Chapter 111: The Story of Tingen Ends
Huff... huff... huff Klein was breathing heavily, clearly not needing to breathe, but feeling more relaxed this way.
He stared blankly at the ancient palace before him.
What exactly is that ancient palace?
A dream world?
If it's a dream, how many layers does that dream have?
Why did the captain and others who sacrificed themselves not die, but I died in a dream?
That's a deep dream; does dying there really mean dying?
Who is that mysterious person?
What did he achieve by using Ince Zangwell?
What does "Be careful of the audience" mean?
Klein had many questions in his mind.
He initially thought this was a retaliatory action by Lanius against the city of Tingen, but it turned out to involve former Archbishop Ince Zangwell and the sealed artifact 0-08.
Later, when he thought this was just a conspiracy orchestrated by Ince Zangwill to advance to demigod status, Ince...
Zangwell died, but the quill pen, the sealed artifact 0-08, actually came back to life?
This bizarre situation even reminded Klein of the "resurrected" hermit sage.
The other party was even able to influence his dreams in reverse.
"This is clearly a complete conspiracy!"
"The function of the sealed artifacts 0-08 is very likely related to manipulation."
"Ince Zangwell may have been influenced by that quill pen."
"The quill pen, through manipulating Ince, escaped the church's seal. Ince then used the church's power to try to seize the sealed object behind the Chanis Gate. But everyone unknowingly fell into a pre-woven dream world."
"Initially, it wasn't Megos who came to Blackthorn Security Company; I mistook her for Megos. It was my subconscious that drove the development of the dream."
Klein took a deep breath, still feeling a bit scared when he thought about it.
Only after arriving above the gray fog did he notice certain details: the dream was incomplete to begin with, and the story of eliminating the evil god's offspring was something that the Night Watchers had collectively imagined.
"That's why the captain and the others who were supposed to die at the hands of the evil god's offspring didn't actually die."
"This is just a dream that isn't real enough."
"The reason it's a dream world instead of reality is perhaps to cover up some trace and avoid attracting the attention of the Church of the True God."
"The reason why Ince and I fell into that mysterious palace may be related to the two Sunfire Talismans. The properties of the talismans disrupted the stability of the dream, or it may be related to Ince Zangwell."
"We've discovered part of the hidden truth about the dream world, so when I die in the dream world, I'm truly dead," Ince said.
Zangwell was also dealt with.
Klein had roughly deduced what had happened.
This left him... somewhat at a loss for words.
What if he fainted along with Leonard and the others, or died in battle alongside the captain?
Does that mean he won't have to die?
Just consider it a nightmare; Ince Zangwell will probably still die in the end.
"Why didn't I faint? And why did I happen to have two Yang Flame Talismans at that time?!"
Klein was upset; he felt things shouldn't be like this.
It's too late to say anything now. His body has already been "buried." Although he has "come back to life," he can never go back. The secrets of the Gray Mist Space and the secrets of resurrection after death cannot be explained.
How did he know I was a fool?
"Is this related to 'mind reading'?"
"Does he know about this gray fog space?"
What does "be careful of the audience" mean?
Klein was filled with questions, and more importantly, he didn't know what he should do next.
To seek revenge?
Who to seek revenge against? Ince might be dead.
Seeking revenge on that mysterious being? Isn't that just suicide?
The problem Klein had to consider was that, having been buried once, he had no money left.
When he crawled out of the coffin, he only had a set of clothes and the "Azik Copper Whistle" on him. He had nothing else. The two Yangyan Talismans that were theoretically not consumed were also gone. They must have been taken back by Dunn and the others.
"We can't stay in Tingen any longer."
"If the people or organizations behind the scenes find out I'm not dead, not only will I be in trouble, but it could also implicate Melissa, Benson, and the captain."
"The other side hasn't made much of a fuss, they're obviously still wary of something. I need to go somewhere where it's easy to hide myself and where the church's influence is stronger."
Klein thought of "Shael," and perhaps Backlund would be a more suitable place.
"I've heard that the archbishops of the three orthodox churches in Backlund are all saints."
"Backlund should be very safe."
Mr. Fool had the idea of going to a big city to take a walk and see the sights.
Let's go back to that night in Tingen.
Seeing that "The Fool" hung up so quickly after their encounter in his dream, "Shael" was somewhat disappointed, but after all, that was Mr. Fool, what else could he do but indulge him?
"Sequence 1, I'm ridiculously weak."
Xia'er looked at the two "corpses" being slowly swallowed by the dream world. He took action to erase all traces of the dream world's existence, as well as anything that might bring him trouble.
He created a virtual personality, which jumped through dreams to a room filled with red smoked meat and put on clothes named "Ince Zangwell".
Before hiding himself, the archangel glanced in a certain direction from Tingen.
We're all avoiding those two brothers in Sequence 1; it's not easy for anyone, so let's not report each other.
He said nothing, and his figure disappeared into the ocean of the collective subconscious.
The room with the red chimney.
Ince Zangwell, who was resting in bed, slowly opened his eyes and smiled slightly.
"Whether a gatekeeper summoner is a demigod or not is not that important."
He got out of bed, walked to the window, and stared blankly at the crimson moon in the sky.
He's probably the most pathetic Sequence 1 in history. He managed to avoid being instantly killed by the divine vessel, but he still didn't know who to ally with. Even after Zarathustra escaped, he knew to associate with George III and Adam.
"It's better to rely on yourself than on others."
Ince Zangwell snapped his fingers, and an ordinary quill pen began to write automatically.
The final contents were recorded in that notebook.
"The ancient dragon has reappeared in the world."
"The true writers remain behind the scenes."
"Only the simple and 'foolish' can survive; the clever often fall into deeper traps."
"Ince Zangwell got what he always wanted, and his future is bright."
"The story of Tingen City ends here."
