Chapter 420 Sea King, the God of Metal
Lord Aquaman was resurrected, but died again on the spot not long after.
This dealt a significant blow to the morale of the righteous lords, but it also fueled everyone's anger.
Lord Superman's eyes glowed red, his heat vision almost overflowing. His face contorted with rage as he surveyed his companions: "Come with me to Earth Zero!"
Lord Lightning picked up Lord Aquaman's corpse and then followed the others to the "Bat Titan," which had been destroyed by the Anti-Monitor.
The "Bat Titan" was transformed from the entire Batcave. It was a weapon specially crafted by the Lord Bat to fight against superhuman opponents, but it was as vulnerable as rotten wood in the hands of the Anti-Monitor.
The portal that originally existed in the Bat Cave and was always connected to Earth Zero was also damaged.
"We—it seems we're trapped here," Lord Eaglewoman said, frowning.
These words seemed to finally ignite Lord Superman. The red light in his eyes could no longer be contained. He tilted his head back and shot out wildly, piercing through the atmosphere and heading into the depths of space.
"No, we're not trapped." Lord Lightning suddenly realized something, and pointed to the ground beneath his feet, "Connors is still here."
Deep within the Earth, Connors pulled the Mother Box from the Mysterious House: "The time has finally come when this thing will be useful."
His body is currently unable to leave the Earth's core, so the Mother Box can only pass through the earth and arrive in front of Lord Superman.
"Clark, open the blast channel. We must join forces with Earth Zero's Justice League to have any chance of driving away the Anti-Monitors," Lord Hawkgirl urged.
Lord Superman held the Mother Box in his hands and remained silent for a few seconds. Instead of opening the Explosion Channel, he snatched Aquaman's corpse from Lord Lightning's hands.
Then Clark pressed the mother box hard against the corpse's deflated chest.
hum!
Amidst a buzzing sound, the surface of the mother box began to ripple like water, and even the corpse of Lord Aquaman began to move.
"What are you doing!" Lord Lightning exclaimed in surprise.
The red light in Superman's eyes remained undiminished: "I'm saving him!"
"I know about Cyborg from Earth Zero. He was reborn from the brink of death thanks to the Mother Box."
"I will use the same methods to bring Arthur back to life!"
His expression became even more ferocious, as if he wasn't trying to resurrect Aquaman Arthur, but rather to simply cut him in two.
Lord Eagle Maiden was about to step forward to stop her, but Lord Lightning Barry stopped her.
Barry's expression was quite complicated. He didn't want to see Aquaman die so quietly, otherwise he wouldn't have participated in the previous ritual to resurrect Aquaman.
Aquaman, who lost his wife and brother in the "Doomsday Heat Reactor" incident in Atlantis, still destroyed the reactor in order to protect the world;
During the White Martian invasion, there was Aquaman who remained silent throughout, but fought on land until he was dehydrated in order to fight against the White Martians.
This man's presence is not strong; he is not as active as Barry, he doesn't have Diana's beauty, he's not as versatile as John Jones, and he doesn't have Bruce's high-tech skills.
But he always charged to the front in battle, and has even lost his life twice so far.
Lord Lightning Barry now understood why Lord Superman was so angry:
During the White Martian invasion, Superman and Aquaman were captured together. They were once brothers in arms, waiting for rescue from their other companions.
With a resounding clang of metal, the iron hook that Lord Bat had forged for Lord Aquaman fell off his severed arm, and a new mechanical arm took its place.
A red light shone from his chest, and his eyes opened unconsciously, a series of character codes flowing from them like a waterfall.
Within the collapsed chest cavity, metal organs rapidly constructed themselves on top of the original organs, and the heart began to beat powerfully.
When Lord Aquaman took a deep breath and awoke, Lord Lightning Barry knew perfectly well that his companion had been brought back to life.
As Aquaman Arthur regained consciousness, the red light in Lord Superman's eyes finally went out, and the ferocious expression on his face disappeared without a trace.
"You've resurrected me again?"
Lord Neptune raised the mechanical arm blankly, looked at it for a long time, and asked.
"I feel like I've become one with the internet. These new gadgets—in the online world, I almost have godlike abilities."
"Almost all of my internal organs have been replaced with metal—that's why I can do so much more."
As Lord Aquaman muttered to himself, Lord Superman pulled him up from the ground, then gave him a tight hug before finally speaking: "Now, it's the Anti-Monitor's turn to pay the price."
"Heading to Earth Zero!"
Earth Zero, Greer looked at the two identical-looking Dianas standing not far in front of her.
One of them rode a skeletal warhorse wielding a greatsword, while the other held a shield in one hand and a Vulcan longsword in the other, both assuming a fighting stance.
"Two Dianas, how interesting."
Grell wields a giant axe, and Darkseid's Omega Rays keep her eyes perpetually crimson.
"But you are all the failures of the great God, just like all humankind."
The two Dianas exchanged a glance, then slowly moved away from Greer, flanking her on either side.
"If anyone here is a failure, it's only you, Greta."
Wonder Woman twirled her Vulcan sword, entwining the hilt with the Lasso of Truth, and said to Greer, "I am Diana, daughter of the Amazons, I am Wonder Woman."
"I protect humanity from the ravages of gods and monsters. If fighting you is the way to stop it all, then come on!"
The Lady Warrior held the reins of the skeletal warhorse in one hand and planted the Vulcan Greatsword on the ground with the other, her Lasso of Truth also bound to the hilt of the greatsword.
"I've always been searching for something: truth, adventure, purpose—and justice."
"I am the Lord of Justice, and I will not let you get away with this."
Whoosh!
Lightning crackled within Shazam's body, which had been pierced through the chest. This lightning summoned large dark clouds, and a torrential downpour began.
With a sneer from Greer, two Dianas, one on each side, rushed towards Greer through the rain.
Wherever they passed, the rain was churned into a vacuum, and the two Vulcan swords sliced through the raindrops, their cold light flashing in the lightning as they slashed at Greer.
Greer still wore a disdainful sneer on her face. She lifted the giant axe in her hand and blocked the two Vulcan swords with the handle and the blade.
A tremendous impact and sound unfolded amidst the torrential rain, shattering the raindrops and sending them flying in all directions, except for the three Amazons whose center remained a completely dry space.
Less than a kilometer away from them, Hal, the Green Lantern with an injured leg, limped toward the Anti-Monitor and whispered to the Lantern Ring, "Lantern Ring, scan the area for any innocent civilians."
"Scanned, no targets other than combat personnel are present."
"Okay, Light Ring, call the Green Lantern Corps for me again."
Hal looked up at the Anti-Monitor, which resembled a small building, and a cryptic smile appeared on his face: "Superman is gone. I, Hal, am the strongest being here. I will protect everyone."
"Come on, uninvited guest!"
