Chapter 759 - 758: Aerith and Her Small Wish That Was Fulfilled.
Chapter 759 - 758: Aerith and Her Small Wish That Was Fulfilled.
The Gaia world was an amazing place filled with wonderful views and creatures that could easily take your breath away. Every corner of this planet was beautiful in its own way, from rocky mountains offering picturesque views to green plains where representatives of the local unique fauna peacefully lived. For the inhabitants of Gaia, this world was a wonderful home that never ceased to amaze them with its vastness. But only a few knew the true secret of their own planet. Gaia was a living entity in its own way.Through the entire thickness of the earth, the Lifestream continuously flowed, carrying within it the memories and feelings of all living beings that had ever lived on this planet. Gaia remembered every living creature born and died on its expanses, like a mother remembers each of her children and carefully preserves memories of them. Millennia ago, the Cetra race lived on Gaia, and beings of this race could freely hear the Lifestream, communicating with the planet itself.
Thanks to interaction with the Lifestream, the Cetra led a nomadic lifestyle. Wherever they went, those places instantly began to come to life — the land became fertile, trees and grass began to grow vigorously, and wild animals obediently arrived in such places to settle there forever.
That was how the life of the Cetra race passed: they continuously wandered from one place to another, bringing life to every corner of their beloved planet wherever they went. To protect themselves in harsh and uninhabitable places or to guard against attacks by wild fauna, the Cetra knew how to use other abilities besides the ability to hear the Lifestream. Gaia itself generously endowed its beloved children with the ability to protect themselves.
And in ancient legends going back many millennia, this primordial power was called magic, allowing the use of unique natural abilities. Years of the Cetra race's life passed this way, but soon some of them decided to finally settle down to build their own home and never lead a nomadic lifestyle again. While the other half of the Cetra race preferred to continue moving, sacredly believing that their direct duty was to bring life to every corner of the common world.
That part of the Cetra who decided to settle began to build their own city, which only steadily expanded over the years. Soon the Cetra began to lead a quiet peaceful life in their new home, built with their own hands. But soon everything changed dramatically when something crashed down from the night sky with a roar, later called the Calamity from the Skies in the legends.
One day a huge fiery meteorite fell from the sky, which every Cetra could clearly see, whether nomads or those who had established their own city. And among the Cetra living in the city was one who perfectly knew what kind of terrifying creature had just crashed from the heavens onto this beautiful world.
Among the Cetra, this man was sincerely revered as a great sage who had brought them deep knowledge they had not previously suspected. He became a faithful teacher, reliable friend, and neighbor for them, always guiding them on the right path. All the Cetra called him by one name — Amenadiel. For them, he was officially an emissary of Gaia, who had supposedly sent him to guide her children.
Thanks to Amenadiel's wisdom and knowledge, the Cetra were able to rapidly develop their own civilization. Amenadiel himself could not directly interfere in the Cetra's lives because of the Creator's ancient rule, but that did not mean he had no right to pass on his own knowledge, which could help the Cetra race protect their home.
And when an alien entity that would be called Jenova millennia later fell from the sky, Amenadiel instantly understood: the Gaia world would simply cease to exist if he did not intervene. But the Creator's rule still strictly limited his combat capabilities. All he could do in this situation was to help the Cetra race give a decisive rebuff to the unknown abomination that had fallen from the heavens.
And knowing what a terrible disaster was coming for this world, Amenadiel decided to firmly take on the duties of the one who would help the Cetra race become united again. Urgently leaving the capital, Amenadiel set out in search of the nomadic Cetra who continued to wander across the Gaia world. But when Amenadiel left the city, he still had no idea what horrific consequences this would lead to.
Visiting every corner of the planet and meeting with every nomadic tribe, Amenadiel stubbornly conveyed to them the harsh truth about what exactly had fallen from the heavens and what threat it posed to Gaia. None of the Cetra doubted Amenadiel's words for a second, because they all clearly heard the planet's bitter cry after the fiery meteorite fell. While Amenadiel was completely busy uniting the scattered nomadic tribes, the creature that had fallen on the meteorite had already secretly penetrated the Cetra capital.
Jenova was not just a cosmic parasite that devastated one planet after another. It was a dangerous entity born in Chaos itself and had escaped from there, like its other rebellious kin. Jenova could easily take any form it desired, and also freely penetrate people's memories and even their souls.
Its very presence was already a deadly infection that affected everyone around it. Everyone Jenova came into contact with ended up infected, and this infection instantly spread throughout the entire capital. Soon the once great capital of the Cetra civilization finally fell.
All who lived within the city eventually turned into terrible mutilated monsters, whose broken forms caused only pure fear and deep disgust. The previously green flowering plains turned into scorched dry wasteland with not the slightest hint of life. And in the very center of this nightmare sat Jenova, which had completely absorbed every particle of life in these lands.
But when Amenadiel returned with the nomads to the capital, they saw only a gray wasteland completely devoid of life. It was then that he acutely realized how badly he had erred by leaving those he sincerely wanted to protect unsupervised. The sight of the city's inhabitants turned into monsters made Amenadiel experience such deep grief that it almost undermined his unshakable faith in the Creator.
But there was no time for mourning, because Jenova had no intention of stopping at just the capital. Wherever this creature went, it left behind lifeless desert and terrifying monsters into which the inhabitants of these once flowering lands instantly turned.
Even through the strict limitation established by the Creator, Amenadiel managed to provide at least minimal support to the remnants of the Cetra race, granting them his supreme blessing so they could defeat Jenova. But even with Amenadiel's support, this was an extremely difficult, bloody battle for the Cetra. Spending their last strength and lives, the survivors stubbornly managed to drive Jenova back to the site of the meteorite's fall.
With enormous difficulty, the Cetra were able to permanently seal Jenova on the Northern Continent to protect their native planet. But the price of this victory was catastrophic. Because of the prolonged war, the Cetra race found itself on the brink of complete extinction, and the places where Jenova had managed to visit remained deeply infected with corruption.
In the end, the remnants of the nomads decided to devote the rest of their days to restoring life to the affected lands, while Amenadiel left the Gaia world, considering that his further interference would be unnecessary. He sincerely believed that this world was now safe. Leaving one last harsh warning to the remnants of the Cetra race, Amenadiel finally left this world.
"Was it really like that, Mom," a quiet voice sounded in the night.
The voice belonged to Aerith Gainsborough, who slowly closed her mother's old, yellowed diary and carefully placed it on the wooden table. Sitting in her room, Aerith shifted her sad gaze to the window. From her spot, she could only see pitiful scraps of sky because of the huge plate ominously towering over the dirty slums of Midgar.
Kneeling on the bed, Aerith carefully crawled to the window and timidly looked outside. She saw the barely lit streets of Sector 5, while the upper plate shone with bright lights and was full of life. But for her, this fake bright life on the plate was a terrible price for the life of the planet itself, which Shinra mercilessly sucked out of the ground.
Aerith was the last living representative of the Cetra race and remained the only one who could still directly hear the Lifestream. Every night she clearly heard Gaia's cry, but she could do absolutely nothing about it. And thanks to her unique power, a huge target hung like a dead weight on her back, placed there by the Shinra corporation. Continuing to look at the barely lit streets of the slums of Sector 5, Aerith sighed heavily, forcing herself to continue smiling even in such a lousy situation.
"I wonder if those legends were true. Or if they're just old fairy tales… Ugh, now I definitely won't be able to sleep. Again," Aerith said quietly, and then sighed irritably because once again she couldn't go to sleep normally.
Leaning her elbows on the windowsill, Aerith lightly patted her cheeks to quickly gather her thoughts. She perfectly understood that she definitely wouldn't fall asleep anytime soon and would again lie aimlessly in bed with her eyes closed, thinking about many things that continuously spun in her head. Slapping herself on the cheeks, Aerith hissed slightly from the pain because she had clearly overdone it and hit herself a little harder than she had originally intended.
Offendedly rubbing her slightly reddened skin, Aerith quietly laughed at her own stupidity. Stopping rubbing her cheeks, Aerith carefully climbed down from the bed so as not to make extra noise. After all, she had a proven working method that had helped her fall asleep more than once. Putting on shoes, Aerith tiptoed to the door of the room and carefully looked outside.
Peeking through a small gap, she saw that the light was still dimly on on the first floor of their house. That meant Mom Elmyra was still awake at such a late hour. Slyly narrowing her eyes, Aerith carefully left the room and looked over the railing to the first floor.
She saw her mother calmly sitting at the table with a book in her hands. Seeing Elmyra completely absorbed in reading, Aerith carefully stepped back. After all, her mom categorically disliked the fact that she secretly wandered at night through her flower garden. Trying not to make any noise at all, Aerith began carefully stepping on the wooden boards to go up to the third floor and exit onto the small balcony in their house.
"Careful. Careful. So no one sees. One step, two steps. And no one saw me," Aerith quietly sang, carefully making her way up the stairs leading to the third floor.
Quietly humming a simple melody, Aerith naively thought that her mom Elmyra wouldn't notice anything. But Elmyra, calmly sitting on the first floor, quietly sighed and raised a direct gaze to the wooden staircase. At that moment, Elmyra sincerely wanted to loudly shout to her daughter that she wasn't creeping nearly as quietly with her songs.
Hearing Aerith's humming on the stair landings, Elmyra only shook her head, returning to her reading. She perfectly knew what was bothering her adopted daughter and had seen such nighttime walks more than once. Returning to the book, Elmyra only hoped that her daughter's life would be quiet and peaceful, as much as was possible at all in the slums.
And she was firmly ready for anything to protect Aerith, even if it meant open confrontation with Shinra and everyone they would send after her. Elmyra still clearly remembered Ifalna's last dying request, Aerith's biological mother. And she was going to stubbornly fulfill this sacred request to the victorious end.
Turning another page of the book, Elmyra heard Aerith finally go out onto the balcony, mentally hoping only that her daughter would find true happiness and freedom when she no longer had to constantly hide.
Carefully going up to the third floor, Aerith opened the wooden doors leading to the small balcony. The moment she was outside, a pleasant smell of flowers instantly hit her nose. Taking a deep breath, Aerith smiled calmly, leaning on the railing. Her gaze was fixed on the flower garden — the only such living place in the entire Sector 5.
Admiring the flowers she diligently cared for every day, Aerith carefully moved a pot from the chair, placing it with the other flowers on a small stand. Moving the pot, Aerith pulled the chair closer to the railing and smoothly sat down. Folding her hands in front of her, Aerith heavily rested her chin on them.
Watching the flowers, she began humming a quiet melody that always helped her calm down in time. Earlier, her biological mother Ifalna had hummed this song when, as a child, she simply couldn't fall asleep. Rocking her head from side to side, Aerith slowly raised a direct gaze to the plate ominously towering over the slums. Through narrow technical gaps in the plate, Aerith saw the distant outlines of the starry sky.
These gaps were the only sources of sunlight barely illuminating the slum districts located under the metal structure. Seeing this huge plate every day, Aerith bitterly thought whether all the residents of the lower city would never be able to normally see the pure light of the sun until the end of their days.
"Please… Let the slum residents also be able to enjoy the warmth of the sun," Aerith said quietly, looking at the distant starry sky with deep longing.
Looking at the distant stars, Aerith sincerely prayed for a normal life for the slum residents. She clearly remembered how her mom had told her as a child: if you see a shooting star — you need to immediately make a wish, and then it will definitely come true. But now she saw only the usual constellations that shone high in the sky every day.
Even if there was no shooting star in the night sky, Aerith still stubbornly made her cherished wish. Sighing once again, Aerith continued to carefully watch the night sky, slightly rocking her head from side to side and continuing to hum a quiet melody. Finishing the song, Aerith yawned sleepily, carefully covering her mouth with her palm and finally beginning to feel the long-awaited drowsiness.
Already about to return to her room to go to sleep, Aerith suddenly saw something strange high in the sky. Narrowing her eyes to better see the object, Aerith noticed a bright shooting star — and not one, but two. Seeing two shooting stars, Aerith impulsively rose from the chair and gripped the railing tightly with her fingers. Without wasting a second, Aerith quickly folded her palms in a short prayer, considering this a rare auspicious sign.
"Please… Please…" Aerith prayed, continuing to tightly squeeze her palms together in front of her and intently watching the two shooting stars.
Not only Aerith saw the two shooting stars in the night sky, but many other slum residents as well. They were clearly noticed even by those who lived well-fed lives on the upper plate. Everyone reacted to this rare phenomenon in their own way — some, like Aerith, impulsively made cherished wishes.
Mostly these were the exhausted inhabitants of the lower city who continued to desperately believe in miracles, even despite the terrible conditions in which they had to survive. In the Sector 7 slums lived one radical group of people who stubbornly wanted to stop Shinra's terror once and for all. Seeing two shooting stars in the sky, they sincerely believed for a moment in a small miracle capable of drastically changing their lives.
Even the top management of the Shinra corporation paused for a second to look at the bright lights in the night sky from their panoramic windows inside their luxurious offices. Some simply silently watched this unique phenomenon with slight interest, some didn't care at all, and some, like the poor slum residents, subconsciously thirsted for major changes.
In the very center of this lull was Aerith, who still didn't know that her naive childish prayer had been instantly heard. But to her great regret, the one who intercepted her silent prayer simply wanted to play a harsh prank on his younger brother and his friend, coldly dropping them from orbit straight onto the Gaia planet for ordinary fun and petty revenge.
And those whom the residents of Midgar foolishly took for a rare celestial phenomenon were still sleeping a deep drunken sleep after a long drinking session at Lux, not even suspecting where exactly they had ended up.
When the two shooting stars in the night sky finally faded, Aerith unclenched her hands, still sincerely believing in the miracle. Her inner feeling stubbornly told her: the miracle would still happen. These thoughts lifted her mood, and the desire to fall asleep as quickly as possible only grew stronger. With a soft smile on her face, Aerith quietly went down from the third floor and entered her room.
Changing into light sleep clothes, Aerith climbed into bed, cozily wrapping herself in a warm blanket. Looking at the dark ceiling, she slightly narrowed her eyes with a satisfied smile. She really wanted to immediately tell Elmyra what sign she had just seen in the heights, but Aerith decided prudently to postpone this conversation until tomorrow morning. Closing her eyes, she quickly fell asleep, feeling a pleasant relief inside.
Morning came quite quickly for Aerith. Aerith woke up from a light knock on the door and her mother's muffled voice. Sleepily opening her eyes, she sat up, lazily rubbing her face with her fingers. Yawning slightly, she shifted her gaze to the window and sleepily tilted her head to the side.
Yawning again, Aerith climbed down from the bed with difficulty and began quickly putting herself in order. Sitting in front of the mirror, she massaged her cheeks a bit to finally remove the traces of sleepiness. Looking at her reflection, Aerith smiled brightly, clearly feeling: this day would be radically different from any other.
With this strong feeling, Aerith began humming a cheerful melody, deftly braiding her long hair into a braid. Nodding her head to the tune, she finished the hairstyle, decorating it with a pink bow with a small white bead she had received from her biological mother. Completing the final touches, Aerith rose from the chair and twirled slightly in front of the mirror, making sure she hadn't missed anything in her outfit.
"Now it's perfect," Aerith said with a bright smile, carefully adjusting her red jacket and dress.
Smiling at her reflection in the mirror one last time, Aerith took the woven basket from the bedside table. Aerith jumped out of the room with a bright smile and cheerfully skipping down the stairs went to the first floor, lazily twirling the flower basket in her hands. Elmyra, calmly preparing breakfast for herself and her daughter, saw Aerith's behavior and also couldn't hold back a smile.
Every time she saw her adopted daughter in such a cheerful mood, Elmyra felt that her hard day in the Sector 5 slums became much brighter than usual. Elmyra couldn't help thinking that her daughter was the only ray of light in this cursed place, which would stubbornly shine even if complete darkness reigned around.
Waving to her daughter, Elmyra suggested Aerith sit at the table while she finished fiddling with the food. Aerith obediently hopped to the table and smoothly sat on the chair, still humming a cheerful melody and nodding her head to the tune.
"As I can see, you're in a very good mood today? Did you have some special dream?" Elmyra asked, carefully placing a plate with hot breakfast in front of her daughter.
"I don't remember… I just sincerely believe that this day will be amazing," Aerith replied with a bright smile, cutely blinking her big green eyes.
"As you say, dear. And now eat quickly. Otherwise you'll forget about your breakfast again and run outside," Elmyra said, shaking her head and sitting down opposite Aerith.
"Thanks, Mom… Your breakfast is as always the tastiest. Honest word!" Aerith said in a sweet tone, sincerely praising her mother's cooking for the umpteenth time.
"I've heard that from you more than once. And I know your cute eyes perfectly well too. So eat and don't get distracted by chatter," Elmyra said with a chuckle, sitting down opposite Aerith.
In response to her mother's words, Aerith cutely pouted her lips, expressing her playful displeasure. Looking at how her daughter was pouting like an offended child, Elmyra quietly laughed and with a familiar gesture lightly tugged the girl's cheek, making her not get distracted from eating. Feeling her mother's fingers squeeze her skin, Aerith pouted at Elmyra again, after which she laughed cheerfully. Being in an excellent mood, Aerith quickly finished her breakfast and was fully ready to start her morning routine.
But first she obediently helped Elmyra quickly clear the table and wash the dishes. Finishing at the sink, Aerith grabbed the woven basket and prepared to head to her favorite place to gather some fresh flowers for sale. Twirling the basket in her hands, Aerith skipped cheerfully to the front door and smoothly pushed it open.
"Be careful. And most importantly — don't go around. I don't need to remind you again what kind of scum wanders in the abandoned parts of the slums, do I?" Elmyra said in a calm voice, sitting at the table and carefully watching her departing daughter.
"I remember everything, Mom. If something happens — I'll just run away in time. I'm fast and very strong. Look, what muscles," Aerith replied with a smile, proudly showing the muscles on her skinny arm, which had never been there.
"I don't see any muscles at all, dear," Elmyra said with a smile, quietly chuckling at her daughter's naive boasting.
"They're definitely there, just look! These are the real muscles," Aerith said in a stubborn tone, trying with all her might to prove her physical strength.
"Of course, of course, now I clearly see… Alright, go already. Take care of yourself, dear," Elmyra replied with a laugh, lightly waving her hand in farewell.
Waving to her mother with a smile in farewell, Aerith jumped out of the house, firmly holding the flower basket in her hands. Passing through the well-kept garden, Aerith confidently walked along the familiar path that led straight to the center of the Sector 5 slums. Passing a long alley, she came out to the children's orphanage, where she often voluntarily helped take care of the children.
Passing by the building, Aerith waved with a bright smile to the orphans who were enthusiastically playing outside with their caregiver Folia at that moment. Exchanging a few morning phrases with Folia, Aerith was about to go further, but the children stubbornly didn't want to let her go, vying with each other to offer to play games together.
Aerith laughed cheerfully at such contagious enthusiasm. But she still had important things to do that needed to be finished by noon. Not knowing how to properly say a firm "no," Aerith awkwardly hesitated before the difficult choice: stay with the children or finish the work first.
Folia, who had been watching her attentively, sighed and shook her head. She had seen more than once how a dense group of children tightly surrounded Aerith, forcing her to drop everything for games.
"Alright, children. I don't remember our lesson officially ending," Folia said, loudly clapping her hands and attracting the noisy children's attention.
"But teacher Folia…" the children whined pitifully when they were made to study again.
"Did I express myself incorrectly? Quickly to your places! And when the lesson is over — then you can play. And now stop distracting Aerith and quickly sit on the chairs," Folia said with a sweet smile, but her firm gaze made it clear that she was not going to accept any objections.
In response to such a weighty argument from the caregiver, the children lowered their heads dejectedly and shuffled off to take their places. Folia raised her gaze to Aerith and quietly waved her hand, silently letting her know that she could calmly leave. Aerith carefully covered her mouth with her palm, slightly chuckling at the situation. Waving her hand in farewell, she headed further.
Passing gloomy slum residents, Aerith greeted every person she met friendly, to which the locals always responded with mutual warm smiles. For all these exhausted people, she was a real little ray of light that helped dilute the gray heavy days.
Passing through the entire lower town, Aerith came out to the outskirts and looked into the distance, where behind huge mountains of rusty metal junk an old abandoned church could be seen. Plotting her route, Aerith confidently moved forward. Soon she came to the railway station, where a dense crowd of people was already gathered waiting for the train.
Stopping for a moment, Aerith carefully watched the workers waiting for the train that could deliver passengers to the upper level. Raising her direct gaze upward, Aerith looked at the overhanging steel structure and only sighed heavily, gloomily shaking her head. She perfectly knew that ordinary slum residents would never get to the plate no matter how hard they tried. After all, Shinra strictly controlled everyone who stubbornly tried to rise from below.
"I need to go further. Otherwise I won't make it in time," Aerith said with a smile, resolutely turning her gaze away from the plate that hung like a dead weight over the lower city.
Gathering her thoughts, Aerith tried with all her might to think positively. Casting one last short glance at the crowd gathered at the railway station, Aerith carefully moved forward. She needed to reach the end of the platform in time to slip into a dead-end alley where there was a secret passage leading to a closed area of the slums.
Looking around, Aerith quickly darted into the alley, squeezing between wooden pallets that densely filled the entire alley. Squeezing through the wooden pallets, she reached a dead end where there was an old iron mesh fence. Approaching closer, Aerith carefully moved the metal mesh aside and deftly slipped through the narrow passage that formed.
Checking that she hadn't caught her dress on the rusty wire, Aerith looked around once more to make sure there was no surveillance and that no monsters were prowling nearby.
Convinced that everything was in perfect order, Aerith confidently walked forward, carefully passing other fences and coming out onto an abandoned path leading to the church. Without encountering any difficulties along the way, Aerith smiled with relief upon seeing the old building right in front of her. She mentally convinced herself once again that this day would indeed be excellent.
"I'm almost there. I'll quickly gather some flowers and immediately return home," Aerith said with a smile, slowly twirling the basket in her hands.
Continuing to smile, Aerith walked along the familiar path, climbing to the main entrance of the old building. Stopping at the threshold, she carefully pushed the heavy wooden doors. The moment the doors creaked open, Aerith instantly froze in place, stunned by what was happening inside the church.
The first thing her gaze landed on was an adult man absurdly lying in a pile of broken wooden pews in a strange blue shirt and bright shorts. Blinking in surprise, Aerith hastily shifted her gaze to the very center of the hall, where her well-kept flowerbed was located.
There she saw a young guy peacefully lying right among the yellow buds, dressed in a flashy red shirt and beach shorts. Seeing all this absurdity, Aerith thoughtfully tilted her head to the side, lightly tapping her finger on her chin and feverishly wondering what had happened here and who these two were.
Slightly changing the viewing angle, Aerith suddenly saw two fresh through holes in the high ceiling of the church. Quickly putting the facts together, Aerith sharply hit her fist against her palm when she finally understood the essence of what had happened.
"It seems they fell from above. They were very lucky they're still alive… Or are they alive at all?" Aerith said, nodding to herself, strictly folding her arms across her chest, and then thoughtfully looking at the two mysterious strangers.
Hoping that the two strangers who had fallen from above were still alive, Aerith carefully approached the first one, who was lying among a pile of broken wooden pews. Carefully approaching, Aerith hastily covered her nose with her hand upon smelling the thick scent of alcohol followed by loud snoring.
Waving her hand in front of her nose to quickly dispel the heavy smell, Aerith made sure that the man lying among the debris was still alive and simply sleeping soundly. Taking a step back so as not to smell that scent anymore, Aerith smoothly walked toward the young guy peacefully sleeping among the yellow flowers.
Carefully approaching, Aerith smoothly squatted down to examine him better. The first thing she immediately noticed was that he didn't smell of alcohol at all, but rather something very pleasant and sweet. Carefully leaning forward, Aerith looked attentively at the young guy's face, and the first thing she thought was that he was really very handsome.
Feeling a strange feeling inside, Aerith timidly extended her hand and carefully poked the stranger's cheek with her finger, trying to wake him up. After carefully poking the guy's cheek a couple of times, Aerith thoughtfully tilted her head to the side, listening to how he was quietly breathing.
"Is he really sleeping? But they just fell from above, how can you sleep so calmly in such a situation?" Aerith said thoughtfully, once again looking up in surprise at the through hole in the ceiling.
Aerith sincerely couldn't understand how one could fall from above and still continue to sleep calmly. Sitting on her haunches, Aerith propped her cheeks up with her palms, openly admiring the sleeping stranger's face. She didn't understand why, but this guy seemed so close to her, as if they had known each other for a long time, even if this was their very first meeting.
Aerith even quietly laughed for a moment, remembering last night's event with the two shooting stars. It seemed quite amusing to her that last night she had made a wish, and today she suddenly met two strangers in her secret place that usually no one went to. Aerith thought that perhaps this was fate or just a strange coincidence that such a thing had happened, or maybe it was that very miracle she had asked for.
Stopping her quiet laughter, Aerith extended her hand again and carefully poked the young guy's cheek with her finger, stubbornly continuing her attempts to wake him. After a couple of pokes to the guy's cheek, Aerith noticed his eyelids beginning to flutter slightly. A moment later he impulsively opened his eyes.
The first thing Aerith saw were his unique rainbow eyes. Seeing this gaze, Aerith blinked in surprise, struck to the depths of her soul by the color. Looking at the awakened guy, Aerith smiled softly, openly looking at him with her big green eyes.
"You're already awake, sleepyhead. How did you sleep?" Aerith asked with a sweet smile, looking at the young guy.
"What the fuck?!" Alex yelled wildly, seeing a very familiar face right in front of him.
To be continued...
(So, here's the first chapter introducing you to the world of FF7. I gave you a bit of lore through the legend Aerith read. And now, what are my plans for events in this world? Well, there will be a bit of chaos in Midgar; after all, for Alex, it's a world on par with Night City, where the rich live well and the poor don't. So, we need to cause chaos, and take Aerith and everyone else with us. How it all unfolds, well, that's a secret. But I think we won't stop at just Midgar. Yeah. Now I'm going to go get something to eat. Peace, love, and Wake the fuck up, Samurai, we have a city to burn.)
