Chapter 34 Two months later
Chapter 34 Two months later
Two months have passed since Bairga's three merchant ships were successfully repaired and left Sapphire Bay.
Saying that the repair was successful wouldn't be entirely accurate.
After all, Sapphire Bay has no professional shipyards, shipbuilders, or construction machinery.
The so-called repairs were simply to roughly shape the timber under the command of the sailors and then patch up the original hull.
In fact, these materials were completely substandard.
For example, the most important mast has almost no design that conforms to ship mechanics.
It can only be said that the tree people achieved a miracle through sheer strength, managing to forcefully insert a sufficiently tall tree trunk into the center of the ship.
Although it looked out of place, Captain Barga and the sailors seemed quite satisfied.
As long as I can go home, that's all that matters.
The profits from transporting the goods monopolized by the Black Tide Merchant Guild on this trip were very substantial, enough for them to completely renovate and upgrade the ship, and for everyone to receive a large sum of money.
Neither of the two scenarios Allen described occurred after they left.
Their departure did not seem to break the curse of Sapphire Bay, as no fleets subsequently attempted to reach Sapphire Bay to make contact with them.
Similarly, they did not seem to spread any negative influences, and Sapphire Bay was not bothered by any pirate tributaries.
Everything was so peaceful, as if they had never been there.
Two months later, the wilderness had entered the dry season.
But Sapphire Bay is a bay, and it is relatively humid.
For the past two months, Allen and his companions have lived a peaceful and uneventful life.
Firstly, in terms of construction, the addition of the Crab People and Tree People greatly shortened the construction period.
Both the [Wild Hunting Grounds] and [Fishing and Hunting Hut] have been successfully built and put into operation.
However, due to the lack of suitable hunters, only kobolds can hunt some small wild animals in the [Wild Hunting Grounds], which barely provides some prey.
The Fishing and Hunting Hut is different. Since the Fiddler Crabs are a marine race, their catch is incredibly high within the coverage area of the Fishing and Hunting Hut.
Seafood is piled up like mountains near the fishing hut every day.
Tree people don't need food; they only need magic and land.
The fiddler crab people, on the other hand, had already finished eating during the fishing and hunting process.
Now, not only is the storage of preserved food for the winter in the territory almost complete, but even the most ordinary kobolds have become picky in the face of abundant seafood.
Incidentally, due to the additional features of the [Fishing and Hunting Hut], Fiddler has a small chance of obtaining valuable seafood when fishing and hunting.
So now Allen's stone castle storeroom has a considerable amount of pearls and coral stored up.
Judging by its condition alone, it was worth a fortune, but no foreign merchant ships came to exchange it for gold coins.
In addition, the construction of the [Kobold Nest] has been completed. Now that there is a sufficient food supply, under Allen's instructions, Flintclaw has allowed the females in the tribe to begin a large-scale reproduction.
Kobold cubs hatch from their eggs in just two months, though it takes several years for them to reach full adulthood.
However, kobolds don't have any concept of child labor; as long as someone can run and jump, they can work.
While collecting the repair fee, Allen also picked out some basic magical materials.
These materials were used as consumables for Allen and his two companions to hone their magical skills over the past two months.
Although the three of them lived at a leisurely pace, none of them relaxed their efforts to improve their strength.
The future Sapphire Bay will require sufficient high-end combat power for protection, not to mention the black-robed wizard who has always been a dark cloud hanging over the three of them.
Of course, Allen mainly gave the magical materials to Solina and Viola, since as a [Lord] he could share experience in a small proportion.
After two months of training, all three of them showed significant changes in their stats.

Solina further explored the power of the Red Dragon Blood Guard, while also learning some elven magic.
Because her bloodline was modified, she found it difficult to learn elven magic, but thanks to the rapid learning ability of the [Interconnected Twins], she still managed to reach level 2.

Viola's [Ancient Tree Priest] is an advanced class, and leveling up is quite difficult.
Moreover, it seems that elven magic can be fully incorporated into this class, and there is no separate distinction made in Allen's panel.
As for the low-level class of Fire Elementalist, Viola hasn't studied it much lately, but she has still learned quite a bit from Solina through observation and practice.
The improvement in the strength of the half-elf twins benefited Allen, finally allowing him, who had a higher template, to also improve.

Allen's [Dragon Vein Warlock] class has finally reached level 5 without taking into account the [Territory] bonus.
In addition, two additional career levels were also obtained.
The Ancient Tree Priest seems to be a special profession that cannot be directly applied to Allen, and the Wizard (Elf) level has been further separated.
And the Miner rank boost from Flintclaw...
In the future, his number of followers will increase, and so will the variety of professions. Therefore, Allen decided to ignore these unimportant professional ranks.
In short, the main profession [Dragon Vein Warlock] has reached level 5, which not only represents a significant increase in his strength, but also triggers the first upgrade reward of the "Lord's Handbook".
He obtained 5 more crystals.
We can proceed with the next round of territory development.
But Allen did not use it immediately because he was considering new choices for his subjects.
The Treant race is thanks to Viola.
The crab people, on the other hand, were a return gift from the mermaid girl, Elaris.
Besides these two tribes, Allen had been exploring with Flintclaw for other tribes within Sapphire Bay that could be incorporated into their territory.
This operation did not stop during those two months.
He has already made some progress.
These five crystals were kept for this purpose.
Recruiting a leader similar to Flintclaw as a follower is a good way to manage a new territorial group.
Therefore, he planned to leave one or two of the crystals to the leader of the new tribe.
He planned to save the third one for Viola or Solina, not forgetting that the half-elf twins needed a class that could "balance" their attributes.
For the fourth one, he decided to recruit a leader for the Fiddler Crabs.
Crab people are really hardworking and have no complaints; they are so useful.
Allen decided to keep the fifth one, just in case.
Now, it's time to expand our influence further.
