Chapter 897 : Crushing And Getting Crushed

The Cursed Sword strolled back to her original position casually, even going ahead to inspect her sword like one might inspect their own nails.

I turned back to the other girls, expecting them to be hesitant about going up against the Cursed Sword after she basically decimated two of our team mates.

Contrary to my expectations, they all looked at me with eager expressions on their faces, all having that 'pick me next!' look.

When I lifted my palm to look at the coin, I found the result was heads.

I pointed at the Trapping Lamia and she gave a fist punch of victory before she slithered into the arena, coiling herself up in front of my tower.

The Cursed Sword didn't even acknowledge her, clearly assured of her own victory and merely busied herself with checking her own sword.

Verdam didn't comment on that and simply raised his hand to announce, "Battle... Start!"

"Go! Defeat her!" I ordered.

Hey, what else could I say? It's not like I know any of her skills, ok?!

I watched as the Cursed Sword lifted her blade, most likely aiming to cut off the Lamia's head like she had done to the other two when the Pitfall Lamia suddenly shot forward without warning.

Verdam lifted his hand to announce the start of the battle again.

He really should get something else to start it for him instead... Guess I'll recommend that to him after this is done.

Verdam then pointed a finger at the Pitfall Lamia, "Go Killia! Subdue her!"

There was a rumble in the ground and the Lamia looked around the arena uneasily, right before the ground beneath her flowed upwards like some kind of liquid.

The Lamia tried to get away from it but the liquefied ground had already encased her tail which only made her attempt end up with her falling on her back as her tail was stuck to the ground.

The mud-like ground flowed up her snake tail and did not just stop there as it started moving up to her Mahun half of her body as well.

"Free yourself!" I called out to her, although it looked like her fate was already sealed.

The Lamia tried to pull herself away again but she still remained stuck in the mud that was flowing towards her. She then tried to punch at the mud but that only made a ripple on its surface without slowing it down.

The mud reached her chest and also encapsulated her arms, pinning the Lamia down on the ground.

A blob then rose out from the mud to form into a girl with the same colouration as the ground that was moving, her long hair tied up in a ponytail.

I'm guessing that's the Dorome.

"Mmm~ Time to sleep~" The newly appeared Monster Girl giggled, moving the mud upwards to cover the Lamia's face.

Ironic that the Lamia had won her previous fight by restraining her opponent only to get restrained this time.
