Chapter 63 Intimate Paradise
Chapter 63 Intimate Paradise
As Boruto rested on a rock, he squinted slightly and glanced around casually, only to find Kakashi still engrossed in reading a worn-out book.
Kakashi's focus aroused Boruto's curiosity, and he soon noticed that the book's cover prominently displayed the four characters "Make-Out Paradise".
Boruto was secretly puzzled. What was so good about this book called "Icha Icha Paradise" that made Kakashi so obsessed with it, even holding it in his hands every day like a treasure?
Boruto knows that "Make-Out Paradise" is a very popular book among the adults in the village, but he has never actually read it and doesn't know what it contains.
Boruto couldn't help but ask, "Kakashi-sensei, don't you get tired of reading the same book every day?"
Kakashi slowly closed the book, waved it in front of Boruto, and replied with a mysterious smile, "Hehe, the contents of this book are truly unforgettable; it's a masterpiece rarely seen in the world!"
Hearing Kakashi's high praise for the book, Boruto's interest grew even stronger; he wanted to see if the book was really that good.
Boruto's eyes widened, and he eagerly asked, "Really? If that's the case, then I want to see it too! Kakashi-sensei, could I borrow it to watch for just a few days?"
However, Kakashi's expression instantly turned somewhat awkward. He coughed twice and stammered, "Ahem... um... um, I suddenly remembered that I have some important things to take care of... I'll be going now."
After saying that, Kakashi quickly stood up and disappeared without a trace in a flash.
Boruto stared in the direction Kakashi had gone, then pursed his lips and muttered, "Tch, what a stingy guy. Fine, he won't lend it, but he runs away faster than a rabbit."
......
Boruto was enjoying the peaceful afternoon on the streets of Konoha Village. He had just come out of a small restaurant, still holding a bamboo skewer with the last piece of grilled meat on it.
Suddenly, Boruto's gaze inadvertently swept over the bookstall, and his eyes were immediately drawn to a book displayed outside the bookstall—the very book that Kakashi was holding.
Boruto approached curiously, his gaze quickly sweeping across the bookshelf. He picked up a copy of "Make-Out Paradise" at random. Surprisingly, this book was divided into three volumes: upper, middle, and lower. He hadn't expected it to be a series.
Boruto casually picked out one of the volumes without even opening it, then walked up to the shopkeeper and asked, "How much is this 'Make-Out Paradise'?"
The bookstore owner looked at Boruto with a hint of suspicion on his face, but still replied, "Icha Icha Paradise? If it is, it's a very popular series. Each volume costs 120 taels, which is quite a fair price for a bestseller."
Boruto's eyes widened involuntarily when he heard the price quoted by the shopkeeper.
He originally thought that a book so highly praised by Kakashi-sensei would be even more expensive.
120 taels was indeed an unexpected surprise for him.
He felt a surge of admiration for Kakashi-sensei, because Kakashi-sensei was able to find good books that were both high-quality and inexpensive.
Without hesitation, Boruto immediately took out the corresponding amount of money from his wallet, handed it to the shopkeeper, and said firmly, "Okay! I'll take it."
The shop owner quickly packed the book and handed it to Boruto.
After Boruto received the packaged book, the shop owner couldn't help but ask curiously, "Little friend, are you planning to read this book yourself, or are you going to bring it to the adults?"
Boruto was somewhat confused when he heard the shopkeeper's question, not understanding why the shopkeeper would ask such a question.
But Boruto answered frankly, "I definitely buy books for myself to read."
Upon hearing Boruto's frank answer, the shop owner couldn't help but smile knowingly. He chuckled softly, "I didn't expect to find someone so young who shares my interests, and one who's so open about it."
The shop owner's tone carried a hint of approval, seemingly appreciating Boruto's straightforward personality.
Boruto scratched his head, then chuckled, puzzled, "Do we need to hide anything when we're reading a book?"
Boruto clearly didn't understand the deeper meaning behind the shopkeeper's words. Normally, just looking at the title should have made it clear that there was something strange about this book.
Boruto thought to himself, "Kakashi-sensei is always reading this book, and no one has ever said anything against it. It's just a book, so what's the big deal?"
The shop owner looked at Boruto with admiration, thinking that this kid was really frank, and generously sold him the book.
Boruto took the book, paid for it, and felt a little confused, but still left the bookstore happily.
"Um...that...let me see..." Once on the street, Boruto eagerly opened "Make-Out Paradise" and began reading.
"...I reached out...and grasped...the touch...your...startled to heat up...Mr. Natsumi...Ms. Natsuko..."
When Boruto was halfway through reading, his hands began to tremble involuntarily, and his voice started to tremble as well. A blush spread rapidly from his chest to his cheeks like a tide.
Boruto hurriedly closed "Make-Out Paradise," inwardly exclaiming: "Isn't this just one of those novels?!"
He looked around frantically, praying that he wouldn't be discovered, and at the same time, he suddenly realized why the bookstore owner had reacted that way.
In an instant, Kakashi's towering image in Boruto's heart crumbled into a pile of rubble.
However, it was all too late. People on the street began to cast strange glances at the boy with his perverse sense of humor.
At this moment, a mother covered her child's ears with both hands and sighed, "Oh dear, the world is going to the dogs! There are all kinds of people these days."
As the mother spoke, she looked at Boruto with disdain, then quickly pulled her child away.
"No! No! I... I just..." Boruto tried to reach out and stop them, but the mother and daughter ran even faster when they saw this.
"Boruto... Boruto, what... what are you doing here...?"
But the matter wasn't over yet. A soft voice came from behind Boruto, making him tremble and stiffly turn around.
