Chapter 601 Alliance of All Realms
Chapter 601 Alliance of All Realms
The fusion of the two wizarding civilizations is progressing quite smoothly.
The dueling arena was running from morning till night, and the light of the contract was almost never interrupted.
Wizards from the parallel world, along with their families, moved off the wrecked warships and into temporary settlements set up by the four major powers. They received new robes, ate hot meals, and some even began receiving basic education.
The wizard civilization gained a group of counterparts, while the wizards in the parallel world gained more knowledge and resources, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
But not everyone is happy to see all of this.
Outside the dueling arena, in a secret chamber within the chaotic war machine composed of fragments of another plane, a dozen figures silently gathered. They wore tattered robes common to wizards from parallel worlds, their faces withered, their bodies deformed, indistinguishable from their brethren who were queuing to form contracts.
But their eyes were different.
Those queuing up had anticipation, relief, and even heartfelt admiration in their eyes.
These people didn't see any of that; all they saw was suppressed anger and a kind of almost insane resolve.
The leading wizard was almost unrecognizable as human.
His lower body had completely fused with some kind of crystalline inorganic structure, while his upper body barely maintained the outline of a human, but there were foreign objects constantly wriggling under his skin.
His name is Wald, a member of the Supreme Council of the parallel world, and an eighth-level wizard.
On those wrecked warships, his orders determined the life or death of hundreds of millions of lives.
Now, he can't even control his own destiny.
"Everyone's here." His voice was hoarse, like rusty iron scraping against each other.
The figures around them nodded silently.
Wald's gaze swept over the people present, all of whom were members of the Supreme Council, the rulers who had once stood at the pinnacle of this wizarding civilization.
Each of them has ruled a plane, commanded legions, and struggled on battlefields of blood and fire for thousands of years.
Now they lurk in the shadows like rats, waiting to be paired up one by one to become a peer's "research assistant." "We've shed our blood for this civilization," Wald's voice lowered further. "We survived seven world-ending wars, defended our last refuge, and salvaged knowledge bit by bit from the ruins. Now they come, dressed in finery, spouting righteousness and morality, demanding we sign contracts, become assistants, and be grateful."
He paused, a glint of malice flashing in his eye, which still retained its human form: "Why should I?"
No one answered.
It's not because they disagree, but because they all know the answer: by force.
The opposing side had a delegation of four hundred peak level eight warriors, hundreds of thousands of level eight wizards behind them, four war machines they had never seen before, and a civilization they could never reach...
Silence spread in the shadows.
Wald looked away: "So I chose another path."
He raised his hand, and a dark red crystal appeared in his palm.
Inside the crystal, a distorted light was slowly pulsating, like a living heart.
The surrounding councilors' expressions changed when they saw the crystal.
Some people instinctively stepped back, some gripped their staffs tightly, and others' breathing became noticeably rapid.
"The spatial coordinates of the Multiverse Alliance," Vald said. "I extracted them from the mental sea of a high-ranking member of the Alliance during the last war. Those natives have always wanted the coordinates of our core plane. Now, I can give them to them."
Silent for a long time.
A female councilor spoke first, her voice trembling slightly: "Do you know what kind of treatment they receive over there? If the wizarding civilization is destroyed, we won't fare any better."
"At least you don't have to sign that damn contract, or do you really think your physical abilities are good enough to make you a nice guy?" Wald sneered coldly.
The people present fell silent again.
They gathered together not only because power was about to be taken away, but also because they were aware of their own limitations.
Everyone knew perfectly well how wicked they were, so naturally, they wouldn't believe that their classmates were any good people! Then, one after another, they nodded.
Seeing this, Wald did not hesitate.
He crushed the crystal, and a dark red light exploded, transforming into countless intricate runes that wove together to form a rotating portal before him. On the other side of the portal lay a thick, almost solidified darkness, and within that darkness, countless pairs of eyes were opening.
"Walk."
Wald stepped through the portal first, followed by the councilors who filed in one after another.
The territory of the Alliance of Myriad Realms has no boundaries.
This colossal entity, composed of countless indigenous civilizations, devoured plane after plane in the endless chaotic void.
Each one devoured adds another member, another army, and another source of power.
Under the leadership of this level nine being, the number of level eight beings in the Multiverse Alliance is astounding.
The council hall floated above a completely drained dimensional wreckage.
Every inch of this space is permeated with an almost tangible malice.
Hundreds of figures, each with a different posture, sat around the long table.
There were orcs covered in scales, luminous beings made of pure energy, soft-bodied creatures with countless tentacles on their lower bodies, and some beings that looked almost indistinguishable from humans.
They are the core of the Alliance of All Realms, the ultimate beneficiaries who have devoured countless civilizations. At this moment, they are all watching the newly appeared projection at the end of the long table.
Vald's figure was somewhat blurry, but the madness and determination in his eyes pierced through the distant void, projecting clearly before everyone. "You said you brought intelligence about another wizarding civilization?" the orc leader spoke, his voice like sandpaper rubbing metal. "I didn't expect you to be so determined, actually planning to sever ties with that civilization..."
"No," Wald's voice was hoarse, "the other one I'm talking about is a genuine, other wizarding civilization. A more powerful, richer, and more complete wizarding civilization."
The atmosphere around the long table changed instantly.
Those figures who were originally lazy and indifferent suddenly sat up straight.
The brightness of the luminescent object suddenly increased by a level, and the tentacles of the soft-bodied creature began to wriggle restlessly.
Without wasting words, Vald laid out the intelligence on the four major powers one by one, presenting all the information he had gathered to the other party. "Are you telling us all this to discourage us?" The orc chieftain's voice carried a hint of sarcasm.
"No." Wald's gaze swept over every figure at the long table. "I'm here to tell you that they're busy assimilating my civilization, and all their attention is focused on the dueling arena. Their defenses are now riddled with holes."
Upon hearing this, a commotion arose at the conference table, and the figures around the long table began to communicate in their own ways.
A few breaths later, the leader stood up: "Interesting, very worthwhile to conquer..."
He looked up across the entire council hall: "Assemble the army! We are about to embark on a new expedition!"
"oh!!!"
Before long, the army of the Multiverse Alliance was assembled at an astonishing speed.
The leader stood on the stage to give a speech, while countless soldiers stood silently in place, waiting for their oath before setting off.
"They call themselves the Wizard Civilization. They plunder planes, enslave living beings, tamper with the rules, and twist the order of the entire void into whatever shape they desire." The leader paused. "Now, they have found new prey."
"But we will not let them succeed." The leader's gaze swept over the assembling army. "The purpose of the Alliance of All Realms is to fight against this tyranny. Every oppressed civilization has the right to survive, and every polluted void has the right to be restored to its purity. Today, we are not fighting just for ourselves..."
His voice suddenly rose, echoing throughout the entire fleet: "We fight for justice in the entire endless chaotic void!" Cheers surged forth like a tidal wave.
Those twisted, bizarre, and peculiar figures simultaneously raised their weapons and let out the war cries unique to their respective races.
A hundred billion voices converged, causing the drained remnants of the plane to tremble violently.
Wald stood in the projection, watching all of this, a hint of mockery flashing in his eyes.
justice?
He knew better than anyone that so-called "justice" was nothing more than an excuse for devouring.
The Alliance of All Realms, upon arriving in a new plane, drains everything there—resources, energy, life, souls—leaving nothing behind.
None of the civilizations they "liberated" survived.
But he doesn't care.
As long as I can get rid of my own counterparts, that's fine!
