Chapter 211: Investers
Chapter 211: Investers
The fox sisters left Heaven’s Door with delighted looks. They were glad to find this place. The artifacts were amazing, and the food was more so. They could not help but lick their lips in bliss.
They could feel a cool sensation running through their bodies. Where else could they eat such delicious food that could relax their bodies as well? If they weren’t short of money, they would have tasted all the dishes. One by one.
"Let’s come again, sister," said the younger Demi-human. "We still don’t know if the potions are as good as the artifact. I’m sure they must be very good. There are also dishes that we have yet to try."
She licked her lips as if remembering the taste of the dish she had just now.
The older sister nodded distractedly, feeling the sword on her waist. Her chances of entering the academy had increased by over twenty percent. She would have more chances to earn money if they could enter the academy. The money landers won’t mistreat their parents anymore. Fame, respect, money. They would have everything they ever desired in their lives. A determined look flashed across her face.
As the fox-sisters exited the shop, a couple strolled towards them. The sister eyed them and raised their eyebrows, looking at their pointed ears. They were elves. "Hello," the woman said to the fox sisters, smiling. "How are the goods in this shop?"
The sisters exchanged glances and the older one grasped her sword from her waist. The elf couple became alert, but the girl just rolled her eyes at their vigilance. "This is the sword I bought from the shop. Can you tell us the minimum market price for it?"
She had just benefited from the shop, and she was very grateful for it. She wanted to advertise the shop as much as she could.

The couple was unconvinced. However, when they entered the shop, their eyes enlarged in shock. Have they ever seen such a magnificent shop before? They doubted. They were already half-convinced. And when they looked around the shop and saw the price of the artifacts and potions, they were dumbfounded. Have they seen wrong? They rubbed their eyes, but the price remained the same.
The elf-couple exchanged glances and asked Hayla, "Can we meet the owner of this place?"
Hayla raised an eyebrow and said, "Can’t you see that he is the owner?" She pointed at Kadyn.
"He’s the owner?" The couple once more left speechless. What a weird guy. He was the owner, but instead of enjoying his life, he was working like an ordinary servant.
The duo put the best of their smiles on their faces as they moved towards Kadyn. "Sir, I’ve a business offer for you. Would you like to hear?"
Kadyn looked up and frowned. "Not interested."
The terse and blunt reply left the duo in an awkward position. "Sir, listen to us," said the elf-man. "You have such great products, but your shop is in such a rundown place of Dewhurst. I suppose you were unable to find a shop in the market. How about this—we’ll provide you a place for your shop in the market, and would also invest ten million shim in your business, in the exchange of ten percent equity?"
"What is equity?" asked Kadyn, a little confused.
The couple’s eyes shone brightly, as if they had found a lamb to slaughter.
However, before they could explain, a girl who was standing beside them, started speaking, "It is the share in the business. You have to give ten percent of your business to these ’kind’ people for their help." Hayla had done many business deals with the families of the Ceston empire. She was very familiar with some terms used in the business world. Unlike Kadyn, who was completely clueless.
As soon as Kadyn heard that he needed to give the percentage of his shop to these people, his expression darkened. "Not interested."
"Sir," began the elf-woman, her smile beautiful, "to develop any business one needs investors. Otherwise it will take god knows how long to spread your business. You also have to consider it if you want to build a bigger business."
"Sorry, not interested," Kadyn would never compromise in this aspect. How could he give a share in his shop? Impossible!
"Why?" said the elf-man. "Is the equity too high for you? We can always discuss it. How about eight percent equity with the same offer?"
"Throw them out," Kadyn said. His patient was limited, which had run out just now.
"Alright, alright." The couple’s expression changed when Hayla moved towards them. "If you don’t want to do business, it’s alright." The elves exchanged a helpless look, and then the male placed a card on Kadyn’s table. "This is our card. We invest in different businesses with the potential to grow. You can contact us if you ever change your mind."
"Hayla!" Kadyn said.

The elf-couple looked at the banner of the shop and frowned. "I thought we would be able to devour this business slowly and reduce a potential contender for a potion business. After all, our elf tribe is the best at brewing potions," said the male.
The female nodded. "It’s going to be tough, Thallan."
"We need to inform the higher ups, Imra," said the male elf, rubbing his frowning temples. "The products of this shop are so high quality and the price is so low. It’s just a matter of time before it becomes famous. At that time, it will affect our business."
"Won’t they take losses if they continue to sell the potion at such a low price?" said the female.
Thallan nodded. "It must be their strategy to become famous through this tactic. Though they won’t be able to go on much long like this. They have to increase the price very soon."
"Anyways," Imra shook her head, "we have already tried our best. Now we can just inform the higher ups. They can deal with it however they want."
"I suppose that’s the only thing we can do," nodded Thallan. He looked one last time towards the shop and said, "Let’s go."
The duo failed to notice a dark shadow trailing behind them.
