Chapter 409: Leave the Destruction to You!
Chapter 409: Leave the Destruction to You!
March 23rd."Phew. After comparing the two, the Kanto region really is far less stable than back home. Too bad I still haven't found Team Rocket's headquarters."
After confirming that there had been no unusual online activity across Kanto over the past few days, Lin Feng finally let out a sigh of relief.
What surprised him most was that Team Rocket operated more than a dozen research facilities of varying sizes.
The moment he realized how many there were, his mood turned heavy.
No wonder the Kanto League had struggled in recent years.
With an organization like this deeply embedded within the region, how could the Pokémon living in the wild possibly thrive?
And if wild Pokémon were constantly being targeted and exploited, how could they ever learn to coexist peacefully with humans?
To be honest, these past few days had been the most exhausting since Lin Feng arrived in this world.
Yet every time he saw the Pokémon trapped inside those laboratories, he knew this was something that had to be done.
"Sigh..."
The conditions some of those Pokémon endured were horrific.
Unfortunately, there was no way to save them immediately.
If he launched a rescue operation now, all of his preparations would be wasted, and most of Team Rocket's facilities would remain untouched.
That would solve nothing.
Fortunately, tomorrow was the day.
Lin Feng checked the time and reviewed the plan in his mind.
Because the open sea lay beyond the League's strict jurisdiction, Team Rocket had established many of its research facilities offshore. It was one of the easiest places for them to operate unnoticed.
There were five major facilities at sea.
The operation would begin at ten o'clock sharp.
Once it started, he would have to strike all five locations with lightning speed.
Blue had already been informed.
At 10:10 a.m., League rescue teams would arrive to evacuate the captive Pokémon.
The faster everything was resolved, the better.
If only Gardevoir and Mewtwo participated, the mission would be difficult.
The biggest issue was distance.
The five facilities were spread far apart, making it impossible to clear them all quickly through conventional means.
Fortunately, Lin Feng already had a solution.
This time, they would rely on Giratina's Reverse World.
"Let's hope everything goes smoothly tomorrow..."
Lying in a randomly chosen inn, Lin Feng stared at the ceiling and quietly murmured to himself.
...
March 24th.
A gentle sea breeze drifted across the ocean.
The sky was a brilliant blue, and warm sunlight sparkled across the water in countless ripples. From time to time, schools of fish leaped from the sea's surface.
High above the ocean, Lin Feng stood in the sky wearing a white travel cloak and a mask. Beside him floated Mewtwo and Gardevoir in their human forms.
"Just follow the plan we discussed. Mewtwo, put everyone inside to sleep. Gardevoir, use the Poké Balls Mewtwo created to capture all the Pokémon. I'll receive every Pokémon you send out."
"Understood."
"Gardevoir!"
Lin Feng lightly touched the Mega Stone on his wrist.
A brilliant flash erupted.
Wrapped in dazzling light, Mega Gardevoir appeared before them in her elegant black gown.
Time quietly passed.
The wild Pokémon on the island continued their daily routines.
Wingull rested peacefully near the shoreline.
The island itself was enormous.
Naturally, any island chosen to house a major research facility would need ample space.
Countless species of Pokémon lived there.
Primeape roamed the central forest alongside Caterpie and Metapod.
On the beaches, Krabby, Psyduck, and Slowpoke wandered about, either playing or competing for food.
Then the appointed moment arrived.
Almost instantly, every Pokémon on the island fell asleep.
Inside the facility, Team Rocket personnel monitoring security cameras immediately noticed the anomaly.
Their expressions changed dramatically.
Several reached for the alarm system.
But before they could react, overwhelming psychic power swept through the facility.
One after another, they succumbed to drowsiness.
As consciousness faded, the last thing they saw was a pink-and-white figure staring down at them with cold eyes.
Elsewhere within the research complex, Mega Gardevoir flashed from room to room.
Pokémon imprisoned throughout the facility were swiftly targeted by specially modified Poké Balls and gathered one after another.
A handful of researchers who had not yet fallen under Mewtwo's psychic influence froze in shock the moment they saw her.
But before they could do anything, they too were restrained.
Even Pokémon trapped in confusion or weakened states were carefully collected by Gardevoir and transported outside.
On the island above, Lin Feng watched as Pokémon continued appearing before him.
Their eyes reflected a mixture of emotions:
Confusion.
Fear.
Anxiety.
Panic.
He quietly sighed.
Then he released the power of Viridian Force.
A gentle green glow spread outward.
It soothed emotions.
It healed wounds.
This was the first time since arriving in this world that Lin Feng had used Viridian Force on such a massive scale.
Slowly, the fear in their eyes began to fade.
Their gazes brightened.
Confusion remained, but panic disappeared.
Lin Feng spoke softly.
"Don't be afraid. Soon, people will arrive to take you home. You'll either return to where you belong or be brought somewhere safe where you can live peacefully."
Without this reassurance, the League's rescue teams would have faced enormous difficulties calming the rescued Pokémon.
"Chu?"
"Woo..."
Various cries echoed around him.
Combined with the calming effect of Viridian Force, the rescued Pokémon gradually settled down.
Or perhaps they simply sensed the immense power within the young man standing before them.
As fewer and fewer Pokémon emerged from the facility, Lin Feng knew the rescue was nearly complete.
Only then did he take out the Poké Balls containing Salamence and Dragonite.
The next moment, he placed a hand on Gardevoir's shoulder.
Teleport.
In an instant, they appeared inside the research facility.
Machines still hummed.
Indicator lights flashed on and off.
Data continued scrolling across countless monitors.
But every researcher and Team Rocket member had already been gathered into one location, suspended in place by Mewtwo's psychic power.
At that moment, Mewtwo released its hypnosis.
The captured researchers and Team Rocket operatives slowly regained consciousness.
And the first thing they saw was Lin Feng standing beside Mewtwo.
Only a minute had passed.
Just sixty seconds earlier, the facility had been operating normally.
Now everything had changed.
A pink-and-white-haired boy.
A mysterious masked figure wrapped from head to toe.
And a Gardevoir unlike anything they had ever seen before.
"Who are you?!"
"You have no idea what you're doing!"
"This is Team Rocket territory! If you make enemies of Team Rocket, you'll regret it for the rest of your life!"
"Damn it! My arms won't move!"
The terrified shouting echoed throughout the room.
Lin Feng ignored every word.
He simply tapped the Poké Balls in his hand.
Then he smiled.
"The destruction is yours, Salamence. Dragonite."
Without another glance, he turned and walked away.
Behind him, two Poké Balls opened simultaneously.
Two overwhelming dragon roars shook the entire facility.
And the real destruction began.
