Chapter 108 Survival of the Catastrophe
Chapter 108 Survival of the Catastrophe
Shang Yun unleashed the "All Nations Shocking Palm," suddenly shooting electricity at Kara and Mor. The powerful current trapped Kara and Mor within it like a bright electric net, rendering them unable to move. He continued to attack them with electricity, and wherever the current reached, Kara and Mor's bodies flashed with blue light, emitting painful roars. The gale dispersed their roars, and they disappeared into the distance.
Krillin and Gohan also came to their senses. They exchanged a glance and simultaneously unleashed their "Kamehameha," which, along with Shang Yun's "World Shock Palm," attacked Kara and Mor.
Under the combined attack of the three, Kara and Moor finally couldn't hold on any longer. They were struck by the powerful energy, let out a scream, and were sent flying, crashing heavily into a rock in the distance. The rock shattered instantly, raising a cloud of dust. The wind quickly swept the dust away, revealing a scene of utter devastation.
Shang Yun used his last ounce of strength. He was drenched in sweat, panting heavily, his clothes soaked through and clinging to his body. But he couldn't afford to rest. Forcing his exhausted body to move, he shouted loudly to Krillin and Gohan, "Quick, we need to find the spaceship right now! We can't give them a chance to catch their breath!" His voice was hoarse with exhaustion, but it was filled with urgency and determination.
Krillin and Gohan, hearing Shang Yun's call, immediately rushed to his side, and the three of them quickly ascended into the air. The wind still howled in their ears, making it almost impossible for them to open their eyes. They struggled to steady themselves and carefully looked around. What they saw shocked them. The surrounding scenery was so familiar; in their search for the Dragon Balls, they thought they had traversed countless mountains and rivers, but in reality, they had been wandering in the same place all along. The spaceship that carried their hopes was quietly resting behind the mountains not far away.
Shang Yun thought to himself, all the hardships and setbacks along the way were just an illusion created by Kara and Moor. Their mental power was so strong that they had unknowingly fallen into such a deep deception. But now was not the time for regret; they had to leave this place as soon as possible.
Without the slightest hesitation, Shang Yun grabbed Bulma, called to Krillin and Gohan, and sped towards the spaceship. Their figures appeared somewhat disheveled in the fierce wind, but their steps were incredibly firm. Finally, they returned to the spaceship.
However, just as Bulma was about to start the spaceship's engines, Kara and Mor recovered. Clearly unwilling to let their prey escape, they extended their long tentacles again, trying to stop the spaceship from taking off. The tentacles, like black pythons, tightly coiled around the spaceship, causing it to tremble slightly, as if they would drag it back to the ground at any moment.
Seeing this, Shang Yun's eyes revealed a resolute look. He quickly concentrated all his mental energy, veins bulging on his forehead, and beads of sweat constantly sliding down his cheeks. He gathered this powerful mental energy together, then split it into two streams, which, through the spaceship, pierced straight towards Kara and Mor like two invisible blades.
Kara and Morton immediately felt the immense pressure of this mental force and were startled. They sensed a deadly threat and, in self-preservation, had to withdraw the tentacles that were enveloping the spaceship and instead focus all their efforts on resisting Shang Yun's mental attack. A faint light emanated from their bodies in an attempt to withstand this mental shock.
Seeing this opportunity, Bulma immediately activated the spaceship. With a deafening roar, the spaceship finally broke free from Kara and Mor's restraints and slowly ascended into space. As the spaceship continued to rise, everyone watched the planets outside the windows gradually shrink, their hearts filled with mixed emotions.
Kara watched the spaceship gradually disappear and murmured, "They were really amazing!"
Moore raised his head and chimed in, "Yes, who knows when someone will come here again."
The spaceship sped through the boundless universe like a lone boat, finally escaping the terrifying threat of Kara and Moore. Shang Yun lay sprawled on the ground, his chest heaving, sweat soaking his clothes. He greedily inhaled the air from inside the spaceship, as if trying to expel all the tension and fear he had just experienced. The joy of surviving a close call shone in his eyes. He stared at the ceiling, a smile unconsciously playing on his lips, and murmured, "Finally, we escaped..."
While rubbing his sore shoulders, Kelin grinned and joked, "Shang Yun, that scene just now was truly breathtaking! Your mental attack was crucial; it was our lifeline! I thought we were doomed, but you were so amazing, pulling us back from the brink of death." His words were tinged with teasing, but mostly filled with gratitude and admiration for Shang Yun.
Gohan's face still bore the resolute look of battle, but it was now replaced by a smile. He scratched his head and said, "Godfather, we really owe you a lot this time. Those two monsters' illusions were too powerful; we were completely kept in the dark, just going around in circles looking for the Dragon Balls. It's unbelievable. But thankfully, we're all still alive, and that's enough." His eyes revealed a hint of anticipation for the future, as if he had grown a lot after this life-or-death ordeal.
Bulma rose from the pilot's seat, hands on her hips, feigning anger, and said, "You grown men, all you know how to do is rush forward without thinking about the consequences! If it weren't for my quick thinking in starting the spaceship, even if you defeated those two guys, you would still be trapped on that damned planet." Although her tone was reproachful, her eyes were full of relief and joy at surviving the ordeal.
Shang Yun replied with a smile, "Yes, yes, Miss Bulma is wise and brave. We were able to escape danger this time, and you deserve a lot of credit."
Klin continued, "On another note, this experience has taught us a lesson: we can't trust others so easily anymore. Who would have thought those two guys were hiding so well? They almost drained our mental energy."
Son Gohan nodded in agreement: "That's right, we need to be more careful in the future. However, this incident also showed us our shortcomings. We need to continuously improve our strength in order to deal with even stronger enemies."
Bulma sat down, took out food and water from the spaceship, and distributed them to everyone: "Alright, let's not talk about this for now. Let's eat something to replenish our strength, and then think about what to do next. Although we didn't find the Dragon Balls this time, we didn't come away empty-handed; at least we're still alive."
The four sat together, eating and sharing their experiences. They laughed and sighed, their laughter echoing throughout the spaceship.
"Alright! We need to make up for the lost time. Target: Namek! Full speed ahead!" Bulma commanded the spaceship, hands on her hips.
"it is good!"
