanting to get inside as soon as possible.
Once again proprietarily wrapping his arms around Alex and Dean's necks, Lucifer confidently led them inside the building. Entering the club, they heard loud music thundering deafeningly from the speakers and saw a whole bunch of people in the hall enthusiastically drinking and dancing.
Without lingering there, they immediately headed purposefully to the bar counter to drink again. Maze, standing behind the bar, raised a surprised eyebrow upon seeing the drunk Alex, Dean, and Lucifer. Chuckling briefly at this sight, Maze silently poured them whiskey, not even thinking of refusing the drink.
Downing the glass of whiskey in one solid gulp, Lucifer sharply rose from the stool and headed toward the DJ. Climbing onto the stage to the DJ, Lucifer impulsively grabbed the microphone and tapped it against the stand a couple of times to check the sound. When a dull thud came from the speakers, all those present turned their attention to Lucifer, who was standing in an unbuttoned black Hawaiian shirt, vigorously waving the microphone.
"One, two. Is this working? No? Whatever, screw it… Ladies and gentlemen! Glad to welcome everyone on such a day… Come up with a long speech for me, I'm honestly too lazy. In short, I'm standing here to welcome my younger brother, who came to visit me. So, as you say — have fun, and I'm going to go drink. That's all," Lucifer began speaking loudly, continuing to noticeably sway and leaning on the DJ's stand, lazily glancing over everyone present.
Finishing his speech, Lucifer casually tossed the microphone to the DJ and himself lounged down from the stage and walked toward the bar counter with a cheerful smile. Those present in the club first froze for a moment upon hearing Lucifer's strange speech, and then burst into loud applause and cheers. And very quickly loud music began playing from the speakers again, and people continued noisily having fun.
Returning to the bar counter, Lucifer grinned and raised his thumb, boasting about how excellently he had handled delivering his speech. In response to this, Alex and Dean laughed loudly and raised their glasses of whiskey.
Not intending to stop there, Alex and Dean drank a few more heavy glasses of whiskey and also climbed onto the stage. Impulsively snatching the microphone from the DJ, Alex and Dean were going to sing. Briefly saying what music needed to be played, Alex and Dean were fully ready to sing.
"Carry on my wayward son. There'll be peace when you are done. Lay your weary head to rest. Don't you cry no more," Alex and Dean began singing as soon as the familiar music powerfully began sounding from the speakers.
The moment Alex and Dean started singing, all those present in the club immediately turned their gazes to them. Alex and Dean stood on the stage, hugging each other by the shoulders and holding the microphone in front of them, noticeably swaying to the music. Lucifer, sitting at the bar counter, began loudly whistling, vigorously supporting Alex and Dean's decision to sing.
But very quickly he also wanted to join. And while the guitar solo powerfully sounded from the speakers, Lucifer sharply rose from his stool and quickly headed to the stage. Climbing onto the stage, Lucifer chummily wrapped his arm around Alex's neck from the other side and began swaying with them to the music.
Maze, standing behind the bar counter, slowly wiped a glass, firmly confident that this was far from the end. When the guitar solo finished sounding, Alex, Dean, and Lucifer were fully ready to continue singing, even despite their heavy drunken state.
"Once I rose above the noise and confusion. Just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion. I was soaring ever higher. But I flew too high," Alex began singing the first verse of the song in a soft tone.
"Though my eyes could see I still was a blind man. Though my mind could think I still was a mad man," Dean began singing in a rough vocal, confidently continuing instead of Alex.
"I hear the voices when I'm dreaming. I can hear them say," Lucifer began singing cheerfully, impulsively taking a lighter out of his pocket and raising it high above his head.
"Carry on my wayward son. There'll be peace when you are done. Lay your weary head to rest. Don't you cry no more," Alex, Dean, and Lucifer loudly sang together, harmoniously beginning to sing the chorus of the song.
At that same moment, the club visitors all pulled lighters out of their pockets and raised them above their heads, lazily swaying to the music. At that very moment Amenadiel heavily entered the club, and upon seeing what was happening on the stage, he wanted to ask only one question — what the hell was going on here at all?
He simply couldn't understand why he was seeing his brother Lucifer drunk on stage, loudly singing an old song and dressed in a Hawaiian shirt in the company of two such men. Wanting to find out what was happening as soon as possible, Amenadiel frowned and purposefully headed to the bar counter to ask Maze what was going on here at all.
To be continued...
(Basically, you already know what happens next. And there's no point in dragging it out. Now the question of whether this will be a long journey or not depends entirely on the voices in my head. After all, beyond Midgar, there are many places in the world of Gaia that can and should be visited, even the resort itself. I was able to learn some details about the lore, and that the events in the Remake take place over the course of a week or a little longer, about 10 days, something like that. Basically, you get the idea. I tried to explain the lore of the world in the arc itself, as I usually did through voiceover, or something like that. And yes, this could be the official end of the Supernatural world arc; there was a song, after all. And don't forget, this is the same day Chuck kicked the bucket. I'll go eat. Peace, love, and that's the secret no one will ever know.)
