[Is it really open just because it's open?]
[Is it open even though it's not closed?]
[You can't open the door if you don't bow your head]
[Will participating in the Olympic Games guarantee a high score on the bullseye?]
No matter how many times the audience watched Yamada Ryo and Goto Ichiri's marksmanship, they were still amazed.
While Shinonome and Shima Rin were still diligently practicing their marksmanship, the End Band had already mastered pinpoint accuracy. They could hit the big head with a single shot, and the small head with pinpoint precision. They were truly like an elite special forces squad from a game, four people capable of taking on a whole group.
"do you died?"
Dongyun, standing behind the car, looked at the fallen zombie and muttered to himself.
"I gonna go see."
Gabriel arrived without anyone noticing, and her voice startled Shinonome, who hadn't been paying attention.
"You look like a ghost."
Shinonome looked at Gabriel and breathed a sigh of relief.
"It's because you're not vigilant enough."
After Gabriel finished speaking, she went to check on the fallen zombie.
If the zombie isn't dead, she'll finish it off; if the zombie is dead, she'll still finish it off to prevent it from resurrecting.
The valuable practice of finishing off enemies shouldn't be abandoned, as there's no guarantee that special infected individuals capable of "resurrection" won't emerge.
"Dead, completely dead."
Gabriel kicked the zombie's corpse twice, then used the entrenching tool in her hand to finish it off.
What was originally a hornet's nest's head became a bloody mess after a few shovel blows from the angel, looking quite gruesome.
"gross."
The bloody and gruesome scene made Gabriel uncomfortable. But she didn't stop, delivering two more blows.
"We should go, the zombies are coming."
Yamada Ryo looked out at the rain-soaked street; she could already hear the zombies running towards her, accompanied by gunshots.
Without hesitation, she quickly switched magazines and pulled the trigger again.
Firing a gun in a gas station is risky, but she had fired a gun in a gas station before and knew that gas stations were not so easily ignited by muzzle flash.
"Da da da--!"
The clear, rhythmic sound of rifle fire cleared away the zombies that appeared on the street outside the gas station.
Suddenly, Yamada Ryo noticed a deer emerging from among the growing number of zombies—a skinless zombie deer with large antlers on its head.
"deer?!"
Goto Ichiri, who also saw the deer, was shocked and immediately turned his gun and fired.
The zombie deer quickly fell, but it wasn't over yet. Under the bewildered gazes of the crowd, another zombie deer appeared, followed by even more.
real or fake? !
Yamada Ryo showed a look of surprise.
Just as Yamada Ryo emptied her magazine and saw the endless stream of zombie deer, she decisively pulled out a grenade to throw it, but then hesitated, remembering that this was a gas station.
In that moment of hesitation, zombies and zombie deer rushed up to them.
Gabriel made her move.
Knowing that things would go wrong if they didn't act soon, they shot arrows of light through the heads of the zombie deer in front of them.
"Hurry, there are still many more!"
Gabriel glanced at the street and saw several more deer appear.
Wasn't the infection rate in animals supposed to be low? What happened to these deer? How come so many deer are infected?! Is the intelligence false?!
"Get in the car, get in that car."
The leader of the group, Yi Shanghua, immediately pointed to a white car parked outside the supermarket.
He had the keys to the car; it belonged to a zombie at the gas station. To prevent a situation like this from happening again, they filled the car with gas after confirming it was okay.
"You guys get in the car first."
Shinonome continued firing.
He wasn't using his own small revolver, but rather the hunting rifle that Ishanhua had given him after he arrived at the gas station—a rifle belonging to the farm that was kept there.
This gun was a bolt-action shotgun, and it gave him a real taste of the thrill of pulling the bolt. It was a damn thrill, completely unlike automatic or semi-automatic shotguns.
The shotgun was quite powerful, and his aim was pretty accurate, but he had no idea what the zombie deer's head was made of. He'd shot it in the head, but damn it, the zombie deer just wouldn't die. He fired another shot, another headshot, and still it wasn't dead.
Did it miss the brain? Or did it hit but not enough to damage the brain?
As everyone knows, killing zombies requires a headshot.
Cleveland has dissected zombies, and his records state that zombies are dead, but their brains are strangely in a state of superposition between death and life.
This means that the zombie's brain is dead, but for some reason it is still active. And if you destroy the brain, the zombie will be silenced forever.
"What a terrible gun."
Dongyun couldn't take it anymore; now she knew why the gun was left in the gas station's convenience store.
Liang and Boqi-chan were killing deer and zombies one by one, but he was slowly pulling the leash and still couldn't kill a single deer.
Clutching the tattered gun, Shinonome, Yamada Ryo, and Goto Ichiri got into the car.
After confirming that everyone else had boarded the car, Gabriel immediately ran up to it and snuggled into Shinonome's arms.
This wasn't a public display of affection; it's just that the car isn't big, and the back seat can't seat four people, so she had to sit on Dongyun's lap.
Everyone got in the car, and Yi Shanghua immediately started driving.
Yamada Ryo, who was sitting by the window, rolled down the window, stuck his gun out, and continued firing.
Although I don't quite understand why there are so many zombie deer, I just need to shoot them all.
As soon as the car drove out of the gas station, there was a "Duang" sound, and something fell onto the car.
The next second, a hideous zombie face, upside down, appeared outside Yamada Ryo's car window.
"Ho!"
Zombies are just a stone's throw away.
Yamada Ryo, expressionless, shoved the gun muzzle into the zombie's mouth, his voice slightly angry, and pulled the trigger.
"Go to hell!"
Chapter 60 Scenery and Grand Scenery
Pac-15 fires.
The suspected special-sensitivity zombie immediately fell off the vehicle.
Yamada Ryo leaned out of the car window, gave the middle finger to the fallen zombies behind him and the pursuing zombies, and then opened fire again, unleashing a barrage of fire on the zombies behind the car.
The system's auto-aiming isn't perfect; she still needs to aim at the target as much as possible. Therefore, even when she's in a fast-moving car, she still needs to aim and fire to hit the zombies, inevitably relying on a bit of luck.
In just over a week, Yamada Ryo had pretty much adapted to this damn world.
Her friends were the same; no matter how unwilling they were, in order to survive in this world for a long time and eventually "pass the level" and go home, they all had to adapt.
Although they didn't know how to complete this realistic apocalyptic game, all they could do was try to survive. The longer they lived, the better things would happen; perhaps that good thing would be returning them to their original world.
The car sped towards where they had parked, quickly leaving the zombies at the gas station behind.
If they encountered zombies on the road, Yi Shanghua would avoid them if possible; if they couldn't avoid them, they would just run them over. This beat-up little car was only for emergencies; if it broke down, so be it, they had other emergency vehicles at the gas station anyway.
The car arrived at its destination shortly after.
The people in the car quickly got out, and Yamada Ryo and Goto Ichiri worked together to clear away the zombies that had gathered on the street. Shinonome, Kagamihara Nadeshiko, and Ishō Hana walked quickly to the parked SUV, cautiously observing the back and under the car to prevent any zombie attacks.
Especially under the car, it's hard to say there won't be disabled zombies lying under the car.
If you get bitten, even an angel can't save you; even if you get scratched, there's still a high risk of getting infected with the virus.
After confirming that there were no zombies near or below the car, Isamu opened the trunk and quickly threw the backpack containing the gasoline cans inside, as did Kagamihara Nadeshiko.
Soon everyone got on the bus.
Ryo Yamada and Ichiri Goto continued their attack, sitting on either side of the back seat as the zombies approached with their windows open.
After making sure everyone was on the bus, and seeing the zombies on the zombie street gradually approaching, Yi Shanghua calmly started the car.
Unlike driving the previous car, he was much more careful driving this one, avoiding the approaching zombies to prevent the car from hitting them and causing damage.
This is the car they're driving to California; it's his precious car, so it can't be damaged in any way.
After the car drove out of the town and shook off the zombies, Kagamihara Nadeshiko breathed a sigh of relief, followed by a deep sense of doubt.
