Chapter 101 Teaching the Church to Cook
Chapter 101 Teaching the Church to Cook
Time flies, and the exam is just around the corner. I'll stick to my usual routine and approach the exam with a calm mind.
Soon it was time for the last dinner of the year's holiday.
This year, Slytherin won the House Cup again, and I also achieved the top score in my grade.
As night falls, the Great Hall of Hogwarts is illuminated by warm candlelight and shimmering magical light.
The long table was laden with a sumptuous feast, emitting an enticing aroma.
The students were laughing and chatting, filled with anticipation and a relaxed atmosphere.
The professors sat on the high platform, smiling as they watched the students. Headmaster Dumbledore stood up, raised his wand, and with a gentle wave, cheerful music filled the hall. The students applauded, and the banquet officially began.
One delicious dish after another was served, including roast chicken, roast beef, vegetable salad, and fruit platters. The students enjoyed the food to their hearts' content, exchanging their feelings after the exams and their holiday plans.
Every young wizard felt incredibly relieved; the pressure of the exam had finally disappeared.
Halfway through the dinner, Headmaster Dumbledore stood up again.
His gaze swept across the entire room, then he smiled and said, "Dear students, on this special night, I would like to say a few words to you. First of all, I would like to congratulate you on completing this semester's studies and exams. You have all worked hard, and I am proud of you."
The students applauded enthusiastically, and Headmaster Dumbledore continued, "Secondly, I hope you all have a good rest and relax during the holidays. At the same time, don't forget to study and improve. There are still many unknown areas in the magical world waiting for you to explore."
"Finally, I want to remind you that wherever you are, remember that Hogwarts is your home. Your friends and teachers are here, and we will always support you." Headmaster Dumbledore's voice was full of warmth and care.
The banquet continued in a cheerful atmosphere. The students enjoyed the delicious food, chatted, and spent an unforgettable evening.
As the dinner came to a close, the students rose to say goodbye to their professors and classmates. Filled with memories and anticipation, they left the hall to welcome the upcoming holidays.
A group of us sat in a compartment on the Hogwarts Express on our way home.
"Ayers, are you coming to our house for the holidays again?" Fred hooked his arm around my shoulder and pressed his whole body against me.
“We look forward to your arrival.” George also hooked his arm around me, and I carried the weight of both of them by myself.
"It should be possible, but it has to be in the last week. I have plans for my vacation earlier, and I might go to France." I want to take advantage of the vacation to visit my brother. Riddle and I have both saved him once, but he still lets his lover lock him up. It's really speechless.
Is this some kind of flirting game they're playing? I need to go see where he died.
“I think we can go buy books together,” Cedric suddenly suggested. Since everyone was going to buy books anyway, they could go together.
“I can do it.” Oliver was fine with it. He always bought books by himself. When he was little, his parents would accompany him, but now he could go by himself without bothering them. He was also fine with his friends making plans.
“Of course we’re fine with it.” Fred and George didn’t want to go to the book store with their mother either; it was much better to go with their friends.
“Me too.” Percy wanted to spend more time with me, and he certainly had no problem going to the book-buying trip together.
"Okay, we'll keep in touch by letter and arrange to go to Diagon Alley together." That's how we made our agreement.
When we arrived at the station, I was surprised to find Severus there to pick me up.
This time, he wasn't hiding in a corner; he was standing in the crowd waiting.
He was wearing a long black robe, his face was pale, and he looked at me with gentle eyes.
The twins and Percy, who were standing nearby, looked at Severus Snape in surprise, then turned to look at me.
Cedric already knew about my relationship with Severus, but he just watched with a smile.
Oliver didn't care about any of that; he only paid attention to everything related to Quidditch.
"Then I'll be leaving now. Don't write to me during the first half of the holiday, I'm afraid you won't be able to reach me. Let's meet again in the last week." I was afraid that I would be in France by then, and this British owl would be exhausted from sending letters that far away.
“Okay.” Cedric was the first to react; he nodded to me.
“Okay.” Percy snapped out of his daze and nodded back to me.
"Mm," Oliver responded.
“Let’s go.” I walked up to Severus, grabbed his wrist, and he simply teleported away with me.
"Ayers, what are your plans for this holiday?" Severus asked impatiently as soon as he got back to his house. From my conversation with those Gryffindor boys, he had a feeling that I was planning to go on a long trip during the holiday.
"Yes, I might need to go to France. Would you like to come with me?" I was going to tell Severus about my other identity.
“I’ll go.” Severus had always thought I was mysterious, and he wanted to know more about me.
"Okay, let's rest for a few days first, and then plan a trip to France." It's a rare opportunity to take Severus on a trip.
Last time I went with Riddle, we didn't really do much fun; we were mostly on business. This time, let's take Severus along and have some fun.
As night fell, I led Severus into the kitchen. He was wearing a long black robe and looked somewhat uncomfortable.
"These are the cooking tools?" he asked, frowning.
"Yes, we're going to cook together tonight," I replied with a smile.
Severus looked at me with a hint of confusion on his face.
“Cooking? I’ve never done that before,” he said.
“It’s okay, I’ll teach you,” I said.
I took out some ingredients and began to teach Severus how to cook. He listened attentively to my explanation, nodding occasionally.
“First, we need to wash the rice clean,” I said.
Severus picked up the rice and began to wash it carefully.
"Then, we need to put the rice in the pot and add the right amount of water," I said.
Severus did as I instructed.
“Next, we need to put the pot on the stove and simmer it over a low flame,” I said.
Severus nodded and placed the pot on the stove.
“Cooking rice will take some time, so we can prepare some side dishes first,” I said.
Severus looked at me with a hint of anticipation on his face.
“Okay, I will do my best,” he said.
Severus and I prepared some side dishes and then put them on plates.
“The rice is ready,” Severus said.
I went over to take a look, and the rice was cooked perfectly.
“That’s great, Severus,” I said.
Severus looked at me with a slight smile on his face.
"Thank you, it really gave me a taste of what it's like to cook," he said.
Severus and I sat at the table, enjoying the meal we had cooked ourselves.
It was a great experience! Teaching Si to cook was really interesting.
