In a newly built underground laboratory in Gotham City's East Side, Tony was adjusting an energy detector he'd brought from the Marvel Universe. The data flashing on the screen made him frown.
"This isn't right." Tony tapped on the control panel. "When we were testing in the Marvel Universe, the energy output of the Kryptonite fragment was very stable. But here, its readings are fluctuating by more than 47% of the normal range."
Chen Haotian approached to observe, his eyes faintly glowing blue—his enhanced perception from the DC universe. "I can directly see the energy overflowing. Kryptonian energy is creating some kind of repulsive reaction with the fundamental laws of this universe."
Nick Fury stood in the corner of the laboratory, his eyes closed, sensing the fluctuations in the surrounding space. "It's not just the Kryptonian fragments. I can feel all the technological equipment you brought vibrating at an abnormal frequency, like... trying to receive radio signals underwater."
Tony pulled up more data: "Look here, the Arc Reactor's output power increased by 12% in the DC Universe, but its energy efficiency decreased by 20%. This means that a lot of energy is being wasted, or... leaked into some dimension of this universe."
"The more serious problem is," Chen Haotian pointed to a running quantum computer, "that device generates almost no heat when it's running in the Marvel Universe, but here, its cooling system has been running overload for ten minutes."
As if to confirm his words, the quantum computer suddenly emitted a piercing alarm and spewed white smoke from its vents. Tony quickly cut off the power, but the equipment was already damaged.
"Damn it!" Tony inspected the burned components. "This is the third time this has happened. The equipment we bring seems to age faster in this universe."
Nick Fury opened his eyes: "I just tried to use my magical senses to track where the leaked energy went. It didn't dissipate, but... it was absorbed by the universe. Like a sponge absorbing water."
Chen Haotian pondered: "Different universes have different physical laws. Our technology is based on the laws of the Marvel universe. When it enters the DC universe, it's like putting freshwater fish into seawater. Although they can survive for a short time, problems will eventually arise."

"My God..." Tony immediately activated the scanner. "The weapon's energy core is dormant, but it's still affecting the surrounding space."

"This means we can't use our core technology in the DC Universe for long," Tony concluded dejectedly. "Unless we find a solution, every time we use it, it's like playing Russian roulette."
As evening fell, they received even worse news. Surveillance equipment installed throughout Gotham began to malfunction, and even the simplest communicators were experiencing signal distortion.
"We must solve this problem as soon as possible," Chen Haotian said, looking at a pile of scrapped equipment. "If we cannot find a balance between our technology and the laws of this universe, our operations in the DC universe will be severely limited."
As night fell, they temporarily withdrew to the Marvel Universe. In the Stark Tower laboratory, comparative tests confirmed their findings: all the devices that malfunctioned in the DC Universe returned to normal upon their return to the Marvel Universe.
"The conflict of laws is one-way," Tony analyzed the data. "Our equipment malfunctions in the DC Universe, but items from the DC Universe work perfectly in our world."
Chen Haotian stood by the window, gazing at the New York night view: "Does this mean that the laws of the DC Universe are more...inclusive? Or rather, more flexible?"
