My Favorite Game Followed Me!

Chapter 845

Chapter 845

The tavern, simply named the Minstrels’ Tavern, was filled to the brim. At a cursory glance, most of the customers appeared to be musicians, since nearly everyone carried some sort of musical instrument. At first, Anton thought he would feel excited seeing skilled musicians gathered in a tavern-like setting, but instead, the place only made him a little sad. It reminded him of Antonia, Lucia, Philip, and Walter.

The four wealthy nobles he had met in the Patrons’ Bar aboard the Amelia had been true connoisseurs of the arts. Rather than being spoiled rich youths, the four scions of New Drennor’s influential families had been responsible young adults fully capable of expanding the wealth and influence of their respective houses.

Anton remembered when Antonia and Lucia had organized a cosplay convention on one of the islands they passed while traveling from Rendindura to New Drennor. It had been a glorious event, made successful through the brilliance and creativity of the two young women.

He also remembered how the concept of the cinema business had first been proposed by Antonia and the others. Since the cinema aboard the Amelia had proven successful, they had already begun planning its expansion in New Drennor. Their ambitions extended far beyond cinema alone. They had envisioned an entire commercial center dedicated to otaku culture, complete with stores selling merchandise based on movies, anime, and television shows.

The mall would have sold everything from costumes and accessories to collectible action figures. There would have been regular cosplay events and countless other attractions. Unfortunately, the destruction of the Amelia and the deaths of nearly all its passengers—everyone except Anton, his father, and his sister—had turned those dreams into nothing more than memories.

Anton could have pursued such a business venture after arriving in Ormunda, and he had indeed established the Cinema Business, but he had been too heartbroken to expand beyond that.

The deaths of his friends aboard the Amelia had greatly diminished his enthusiasm for sharing Earth’s otaku culture with the people of this world.

He still enjoyed otaku culture, but his ambitions had changed. Rather than simply spreading Earth’s entertainment and hobbies, he now sought to become a multidimensional adventurer.

Anton pushed aside his sadness. He wanted to move forward instead of lingering on painful memories like a ghost trapped in the past.

Joel and Eric wasted no time taking advantage of someone else paying for their meal. They ordered large amounts of food and alcohol from the waiter passing by their table. Anton joined in as well, since he had not eaten yet.

When the food and drinks arrived, the three young men ignored everything else and focused entirely on eating. They even paid little attention to the talented female minstrel singing on the tiny stage.

It was understandable. All three of them were young men capable of devouring enormous amounts of food.

They also consumed a ridiculous amount of alcohol.

Anton found it amusing when a bill was delivered to them long before they had finished eating or drinking. Apparently, unlike the luxurious establishments near his cabin, the tavern did not recognize him and wanted to ensure that the three of them could actually pay.

After Anton handed the waiter a purse filled with dozens of gold coins, the man visibly relaxed, and the food and drinks suddenly began arriving much faster. Anton guessed the staff had realized that the three young men were wealthy customers.

The three of them had come to this hidden gem to enjoy good music, but instead, they spent the next several hours drinking heavily while exchanging increasingly incoherent stories that became difficult to understand due to their drunkenness.

Eventually, Joel and Eric finally succumbed to the alcohol and collapsed beneath the table, while Anton remained awake and only slightly drunk. His robust vitality allowed him to consume liters of alcohol without being overly affected.

After paying the bill, he summoned several staff members to help him carry his two new friends back to his quarters. When the tavern workers learned where Anton’s rooms were located, they became visibly excited. Everyone aboard the ship knew that only the wealthy and influential could stay in that section.

Anton could have carried Joel and Eric himself using Telekinesis, but such a display of magic might alarm the other passengers. To avoid unnecessary attention, he chose the more mundane option and had the tavern staff carry the two young men instead.

After paying the three burly men who transported them, Anton allowed them to drop Joel and Eric onto the floor of one of the guest rooms.

He entered the room afterward and created a Frozen Orb Air Conditioner before cleaning the entire place with magic to ensure the room would be comfortable. Once that was done, he cast several cleaning spells on the sleeping youths to remove the stench of sweat and alcohol from their bodies. Using Telekinesis, he lifted the two young men and placed them on the bed.

Anton felt mildly amused imagining the two waking up beside each other the next morning. He could have used separate guest rooms, but he simply could not be bothered. Besides, the two were cousins and appeared close enough that sharing a bed would not bother them.

After taking a shower, Anton returned to his own room to rest.

The following morning, he woke at around ten o’clock. When he stepped outside, he discovered that Joel and Eric were still asleep.

Picking up a pillow, Anton repeatedly smacked the two young men until they finally woke up.

“Hey! Stop that,” Joel protested sleepily.

Eric also woke, but unlike his cousin, he immediately sat upright and stared around the unfamiliar room with wide eyes.

“Where are we?” Eric exclaimed.

“I had a couple of waiters bring you to my rooms last night,” Anton replied. “Now that you’re awake, the two of you can freshen up. There’s a bathroom behind that door. Afterward, I’ll treat you both to food, and then you can help me explore the rest of the Middle.”

Anton left the room and allowed the two cousins to take care of themselves.

Sometime later, Eric and Joel emerged from the guest room. At the very least, they had taken the opportunity to bathe.

“Our clothes are clean,” Joel said. “Actually, they’re cleaner than before we met you. Did you do something?”

“Last night, both of you smelled awful, so I used a few cleaning spells on you. I didn’t want you stinking up my rooms,” Anton answered.

“Man, this is the best room I’ve seen aboard the Amelia. Your family must be unbelievably rich,” Eric said while admiring the decorations in the living room.

Soon afterward, both Eric and Joel began wandering through the various rooms of the suite, and Anton simply let them.

Besides, he knew the two young men were clever enough not to ruin the opportunity of befriending an extremely wealthy noble by attempting to steal from him.

“I could die happy if I got to live here while traveling to Izmorta,” Joel muttered softly.

“Where are you two staying?” Anton asked.

“Our place is a tiny room in the Bottom,” Eric answered.

“The Bottom?”

“That’s what we call the lowest part of the ship where the poor stay,” Joel explained.

“So the Middle is the trade hub, and the Bottom is where the common folk live. What do people call this section? The Upper?”

“No,” Joel replied. “We just call it the Noble Section. Everyone from the Bottom knows this is where rich nobles and powerful wizards stay.”Top of FormBottom of Form
