Chapter 83 Catching the Traitor!
Chapter 83 Catching the Traitor!
The voice was languid, slightly magnetic, and had an indescribable allure.
Qi Tongwei turned around.
Ye Cunxin stood behind him, holding a cup of steaming hot hand-drip coffee.
She was clearly dressed up for the evening.
He was so casual in the office just now, but now he's changed into an outfit that would make every male in the entire command center forget to breathe.
She wore a black, tight-fitting, bodycon mini dress. The fabric of the dress clung to her body so tightly that it felt like a second skin, hugging her stunning figure. The neckline was plunging, a daring deep V-neck design that revealed a large expanse of her fair, smooth, alabaster-like skin, along with her deep cleavage, which rose and fell slightly with her breath, making it impossible to look away.
Her waist was so slender it seemed one could encircle it with a single hand, and below it, her hips widened abruptly, creating a perfect S-shape. The skirt was very short, barely covering the top of her thighs.
The most dangerous thing is those legs.
Long, straight, and without an ounce of excess fat. She wore extremely thin black stockings, revealing glimpses of her fleshy skin beneath, the allure of the partially concealed look was off the charts. On her feet were ten-centimeter-high red-soled heels, the sharp toes seeming to pierce one's heart.
Her long, purple-streaked hair was styled into large waves and casually draped over her shoulders. Her face was adorned with exquisite makeup, her lips painted a fiery red, and a half-smile played at the corners of her mouth.
The young police officers in the entire hall were dumbfounded. Their Adam's apples bobbed, they swallowed hard, and then they quickly lowered their heads, pretending to stare at the screen, but actually glancing in this direction out of the corner of their eyes.
"Why are you here?" Qi Tongwei's voice was hoarse, but his tone had softened considerably.
He reached out and tugged at the jacket on his shoulder; it was one of his spare police jackets, but the girl put it on with unbelievably gentle movements.
"If I don't come, who cares if you live or die?" Ye Cunxin rolled her eyes and held the coffee to his lips. "Take a sip. I specially ground it for you and added double the sugar because I know it tastes bitter."
Qi Tongwei didn't stand on ceremony and took a sip from her hand. It was very sweet, almost cloyingly sweet, but it just calmed his anger.
Ye Cunxin put down her cup, and her fingers, painted with black nail polish, gently reached out and touched Qi Tongwei's furrowed brow.
Her fingertips were slightly cool, with a delicate touch, as she gently massaged them.
"Don't frown, you're almost an old man." Ye Cunxin leaned closer, her breath sweet as orchids. "It's just a small fish that got away, it's no big deal."
Qi Tongwei smelled her pleasant scent and looked at her stunningly beautiful face so close to his own, and the tension in his heart eased slightly. He took Ye Cunxin's restless little hand in his own and held it firmly in his palm.
"This fish is no small fry." Qi Tongwei's eyes sharpened again as he looked at Liu Qing's grayed-out image on the big screen. "He carries Zhao Lichun's last talisman. If we don't bring this guy back, that old fox Zhao Lichun will have the power to turn the tables."
"Zhao Donglai!" Qi Tongwei suddenly shouted.
"Here!" Zhao Donglai quickly ran over, keeping his eyes straight ahead and not daring to look at Ye Cunxin even once, for fear of making a mistake if he looked at her too much.
"Investigate all of Liu Qing's social connections, especially his overseas connections," Qi Tongwei said coldly. "Also, investigate internally. If he could escape from this tight net, there must be spies within our ranks that we haven't yet uncovered."
"I caught this fish myself."
Just then, Qi Tongwei's personal cell phone, which was on the table, suddenly vibrated.
It wasn't a regular text message notification tone, but a special encrypted frequency vibration.
Qi Tongwei's heart skipped a beat.
He picked up his phone and unlocked it.
The screen displays a multimedia message from an unknown number.
There are no words, only a photograph.
The background of the photo is a dark sea with surging waves.
A man is sitting in the driver's seat of a speedboat, holding a glass of champagne, and giving the camera an extremely eerie and provocative smile.
That face belonged to Liu Qing, who had been missing for less than half an hour.
On the back seat of the speedboat was a silver metal briefcase with a prominent label—it was the key to a Swiss bank's highest-level safe deposit box.
Qi Tongwei stared at the photo, his eyes narrowing into slits.
"interesting."
He handed his phone to Ye Cunxin next to him, and a cruel smile slowly crept onto his lips.
"This isn't running away, it's clearly a challenge to me!"
Ye Cunxin glanced at the photo, snorted coldly, and a hint of disdain flashed in her peach blossom eyes: "Dare to challenge my man? This guy has a death wish!"
"Donglai, prepare the car." Qi Tongwei put his phone back in his pocket, picked up his police cap and put it on, instantly switching from the gentle mode he had just been in back to the ruthless "lone wolf".
"Where to?" Zhao Donglai was taken aback.
"port."
Qi Tongwei straightened his collar and strode out.
"Since he wants to play, I'll go with him to the high seas and play for big stakes."
