Chapter 11 Doll
Chapter 11 Doll
The interview with Ms. Officer Jenny has ended.
Zeshu walked out of the police station with a yawning Ice Eevee in his hand, and wandered aimlessly through the streets of Masago Town, tossing and catching the ID card he had just obtained.
I couldn't help but feel a little emotional.
After more than five years in the Pokémon world, I finally obtained a legal status. This means I can now enter Pokémon Centers, use Pokémon Devices located in various locations, and normally purchase Poké Balls and other items from Friendly Reminder Shops…
Were there any other time travelers slower than him?
but.
At least he escaped from that masked base.
Ze Shu watched the residents strolling leisurely through the streets of Zhensha Town. Everyone's pace of life was mostly slow. As he walked, smelling the refreshing scent of the sea breeze, he felt as if he had become one of them.
This is the town of Masatake.
It's not just a few houses and buildings like in a game; it's a real town. There are quite a few residents and a variety of shops.
Arriving at a shop with a sign that read "Star Doll Shop," Zeki led Eevee inside.
"Excuse me, do you have any Eevee plushies?" he asked.
"Eevee~?" Glaceon looked up in confusion.
"Didn't you lose the Eevee plushie you brought with you back then...?" Ze Shu said with a smile to the Glaceon in his arms, "Even though it's hard to find, at least let me get you another one, okay?"
At the time, inside the Masked Base, Glaceon, not wanting to delay Zeki's escape plan, only took the patched-up Eevee doll from a pile of their accumulated belongings.
The Eevee doll was obtained by Zeki from Liu Bo, to train Glaceon's Substitute moves before it evolved.
This gave Eevee its first toy, which it cherished greatly. Even when it accidentally tore it and the cotton filling spilled out, Eevee would pester Zeju to mend it. Unfortunately, Zeju's hands were trembling due to his excessive training, so in the end, it was Little Blue who helped fix it.
However, not long after they arrived in Sinnoh, their Eevee plushie was lost along with them as they traveled across the ocean.
At the time, Zeki was unconscious, and Glaceon was so worried about him that it didn't pay much attention to the doll. Later, when Zeki was almost recovered, Glaceon kept the matter to itself and didn't tell him.
Ze Shu only realized this last night.
Not long after.
A simply dressed but charming female shopkeeper brought out a brand new Eevee plush toy: "A special price of 800 League Coins."
She then glanced at the Glaceon being held in Ze Shu's arms and said with a smile, "What an adorable Glaceon! We also have all sorts of Eevee plushies here, including a Glaceon plushie, for only 1000 League Coins. Would you like another one, sir?"
Ze Shu: "..."
So expensive!
Why is it so much more expensive than Poké Balls and healing items!
He only had a little over 1,700 League Coins that he had found on the Pokémon Hunter yesterday, not even enough to buy two plush toys...
Zeshu could only slowly shake his head, only wanting the basic form of the Eevee doll.
Even when you go out into the world, you still need to make money.
Otherwise, he might not only be unable to afford Eevee plushies, but he might not even be able to afford the most basic nutrition for his Ice Eevee...
If I ever have money in the future, I'll at least buy all nine of Eevee's dolls, including the original form!
but.
Even though I was short of money and couldn't buy the Ice Eevee plushie.
When Zeshu handed the ordinary Eevee plushie to Glaceon, it didn't seem reluctant at all; instead, it looked quite satisfied, its eyes even squinting happily: (ᕑᗢᓫ∗)˒
Ice Eevee is very happy.
Snuggled in Sawaki's arms with the brown Eevee plushie, it felt like being in Sawaki's arms with her as a child.
"Eee~!" Ice Eevee called out sweetly.
"Sawaki is the best~!"
……
at this time.
Masa Town Police Station, Detention Room.
"Is this truly the case?"
Officer Jenny, holding the transcript provided by Zeki, sought clarification from the two arrested Pokémon hunters regarding the points she didn't understand.
She thought there was some exaggeration in it, but to her surprise, she received two Pokémon hunters nodding in fear.
"Yes, yes... Miss Officer Jenny, you don't know, that child really did grab the monster's tail and throw it at us..."
"My face still hurts..." The tall, thin Pokémon hunter struggled to move the red, swollen area on his face, along with the slowly scabbing Arbok teeth marks, feeling the pulling pain between them. He couldn't help but wail, "That kid is a monster!"
Then, gritting his teeth, he said resentfully, "I suggest Miss Officer Jenny investigate that child thoroughly. How could there be...?"
Miss Officer Jenny frowned, about to stop him from speaking.
Snapped--
The door to the detention cell was opened.
A man dressed in black walked in: "I think I heard something interesting..."
"Who are you?" Officer Jenny asked, puzzled.
"Special Investigator, Xiong Zheng. The Alliance sent him to handle this matter," the man said, showing a medal to Officer Jenny with considerable seriousness, and casually added, "May I hear about this agile 'kid' you've been talking about?"
After confirming the information, Miss Officer Jenny paused for a moment upon hearing the man's words, and said, "I can only be informed of what happened."
Xiong Zheng put away the badge and said:
"I'm quite interested in him... Just from your description outside the door, he seems agile, so he must be a strong Pokémon user. He knows how to ambush you, so he must be quick-witted, have a strong sense of justice, and love Pokémon."
He couldn't help but scratch his head. "He's a natural-born investigator! After all, it's been a long time since any new investigators joined our ranks... and our performance has been overshadowed by the international police department next door..."
Officer Jenny frowned and said angrily, "Ze Shu is still just a child!"
……
Zeshu wandered around Masago Town for a long time. The more he wandered, the more he realized that one thing was indispensable—money.
Otherwise, we wouldn't even have a place to stay tonight.
then.
He saw the bug-catching boy on the wild road in Zhensha Town, challenging anyone he saw, and went up to him.
As expected, their eyes met.
The insect-catching boy, clutching his net and wearing a straw hat, challenged him, sending out his two generals, the Stinging-tailed Insect and the Round Mage.
Then...
"The stinging worm! Master Yuan!" The bug-catching boy's voice was filled with grief.
He witnessed his own Wurmple and Evolve transform into insect ice sculptures under the gentle freezing winds of Glaceon, their facial expressions incredibly lifelike.
No, they're alive!
"I give up, I give up, you win!"
Bug Catcher cried and quickly put his two best Pokémon into Poké Balls, then tried to run to the Pokémon Center.
But I never expected it.
Suddenly, an open palm appeared before his eyes. Looking up, he saw Ze Shu's smiling face, and the bug-catching boy cried out in terror, "W-what do you want to do...?"
Ze Shu replied matter-of-factly, "According to the rules, shouldn't you leave some defeat money after losing the battle?"
The bug-catching boy froze for a moment, then panicked, tears welling in his eyes: "What kind of rule is this! I... I don't have much money..."
