"……you guess……"
Perhaps because it had run out of magic, the slime's voice sounded weak and lacked its previous assertiveness.
I can't believe it. Let's go home. There's lava all around...
"..." The slime hesitated, probably because it hadn't expected me not to guess.
I asked as I walked.
what happened?
"…………hydrogen bomb."
ha?
"That magic is a miniature hydrogen bomb."
Wait, wait, wait...?! A small hydrogen bomb?! I was wondering why that formula looked so familiar! It turns out it's a hydrogen bomb?! But then again, how do you even know about hydrogen bombs?!
"Isn't this what you wrote in your book...?"
Do I have that kind of book?!
"Yes, I have……"
Maybe there really is one?!
Just how bizarre is this "Treasure Gathering" skill...? Does such a thing even exist? How come I didn't know about it? Come to think of it, I remember slimes don't know Earth's languages, right?
"...! The box! Behind it!"
……?! it hurts?!
What happened? Why did my HP drop?
I turned around at the slime's command, only to be met with a blood-red fist. Wait a minute! No?! Hold on—?!
With a muffled thud, the mimic took the blood-red fist head-on and was sent flying. In its dazed state, it accidentally let go of the slime, sending it flying away.
The slime happened to bump into the wall and stuck to it with all its might, just in time to see the mimic fall into the lava.
The viscous lava rippled for a moment and swallowed the mimics. When the slime looked angrily at where they had been, it was terrified.
Standing there was a naked man—oops, I mean, Peller. He was also at the epicenter of the explosion, so he couldn't possibly have survived, but why was this guy still alive?
Peller still holds Serreon in his hand. The guy is no longer human; his hand, which was blown off by the explosion, is bleeding and you can see the broken bones.
Half its head was gone, and brain matter was spilling onto its bald scalp. It wasn't even burned; this guy must be a monster!
"------!"
Peller, now a monster, roared with a completely piercing howl. The slime had no way to deal with him; it no longer had the magic to use the hydrogen bomb spell again.
At that moment, Peller discovered the slime stuck to the wall. He roared and charged at the slime, wildly swinging his sword, the blade stirring up lava and leaving no place to escape in the entire space.
Oh dear... I didn't know I had fire resistance? That scared me to death, I thought I was going to die.
A leisurely voice suddenly rang in the slime's mind. It turned out that the voice had not been interrupted, which meant that the mimic was still alive.
The mimic suddenly emerged from the lava, grabbed Peller who was rushing towards the slime with its pincers, and then forcefully pulled him back and slammed him heavily into the lava.
It's normal for the final boss to have multiple phases.
Wow, that scared me to death! I thought I was going to die.
I took a punch from Peller head-on, which not only cost me 30% of my HP but also knocked me into the lava. However, I was alright. I didn't expect I had fire resistance. No wonder I didn't die in that hydrogen bomb-level explosion.
I fell into the lava, and having learned from past mistakes, I didn't open my eyes immediately.
Was that stuff called lava before? Am I just particularly lucky with fire?
Ah, anyway, after I felt something moving in the lava, I jumped out, grabbed that thing, and slammed it into the lava. Humph, you should try a lava bath too.
The guy I smashed into the lava swung his sword backhand. Wow, that's not something a human could do!
However, part of the magma on my body has hardened, and the lava formed another shell on the surface that blocked the sword, and then it shattered.
Hmm, it feels like a disposable prop.
"Instead of thinking about that, why don't you hurry up and dodge the second attack?"
After being warned by the slime, I immediately dodged to the left, and then I got slashed.
Hmmmm, why did I get slashed this time? Because this guy wasn't even holding a sword; the sword was flying.
Wow, flying on a sword!
Peller, whom I slammed into the lava, got up. That thing couldn't even be called human anymore; it was a living zombie! It was charred to a crisp, my friend! Can't we bury it now and discuss everything?
"—!"
It growled at me, and I instinctively grabbed the pliers and smacked it on the head. Okay, its head's off, but it's still not dead.
Why is it so terrifying?!
The Demon Eye finally gave me the information at this moment.
"Peller, LV.■■■, HP/MP: 0/0, Race: Undead."
If you're out of health and mana, just die already, okay?! Why are you causing trouble for humanity?!
I immediately stepped back a few paces in the lava to get away from him, and then this guy stood up, grabbed his sword, and started berserk.
Weren't you fucking dead?!
"Throw your grenade!"
The slime was on the wall directing me to throw grenades, but I'd barely thrown one when Peller slashed me to pieces with his sword. Damn it! I know big bosses usually have several phases, but this is ridiculous!
This man, now reduced to charcoal, strode towards me. I felt I had nothing left to fight him.
Hand grenades are out of the question, so there are only five left. Other means are also exhausted... No... there are still... two more!
Slime! Come down and help me! You have fire resistance in your current form, right?
"...? Yes, I do, but what do you want to do with it?"
Let me lend a hand.
I spat out the silver cross at Peller. It was the exorcism silver I had picked up earlier, which I had originally planned to keep, but I didn't expect to use it at this moment.
Exorcism, as the name suggests, is what it's used for.
Of course, it's incredibly effective against this kind of guy.
The exorcising silver reacted to Peller, who was a dead man, emitting a strong silver light. Peller tried to shield himself from the light, but it was of little use, and he was burned all over by the light.
The eerie red sword, realizing something was amiss, immediately shattered the exorcising silver into fragments. The fragments fell into the lava, rendering them ineffective against Peller. Well, at least they served their purpose.
So, is the final boss actually that sword?
Then I'll just chop you up right now!
"Do you really know swordsmanship?"
No~
"Wind Step."
Well, let's just cut it down first!
After throwing out a cross, the mimic ran towards the slime. The cross affected Peller, but Serion dealt with it himself.
Then the mimic suddenly charged over with a sword, another weapon that could have a miraculous effect on the dead, 'Priest Yi'.
The slime stuck to its pincers and shaped into a hand, then held the sword for the mimic. The mimic suddenly charged across the lava at an unprecedented speed and then chopped off Peller's leg with a single strike.
Peller, however, completely disregarded this and actually grabbed Serion, slashing directly at the mimic. Losing his balance, he used the force of the fall to smash his way into the mimic's shell.
The mimic hurriedly parried Serion's sword, but how could a novice like it, who was using a sword for the first time, possibly defeat a master like Peller?
Peller used Serion to cut the sword in the mimic's hand, rolled over, and kicked the mimic away with his remaining foot. The mimic, unable to escape in mid-air, was then enraged. Peller went berserk and, with Serion, slashed wildly, cutting off all of the mimic's limbs.
The slime and the slashed pincers flew to the other side. They had underestimated the monster's fighting power; the sword made by the Dragon King was not just sharp.
Ugh! ?
I thought this guy wasn't as strong as before, but then he went berserk and beat me down to almost nothing. Damn it...
Bleeding... I might not live much longer...
My hands and feet have been chopped off, I can't run away, and I can't fight back... I'm completely helpless...
The slime probably flew away with my pliers. I really hope it's okay.
Peller crawled through the lava, his hands and feet severed, his head gone; he looked horrific.
He used his remaining intact hand to prop himself up with the sword, then looked me over, probably mocking me if he still had a head.
I was extremely annoyed... but I had no strength left to resist.
He kicked me away with his foot, which looked relatively intact. Of course, that little bit of force wouldn't have much effect on me, but then he plunged the sword into the hole in my shell. It only went in a little bit, but the pain was so intense that I almost fainted.
Then he pushed the sword in a little deeper, his whole body trembling, looking like he was laughing so hard he was shaking.
Ah... damn it... can't I feel any pain anymore...?
As my vision gradually darkened, I saw my nearly empty HP bar; it was as if I were witnessing a cruel, ironic game.
The word "over" appears.
Alright, I'm not the main character, so it's only natural that I'd die... The real protagonist is the hero, right...?
My body stopped feeling hot and instead felt unusually cold. As my consciousness faded, I saw a white light shine on me, and then the world sped up...
Slow down!
The dragon's unique fiery spirit echoed throughout the maze. Nao heard it, as did Zhou Dong and Xiao, but Xiao probably didn't know what it was.
"Is that Lady Reilfa...?" Zhou Dong looked up at the ceiling.
"Yes, it's her." Nao nodded. "Something must have happened..."
"Emm," Xiao asked, "what is Rielfa?"
"Laelfa, she's another older sister." Nao patted her head. "She's the Dragon King."
"Go away!"
Rielfa used her Word of Power to slow down the Mimic's time, then temporarily transformed her right hand into a dragon and punched Peller, turning him into a lump of coal.
The hostless Serion floated in mid-air, its sword pointed at Rielfa, presumably intending to do something. But Rielfa paid no heed, unleashing a white magical circle at it.
"You'd better calm down first." Rielfa's eyes flickered. "The one you're facing, while not as strong as your forger, is still a Dragon King."
White chains extended from the magic circle, attempting to imprison Serion. Serion resisted desperately, but unexpectedly, more and more chains appeared, trapping him.
A giant hand reached out from within the magic circle, grabbed Serion, and dragged him inside. After Serion entered the magic circle, it began to tremble violently before finally contracting and disappearing.
Serion fell from mid-air, returning to its original form. Accompanying its fall was an endless rain of blood, which evaporated upon landing on the lava, filling the surroundings with a bloody, rusty smell.
"He killed so many people...this scumbag."
Rielfa walked through the rain of blood, but the blood seemed to be twisted and avoided her. Her white clothes were not stained with a single drop of blood. Then, she bent down and picked up Serion.
Goodbye, failure.
His right hand, now transformed into a dragon again, crushed Serion, leaving nothing behind. This twisted, failed creation would never appear in this world again.
"So... what should we do with all this..." Rielfa rubbed her temples, looking troubled.
The ceiling of the maze has been blown open, and the area no longer resembles a maze. It has been drenched in blood rain, and the necromancy monsters in this area will likely become more active.
The two culprits, one was already on the verge of death, and the other had passed out.
end
The night sky, the same double-moon sky as the human territory, and the bustling city remains as vibrant as ever.
All sorts of people were in the market—no, they couldn't really be called people, but the Demon King considered them people, even if they were demons.
The demon race, a race that invaded humanity tens of millions of years ago, were originally monsters, but later gained intelligence and became demon humans.
From among them a Demon King was born, who led the demons in rebellion against the humans who had once oppressed them as monsters. Well, that's just an excuse; the Demon King was simply someone who wanted to rule the world… uh… um…
Big pervert.
Ah, it's more accurate to say this guy is a complete lecher... He wants to conquer the world and possess all the women in it... What an idiotic reason...
