Time travel game, starting from Kingdom Come: Deliverance
Author: Sticking to Rules
Summary:
Bad news: I've been transported to the Middle Ages.
Good news: We can also open the door back to the modern era.
Even better news: the door can also lead to multiple worlds.
……
President of a Hanfu (traditional Han clothing) club, a Bohemian warlord, a disciple of Zhang Sanfeng, and the underground emperor of Chicago...
As Mo Jiang's ability to travel through time begins to extend to more and more worlds, an empire spanning the multiverse is being born.
Volume One
1. The former president left behind thirteen suits of armor and then returned to Jianzhou to take the civil service exam.
Police station, interrogation room.
Two police officers sat at the table, one of them speaking without looking up:
"Name."
"Mojiang".
"age."
"20."
"gender."
"male."
"What did you do to get in here?"
"The order maintenance personnel brought us here to stop a widespread and extremely impactful resistance movement that could arise from cultural incompatibility."
The officer taking notes looked up and glared at Mo Jiang, but what he saw was not the kind of clothing that young men usually wear.
A young man who was 1.9 meters tall and wearing armor.
That was a set of infantry armor, the most advanced heavy infantry equipment in the Song Dynasty, made of refined iron plates and tough leather.
The breastplate and backplate act like steel-forged breastplates, firmly protecting the heart, a fatal weakness.
The shoulder and elbow guards are secured with rivets, ensuring both flexibility and protection against sudden attacks from sharp blades on the sides.
The shin guards for the knees and thighs were forged from wrought iron, which reduced the risk of the lower limbs being pierced by arrows.
In particular, this suit of armor uses modern materials, with the outer plates cut from 3mm high-carbon steel plates, resulting in a significant increase in both weight and protective power.
Mo Jiang was not wearing a helmet or carrying any weapons, so it was impossible for anyone to bring weapons into the interrogation room.
Even so, his height combined with the armor still gave him a tremendous sense of intimidation.
What stood before me was less a person and more a steel monster.
With that outfit, even a handgun in the police station would have a hard time penetrating it.
At least the Type 77 rifle could not penetrate it.
The reason for standing is simple: with his weight plus Mo Jiang's own weight, the police station chair probably couldn't support him.
Perhaps it was dissatisfaction with Mo Jiang's attitude—which, despite his young age, seemed like that of a seasoned veteran—or perhaps he wanted to regain the face he had when he was startled by the armor.
Just as the young officer was about to reprimand him, the older-looking officer tapped his finger on the table. "A group fight, no, it's more like a disorderly conduct. Luckily, nothing serious happened; at least the weapons were all plastic."
Since they are all made of plastic, they don't count as weapons, and surrounding others only constitutes disturbing the peace.
As for the real deal...
Long before I took over the Hanfu club, I had already put it in my own warehouse.
It's all the former president's fault. It's one thing to make armor, but he also liked to make fully armed characters.
Mo Jiang smiled but didn't argue. After all, with fifty people, twenty of whom were wearing armor, surrounding someone else was, at the very least, a case of provoking trouble.
It wasn't that I didn't want to take action, it's just that the police arrived too quickly and I didn't have time to do so.
The veteran officer placed his hands on the table, leaned back in his chair, and softened his tone considerably. "A college student? Where did you get this outfit?"
"A sophomore at a university of science and technology, majoring in economics and management. I am the president of the Hanfu Club, and the previous president left behind thirteen suits of armor."
"This former president was quite wealthy. Where did he go? Did he have any purchase receipts?"
The tone was still interrogative, but Mo Jiang didn't mind. After all, they were already in the interrogation room, and if their attitude wasn't good, they'd be in the interrogation room too.
"After graduation, I went back to Jianzhou... oops, I mean back to Changbai Mountain to take the civil service exam. I forgot the exact location, but I remember it was in the Changbai Mountain area. I have all the purchase invoices. Most of them were assembled by ourselves after buying the parts, and there is also relevant purchase information."
"Why are people being surrounded?"
Mo Jiang shrugged. "During the club activity rehearsal, those idiots started swearing at the girls in the club. To stop them from continuing to insult the girls, we separated them from the girls and demanded that they stop insulting them immediately."
“We also filmed the whole process, without lifting a finger.”
The answer was very sound and there was nothing wrong with it.
There is no malicious intent behind this statement, whether viewed from a subjective or objective perspective.
As for the dozens of people from the Hanfu club gathering together, that was a club activity that had been applied for and recorded with the school long ago, and the gathering of dozens of people was not a disturbance in the subjective sense.
Of course, if the police had arrived any later, the members of the Hanfu club would have had to suppress them to prevent the other party from attacking the female members due to emotional agitation.
The presence of so many club members present would attest to the other party's agitated state and aggressive actions.
Because of the angle and distance, it's impossible to truly see whether the other party has any aggressive intentions when recording with a mobile phone.
During the process of [suppression], some minor abrasions and sprains may be caused [accidentally].
This was Mojiang's initial idea.
Unfortunately, just as they separated the people and the cameraman started recording on his phone, the police arrived.
What Mo Jiang didn't know was that the police arrived so quickly not because they had surrounded the people.
Instead, there were fifty men gathered together, half of whom were wearing armor and carrying weapons. Although an inspection later revealed that the weapons were just plastic replicas, the sheer number of people gathered together was enough to warrant a police response.
……
Mo Jiang left the police station quickly; it was the principal who came to bail him out.
Since no uncontrollable consequences occurred, and the principal did not want his school to lose such a big reputation, he stepped in and changed the possible punishment to a demerit, two weeks of reflection at home, and a school-wide notice.
The principal's hands trembled like someone in the late stages of Parkinson's disease when he lifted someone up.
Who knows how a top student from the Department of Economics and Management managed to unlock the full armor combat skill tree, achieving the "Twenty Sets of True Armor Warriors Campus Parade" achievement, without even getting a special episode on "Today's Talk," all thanks to the last bit of stubbornness from plastic weapons.
"Either disband the club, or you step down voluntarily. No more armor in the club." The principal's words, squeezed out through clenched teeth, were like a gangster boss's threat. "If I see even half a piece of armor again, I'll stuff you all into the Terracotta Army as figurines!"
The headmaster was genuinely terrified; a perfectly normal day had almost turned into a full-on live-action combat showdown at his school.
If this really happens, his political future will be over.
"Sigh, the position of club president was lost in less than a semester."
"The principal is a coward too. In his previous speech, he even boasted that the school's predecessor was a weapons engineering branch and manufacturing plant of a certain legion."
Mo Jiang placed the armor that the students had removed in the rented Wuling Zhengcheng van. Only after removing the back seats of this van could there be enough space to accommodate the twenty suits of armor.
Ordinary electric tricycles won't work, and cars certainly won't.
These twenty suits of armor are all genuine, and no two are exactly alike.
There are a total of twenty sets of armor from different dynasties and different military branches, including Qin, Han, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing.
Thirteen sets were left over from previous presidents, five sets were purchased and left by several wealthy seniors who had graduated, and the remaining two sets were created by the former president and Mo Jiang after a year of hard work.
One of them was the armor worn by Mo Jiang.
One of the most defensive armors in East Asia during the era of cold weapons.
It was also the former president's last hurrah before graduation.
The previous president intended to use these armors to create a living thing, but unfortunately, before graduation, the president's position was taken by Sue.
Because the club president at the time declared that whoever could defeat their team in full-armor combat would not only relinquish their position as president, but also give up all the armor they had left behind.
Including the club president, there were a total of seventeen people, all of whom were armored and skilled men proficient in both long and short weapons.
Mo Jiang spent a lot of effort to defeat the former president's team.
Well, that's right.
In full-armor combat, Mo Jiang single-handedly annihilated the former president's coordinated team of seventeen people.
Then he took over the position of president of the Hanfu Club.
As for the former president...
Ever since he lost to Mo Jiang, he's been in a daze, constantly muttering about the Seven Great Hatreds, and someone else even collected his graduation certificate on his behalf.
Later I heard that he went to the Changbai Mountain area to take the civil service exam.
It seems like he's never playing full armor combat again.
"President," a club member leaned closer and asked in a low voice, "Are you really leaving?"
Mo Jiang replied irritably, "Otherwise what? Are we waiting for the principal to tell us, 'Club funds will be distributed on the playground tomorrow, no need to wear armor'?"
"How about we try to storm the administration building tonight, all dressed in armor and with our mouths clenched?"
"Fuck off!"
The club members laughed and dodged Mo Jiang's kick, while looking at him as if he were a monster.
Because Mo Jiang was still wearing that infantry armor, which weighed over fifty pounds, most people would not be able to stand wearing it for more than ten minutes, but this guy wore it for almost a day without showing any signs of being unable to stand it.
Even for those who exercise regularly, wearing it for one or two hours without strenuous activity is about right.
With that kind of stamina, plus that full suit of armor, it's no wonder that people's first impression of him is that of a steel monster.
Moreover, his feat of taking on seventeen opponents in full armor combat has made Mo Jiang the undisputed leader in the Hanfu community.
"Alright, I'll keep the armor for now. Once you've established the new Hanfu club, come to me for it and I'll return it to you."
"Also, I don't know what punishment those idiots will receive. We didn't go too far, so they might not be afraid of this at all. The club's off-campus activities for the next two weeks are suspended. For on-campus activities, ten male members from the club will be armed and escort female members."
Mo Jiang knew very well that there would always be idiots who did disgusting things, but these things didn't break the law, and not being able to punish them would only embolden them.
With the Hanfu Club's disciplinary action now in effect, those guys might not just be accused of having foul mouths when they encounter the girls from the Hanfu Club again.
"By the way, they were also made to wear rattan armor during the escort."
The Hanfu club has twenty sets of real armor, and also has some relatively inexpensive alternatives within the club.
For example, rattan armor, or the costumes of the Yellow Turban Army and Red Turban Army, which are relatively minor roles.
No one can say that the Yellow Turban Army's attire doesn't count as Hanfu.
Most of the weapons in the club are made of plastic; the real ones have already been moved to his home warehouse, otherwise the principal's blood pressure would have risen even higher.
But ten burly men wielding weapons and wearing rattan armor, even if they were just plastic toys, were intimidating enough to hold him off until he went home to reflect on his actions.
"After this incident, although I took the punishment, the principal probably won't let the Hanfu club keep too many people. He told others that if they are expelled from the club, they can temporarily join the COS club to take their place."
"I know the president of the cosplay club, I'll say hello."
The principal gave a strict order: the Hanfu Club was not allowed to produce armor. Naturally, the armor within the club could not be kept. Among so many club members, only Mo Jiang was a local and had enough space at home to store these things.
Today, the students from the Hanfu club were all dressed in armor and surrounding people. Mo Jiang guessed that the principal wouldn't allow the Hanfu club to continue having so many tall, strong men who could wear armor.
Able to wear armor and move around, and able to follow orders to surround people, this is not a gang at all; it is the prototype of a violent armed group.
Otherwise, he might actually hear news one day that an unrestricted fighting tournament has broken out at the school, or that the administration building has been stormed.
As for whether the men who were kicked out of the Hanfu club can form a new Hanfu club, that depends on luck.
"COS club... club president, they have a grudge against us. Have you forgotten the former president's seven grudges?"
Mo Jiang rolled his eyes and replied irritably, "The seven great hatreds of that guy, his last hatred is me, and you all take my orders, don't you?"
The former president had seven major grudges: first, that the Taobao seller sent the wrong nail plate size; fourth, that the COS club snatched the club's recruitment; and seventh, that Mo Jiang bastard stole my position as president.
