Chapter 926: LET ME REMIND YOU!
Chapter 926: LET ME REMIND YOU!
Looking up to the sky, Kael and Seth saw that the crack they had made when entering this Myriad Heaven was slowly getting wider.Crawling on the liquid paint-like sky were millions of ants that quickly let go and fell to the ground as soon as they could.
Those that could fly started forming swarms.
And as the crack began to spread and widen into a legit portal gate, the figures of numerous arkships and giant ants could be seen clearly.
This marked the beginning of another Heavenly Invasion, one that was not initiated by Kale but was nonetheless caused by him.
"They came for you?" The slime man said, narrowing his slime eyes into fine slits. His voice was dangerously neutral and unprovoked.
"Indeed," Kael nodded.
Seth took a step back, but it wouldn’t matter. There was a certain relief he had because he was currently standing next to a god but at the same time he still feared for his life.
Seth did a self-assessment and noticed that he had really been entering a lot of high-risk events these days. All because of Kael.
And the Kael that was even putting him in these situations tended to remain calm, if not more aggressive in his actions.
"We can’t fight against them on our own obviously, but we need enough time to clear out the path to help you leave this realm..."
When Kael said this, the slime man turned to look at Kael, "You will break through the barrier, I will kill them."
He declared as if he was stating the fact. It was at this point that Kael and Seth noticed that the souls and sky had begun to shift and change forms.
The reason why they couldn’t see any sign of madness or change on the slime man was that the Slime Man was not Change, it was merely the avatar the deity was using to interact with them.
Change was aware of the urgency of time now that Kael had explained it. The Highest Will wanted to wipe out heaven and this Ant God was supportive of the former’s decisions.
It had made a decision to itself and its intent was shown.
Calmness, even though brief, could also be one of the many masks that madness could assume.
One just needed to take a look at Katari.
And in Myriad Heaven, if Change was everywhere, so was the Madness.
He wasn’t calm, oh no. Change, if anyone who knew him from before could say anything, knew that he wasn’t calm.
His quietness usually meant he was in an observation mode, just taking in information and making a decision.
Madness did not mean lack of intelligence. In the case of Change, the Slime God, it even meant he was far more intelligent.
Suddenly, the slime man began to walk away from Kael and Seth.
"Both of you, you must free me from my bondage, if not I will kill you myself.
When I am free, maybe I will allow you to tag along as I peel the skin off that fucking elephant bastard and drag his carcass across a thousand galaxies."
*BOOM!*
An aura far more overbearing than Kael and Seth’s burst out of the slime man. His face was shockingly stoic but his voice rang true with vengeance.
Vengeance so clear and bloody that it could not be satisfied even if he washed the hands of every living being with blood.
To be trapped with no one to talk to for hundreds of millions of years. The only thing he had to entertain and keep himself busy was himself.
His voice may be monotone and sound very neutral, but that was all it was. To understand the maddening rage within this disturbed God, one just had to feel the instability of the aura around him.
The soil and sky began to move erratically. Immediately, without thinking twice, Kael hovered into the sky, Seth followed.
Their feet were off the ground in the blink of an eye and they flew hundreds of meters into the air.
When Kael looked down again, he saw a sight that made him sigh in appreciative dread and glee.
The world had begun to change over and over again, constantly shifting from one minor shape to one major shape.
Thousands of objects sprouted from the ground. Swords, spears, hands, sticks, trees, air, rivers, mountains, cities, and so on.
Right before Kael’s eyes, he saw things that he couldn’t describe. Things that filled his cold heart with genuine awe.
Adding to the greatness of the scenery, the sky began to bleed down, mixing with the soil constructs to make the changes far more complex than they already were.
And in the midst of all these changes, the slime man stood with his face staring at the sky filled with ants.
His arms were by his side, the greenish blue fingers squeezed into slimy fists and his spine was defyingly straight.
"You locked me up for so long, and turned my home into my prison..." The slime man said, his voice echoing telepathically as the sea of transformations became more intense.
"You decide to break in, and you do it so unapologetically!
Order! Have you forgotten what happened the last time we met?"
The slime man tilted his head and began to walk forward. His feet were lifted into the air as he took flight.
His body began to stretch and deform, becoming bigger and bigger every second. His arms elongated, one stretching out into a slimy whip and the other hardening into a slime blade.
His legs fused together, then separated, spreading out to form thousands of tentacles that covered the land.
Up above, the ants were descending, falling from the sky. And because there were so many, some of them were falling towards the slime man who was now a gigantic slime monster.
The ants were truly numerous, covering the sky and dotting everywhere with their presence.
They varied in shapes and sizes, still insects with six limbs. But they came in various castes.
Calm and collected, this giant slime being stared at the sky with narrowed slime eyes that held too much madness that was being suppressed.
"Have you forgotten how you begged for your life?
Have you forgotten how close you came to being the first god to die?
Have you forgotten my strength, have you forgotten just how much I hated you?
Have you forgotten how much I wanted to destroy you and that bastard who claims to be the Highest?
Have you, Order, forgotten how they had to save you from me?"
As the manifestation of the slime God rose and grew, so did his voice and the realm in unison.
"Have you forgotten that I am Change?!
COME! LET ME REMIND YOU!"
*BOOM!*
Kael’s ears were blasted open, blood splashing everywhere as a motherload of sonic shock waves slammed right into his face, shattering his protective aura and blasting him back.
Two streaks of light shot into the ground, tearing through the soil for millions of light years before stopping.
This was just the aftereffects.
The last thing Seth and Kael saw before they were hit by that godly shockwave was the image of the slime being raised his slime whip hand and whipping at the sky.
The world flipped completely, literally.
No, Myriad Heaven was actually turned upside down in the most literal sense as it somersaulted on its own axis over and over again.
Kael knew this because he kept on feeling the change in his center of gravity.
From the farthest north to the last horizon of the south, the colorful sky was split open.
The Gap that had never been opened for hundreds of millions of years in this realm was forced to appear.
Like the genital of a woman giving birth to her first child, the edges of the cracked sky were pried open, widening the entrance to the Myriad and exposing the layers of runes that kept the Divine master within.
The entrance was widened, allowing more ants to climb through, but so what?
Let them come.
He wanted them to come.
He wanted them to provide a semblance of excitement to his boring existence.
Besides, that single whiplash from him had completely annihilated the first wave of ants that had crawled through.
Every single one of them, as many as they had been, was gone.
There were Immortals amongst that swarm, many of whom would be big shots in the Alphaverse.
But they didn’t hold their own for a single second against the cold wrath of a god gone rogue.
Far away, at the extreme ends of the reaches of the shockwave, Kael’s powerful hand burst out of the ground and he cracked his way out, shooting into the sky and shaking his head to remove the bits of dirt in his hair.
"What the actual fuck?" Seth exclaimed, having come out of the ground before Kael and looking at the awe-inspiring scene.
Gone was that attitude that they knew him for. He couldn’t pretend what he saw and experienced wasn’t incredible.
Even Kael had to break his cold demeanor out of sheer admiration.
The strong admired those who were stronger than them.
