Constantine's eyes widened suddenly. He felt that the intricate chains of contracts that had bound him deep within his soul, like a spiderweb, had all... snapped in that instant!
The blood pact with Negal, the fraudulent agreement with the "Trinity," the soul pledges to the various lords of Hell... all of these were forcibly erased from their very roots by an irresistible force at this moment!
He is free.
Unprecedented freedom.
But what followed was not liberation, but something ten thousand times more terrifying than falling into hell... nakedness!
He lost the protection of all contracts; he was no longer an "asset" of any demon king.
He became a lost soul, exuding an alluring fragrance, exposed to the gaze of the entire hell!
He could almost hear the demons he had deceived, tricked, and betrayed roaring greedily and excitedly in their respective dimensions.
He could feel countless eyes from the depths of hell, piercing through the barriers of space and locking onto him.
"No...no!!! What did you do!"
Constantine clutched his head, trembling violently, his eyes wide with shock and disbelief as he stared at Su Hui.
He would rather be bound by those contracts for the rest of his life than face this situation!
That means that once he dies, his soul will be torn to the smallest fragments by countless creditors who will come upon hearing the news!
"Did you hear that, John?"
Su Hui's voice, like a devil's whisper, rang in his ears, "That's the dinner bell of hell. They can't wait to taste your main course."
Su Hui slowly squatted down, pinched Constantine's chin, and forced him to raise his head and look directly into his eyes, which were as deep as the universe.
"Now, I'm giving you a choice."
"First, I'll release you. In less than three seconds, you'll be devoured by hellish diners who have come running. Believe me, it will be a grand feast, and every piece of your soul will experience a completely new kind of pain."
"two……"
A wicked smile spread across Su Hui's face. "Give me your filthy, despicable, yet incredibly interesting soul. Become my most loyal dog. You will sniff out all the rats hiding in the gutter for me, and I will grant you... the right to live."
This choice requires absolutely no thought.
The instinct for survival overwhelmed Constantine's pathetic dignity.
He scrambled to his knees before Su Hui, tears streaming down his face, completely devoid of the "Hell Detective" demeanor he once possessed.
He used all his strength to slam his forehead heavily onto the sand in front of Su Hui's feet.
"Master! I choose you! I am willing to be your dog! I offer you my soul, my everything! Please, please protect me! Don't let them come near!"
He pleaded incoherently, opening all his defenses and revealing his battered soul to Su Hui without reservation.
Su Hui smiled with satisfaction.
A "seed of loyalty" was planted between Constantine's eyebrows.
His expression, which had been contorted with extreme fear, quickly calmed down, replaced by an absolute and unwavering loyalty.
The cunning and roguishness in his eyes disappeared, leaving only boundless awe for his new master.
"Very good." You chant, I'm here, I'm empty, you're here, I'm not here...
Su Hui stood up, glanced at Constantine who was prostrate on the ground, and then at Zatanna who was standing beside him with equally fervent eyes.
The last two significant rebels on Earth's magical side have now fallen under his command.
This planet holds no secrets or challenges for him anymore.
He felt a little bored.
His gaze passed over the campfire and swimming pool in front of him, over the sea, and into the deep night sky.
He walked up to Hal Jordan, who had been standing silently.
This former cosmic policeman now resembled a perfect statue, only showing a hint of brilliance in his eyes when Su Hui's gaze fell upon him.
Su Hui reached out and gently tapped the green ring on Hal's finger.
"This little thing is driven by willpower. Its energy source is on a planet called OA, right?"
"Yes, my Lord."
Hal Jordan respectfully replied, "The source is the Central Energy Cell, guarded by a group of beings who call themselves the 'Guardians of the Universe.' They established the Green Lantern Corps, claiming to maintain order throughout the universe."
"Guardian of the Universe..."
Su Hui chewed on the word, a sneer appearing on his face. "What an arrogant title. A bunch of shepherds raising sheep dare to call themselves guardians?"
Conquering a planet was just an appetizer for him.
His true purpose in descending upon this place was to integrate the power of the entire universe.
And the Green Lantern Corps seems to be a good entry point.
He patted Hal Jordan on the shoulder, who immediately understood and respectfully knelt down on one knee, raising his hand, adorned with a ring, to Su Hui.
Su Hui's fingertips touched the green light ring, and a tremendous force of willpower followed the link, instantly locking onto a distant spatial coordinate in the depths of the universe.
"The issues on Earth are basically resolved, so what's next...?"
Su Hui toyed with the ring on his hand, a smile playing on his lips. "It's time to meet these so-called 'managers' of the universe."
"It's time to introduce them to the new masters of this universe."
He withdrew his gaze from the ring.
Su Hui waved his men away and turned his gaze back to the women in the pool; there was no rush.
There's a party waiting for him tonight.
Su Hui chuckled mischievously and, amidst the girls' giggles and gasps, jumped into the pool, splashing up a large wave as he approached them.
205. The cosmic spectrum is nothing more than a battery.
The center of the universe, planet OA.
This is the headquarters of the Green Lantern Corps, the cornerstone of cosmic order, and a sacred place revered by countless civilizations.
For billions of years, apart from the most insane tyrants, no one has dared to act recklessly in this place.
On the planet's surface, countless Green Lanterns, like a swarm of diligent bees, busily and methodically performed their duties. Patrols streaked across the sky, and new recruits underwent rigorous training under the roar of legendary instructor Kirowog. Everything appeared so orderly and brimming with vibrant energy.
At the very center of this planet, a colossal building, resembling a green crystal mountain, radiates a gentle yet powerful energy.
That is the central energy cell, the source of power for the entire Green Lantern Corps, the embodiment of will and emotion.
At that very moment, this eternal peace was shattered without warning.
In the huge plaza in front of the central energy battery, space twisted without warning, and then two figures appeared out of thin air.
A man with black hair and black eyes, dressed in casual Earth clothing, had an indifferent expression, as if he had just come to the park for a stroll.
The other is Hal Jordan, one of the most famous heroes in the Green Lantern Corps.
But at this moment, he was like the most humble servant, half a step behind the man, with his head bowed.
“Woo! Woo! Woo!”
The piercing alarm instantly resounded throughout the entire planet OA!
Highest level intrusion alert!
How can this be?
The defense system of Planet OA was set up by the Guardians themselves and is strong enough to withstand a saturation attack from an entire fleet. Any unauthorized teleportation will be immediately broken down into molecules!
But the alarm was not wrong.
The next second, thousands of green lights lit up in the sky.
From the training grounds, from the dormitories, from the interstellar port... every Green Lantern on OA reacted instantly.
They transformed into streaks of green meteors, converging from all directions and forming an impenetrable defensive line around the central energy battery in less than three seconds.
Thousands of cosmic elites from different races and civilizations, their eyes burning with unwavering will, their rings shining brightly.
Various energy constructs instantly materialized—huge walls, rotating turrets, ferocious monsters, dense energy spears… all weapons were aimed at the two uninvited guests in the center of the square.
This power, formed by the convergence of thousands of unwavering wills, is enough to terrify any enemy.
However, faced with this military force capable of destroying a star system, Su Hui's face remained completely calm.
He didn't even look at the Green Lanterns; he simply raised his eyelids and glanced at the enormous energy battery, as if appreciating a reasonably interesting work of art.
He released a trace of his aura.
Just a trace.
The [Divine Pressure], originating from a sixth-order demigod and infused with divine laws, swept across the entire plaza like an invisible storm.
In an instant,
Every Green Lantern felt as if their soul was being gripped and crushed by an invisible hand!
Their pride in their willpower proved as fragile as a candle flame in the wind in the face of that overwhelming pressure.
They felt they were not facing an enemy, but rather the opposite of the entire universe, a higher-dimensional, incomprehensible, and insurmountable concept of law.
"Crack...knock..."
The crisp cracking sounds rose and fell.
In the sky, cracks began to appear in the solid defenses built by willpower.
The turret trembled, the walls crumbled, and the monster howled.
The Green Lanterns were horrified to discover that the rings on their hands were flashing wildly, the light flickering as if it might go out at any moment.
An uncontrollable thought of "giving up resistance" welled up from the deepest part of their hearts.
This is an absolute crushing defeat on the level of will!
Just as the Green Lantern Corps' defenses were about to collapse, twelve blue beams of light flew out from the Guardians' Council in the distance and hovered in mid-air.
They are the guardians of the universe.
Twelve ancient beings, short in stature, with azure skin, and dressed in long white robes. Did you chant or not? Am I in the empty forest...?
Their appearance was like a shot in the arm for the Green Lanterns who were on the verge of collapse.
A gentle and ancient spiritual force spread out, temporarily offsetting some of the effects of Su Hui's oppressive aura.
For the first time, a solemn expression appeared on the wrinkled face of the leading guardian, Ganther.
He surveyed Su Hui below, and spoke in his ancient voice, devoid of any emotion yet capable of echoing throughout the universe:
"Outsider. Your existence is a desecration of the cosmic order. Withdraw your power immediately and leave Planet OA. This is your last chance."
Su Hui finally shifted his gaze from the energy battery to the twelve little blue men.
He laughed, his laughter filled with undisguised mockery.
"Order? Your order?"
He shook his head, as if looking at a group of frogs in a well.
"What you call order is nothing more than rules built on your narrow understanding. You play with a candle called 'will' and think you control the light."
He ignored the increasingly cold gazes of the guardians and strode straight toward the massive central energy cell.
"Today, I will show you what true...light is."
"presumptuous!"
Another guardian, Apa Ali Apsa, roared in anger. He was the most rigid and unyielding of the guardians.
Without another word, the twelve guardians raised their hands simultaneously.
A terrifying power, far surpassing any Green Lantern and even Parallax, converged between them.
That is the purest primordial power they have accumulated over billions of years as the oldest life forms in the universe.
A primordial light, a blend of emerald green and deep blue, a torrent of energy powerful enough to instantly obliterate a galaxy and shake the timeline, locked onto Su Hui and shot out with a roar!
This is the guardians' final judgment, the ultimate violence they use to maintain their rule!
