Chapter 3 This World Is Not Ordinary
Chapter 3 This World Is Not Ordinary
"Alright, alright, that's about time. That's enough questions for now. You can ask them again after class. I need to start the lesson now. Natsuo, you can go sit next to Miura Yumiko, that blond guy."
"Hiratsuka-sensei, this is called blonde hair," Miura Yumiko retorted, twirling a strand of hair behind her ear.
"It's all the same. Why are you dyeing your hair at such a young age instead of learning good things?" Hiratsuka Shizuka scolded disdainfully.
"Ugh..." Miura Yumiko bit her lip, angry but unable to speak out.
At this school, Hiratsuka Shizuka's reputation is well-known; everyone both wants to be taught by her and doesn't want to be taught by her.
Because Hiratsuka Shizuka is approachable and beautiful, but a little violent.
There was no deskmate arrangement in the class; everyone sat next to each other. Natsumi sat down to the left of Miura Yumiko.
Yumiko Miura is a very beautiful girl with regular features and a head of shiny blonde hair that falls in big waves. Although it looks a bit flashy, it exudes an elegant and generous temperament.
Just like a rich heiress.
"Miura-san, please take care of me from now on." Natsuo greeted Miura Yumiko after he sat down.
"Natsu-san, you can ask me if you have any questions in the future," Miura Yumiko said, showing her goodwill.
"That's great! I was quite nervous when I came here today, as I'm unfamiliar with the place," Xia Sheng said happily.
"Is that so? But that's how it is when you transfer schools."
"Yes, it's so great to meet such a kind classmate like Miura-san right after arriving."
"Huh? Gentle? Me?" Miura Yumiko blinked in surprise.
"Yes, that's right." Xia Sheng nodded with a smile.
"Are you... the type to just say what you mean?" Miura Yumiko turned her head away, embarrassed.
"I'm just telling the truth, so I'd like to ask you to show me around the campus during my break."
"That's no problem..."
"You two over there, why are you already flirting like that at the very beginning? Pay attention in class!" Hiratsuka Shizuka suddenly interrupted Miura Yumiko.
"What?! What do you mean by 'lovey-dovey'?!" Miura Yumiko blushed shyly at what she was being told.
"Isn't that right? And the new kid, has he forgotten my warning?" Hiratsuka Shizuka stared at Natsuo.
"I'm innocent! I just wanted Miura-kun to show me around the campus later," Natsuo replied truthfully.
"Then why don't you find a man? There's a man right next to you."
"I......"
"In short, pay attention in class!"
"yes......"
Natsuki felt that Hiratsuka Shizuka was watching him, but luckily he had just arrived and it wasn't time for her to ask him questions in class.
He doesn't need to worry about revealing his true skill level for the time being.
But with this setting, he has to go home and do his homework, otherwise he might be accused of cheating on the entrance exam if he doesn't know anything when asked.
The morning passed peacefully. After lunch, Natsumi was taken on a tour of the campus by Miura Yumiko and the others.
Xia Sheng ate lunch with them again.
Of course, it wasn't because they were particularly enthusiastic; Xia Sheng didn't know where the cafeteria was, so he shamelessly asked them to take him there.
This Jingxiu Martial Arts High School was a school Xia Sheng knew nothing about; logically, he should have been at Zongwu High School.
Something's wrong with this world.
But it doesn't matter to Xia Sheng. Whether the world changes or not doesn't matter. With them around, it's a good world.
Along with Miura Yumiko were Ebina Hina and Yuigahama Yui.
Hina Ebina is quite pretty; she wears red-rimmed glasses and looks very quiet.
Yui Yuigahama is a cute girl with brown hair and a bun, but she looks timid and hesitant, as if she is just agreeing with the people around her.
She didn't come along on her own initiative; she was dragged along by Yumiko Miura.
Natsumi didn't try to strike up a conversation with her; he simply followed Miura Yumiko on a tour of the school.
The school is very large, with teaching buildings, old teaching buildings, courtyards, office buildings, club buildings, as well as a gymnasium and playground, making it more complete than the universities Xia Sheng had attended before.
After the tour was almost over and lunch break was over, Xia Sheng went back to class with them.
There were only two classes in the afternoon, and it was only a little past three o'clock when they ended. Xia Sheng felt like the class hadn't even started yet, and he already had to go home.
How easy!
He would definitely be able to accept this kind of learning if he read it again, not to mention that they also exist.
Xia Sheng's only regret was that it was Friday, and he had just arrived, and now it was almost the weekend.
He really enjoys weekends, but this world, this school, is different!
Moreover, he hadn't seen the aloof girl with long, straight black hair, nor did he know if she was even at the school.
After school, Xia Sheng went home alone.
His apartment building is a five-story building, but it occupies a large area, and there are only two households on each floor.
This apartment building must have been intentionally built by the developer, because it's not far from the school and there's a small park nearby.
It's clearly a school district property.
But ordinary people can't afford it, so Xia Sheng relies entirely on his salary.
Xia Sheng lived on the third floor. He took the elevator upstairs and headed towards his home.
His home was inside, and when he passed by his neighbor's house with a nameplate bearing his surname, he didn't think much of it.
Back home, Xia Sheng tossed his schoolbag aside, sat on the sofa in the living room, and began to think about his future.
Now that I'm all alone, I'll have to rely on myself for everything.
He didn't care, after all, he had always lived alone, so he just didn't have many life skills.
If all else fails, you can eat out, buy a lunchbox from the supermarket, or become self-taught.
This brings us to the issue of funding; given his setup, he shouldn't be short of money.
Thinking this, Xia Sheng took out the phone that "World" had prepared for him and checked his personal account.
He was stunned when he looked at it; the account had a six-figure sum, and it even started with the number two.
This is Japanese currency, what is he going to do now?
Will he have to work for someone else?
"Hey! Can't you give me more money? How am I supposed to live like this?"
Xia Sheng looked up at the void and questioned it, but received no response. Since yesterday, the "world" has been completely silent.
He wasn't told how to help Him.
Xia Sheng became worried about Him, after all, He had said that He had been corrupted, and he didn't want anything to happen to this world.
He asked a few more times in the void, but still received no response, so he had to give up for the time being.
Since He said He needed His help, He would definitely come to Him if He encountered difficulties.
He had something important to consider: funding. He couldn't afford to squander his meager savings.
But he doesn't have any outstanding abilities. He can't just rely on his looks to become a waiter or something, can he?
The weekend is fine too; he can use these two days to look for a part-time job that he can handle.
Putting aside the matter of funds for the time being, Xia Sheng returned to his room and began to study seriously, determined to solidify his image as a top student.
To his surprise, he had a strong learning ability; he could learn something at a glance, remember it once he learned it, and understand it after a moment's thought.
That should be considered compensation.
That gives us hope that things won't go wrong.
Xia Sheng stopped studying late into the evening, went to the supermarket to buy a cheap half-price bento, ate it, and then washed up and prepared to go to bed.
It's not about self-discipline, it's just that I'm too tired.
Studying is too hard.
This time, Xia Sheng fell asleep with a different kind of anticipation than last night, believing that the next day would be wonderful.
However, when he opened his eyes again, he found himself not lying in bed, but in an unfamiliar environment that resembled a cave, surrounded by stone pillars.
The sealed environment was brightly lit despite the lack of light sources; apart from the stone walls and pillars, there was nothing else.
Xia Sheng didn't rush to look around; a simple data panel actually appeared in his mind.
Xia Sheng: 16 years old.
Strength: 5.
Intelligence: 8.
Spirit: 9.
Speed: 5.
Charisma: 8.
Skills: None.
"This is......"
"here it is?"
Just as Xia Sheng was asking in confusion, a cold voice rang in his ears. He looked toward the source of the voice and his eyes widened.
There stood a girl with long, straight black hair, so beautiful and ethereal, like a fairy in a painting.
