Chapter 8 Teacher Yekura
Chapter 8 Teacher Yekura
As a new day dawns, Kyosuke continues to perform well at school, Ooka Shin goes out to find medicinal herbs to treat Kanae's illness, Oniichiro continues to be a hardworking rich kid, and Mimori continues to stay at home, refining chakra and practicing hand seals.
After Chisuke Tasaka and Yokura met up, Yokura didn't waste any words and headed straight for the mission location. Chisuke could only try his best to keep up with Yokura's speed.
Fortunately, Yekura intentionally slowed down, otherwise Chisuke would have been left behind long ago.
During the lunch break, Yekura briefly explained the mission.
"In the Land of Rivers, there was a lord who used to employ us Sand Ninjas. However, the old lord died recently, and the new lord has switched to employing Konoha Ninjas. Coincidentally, the new lord's brother hired us to assassinate the new lord. Therefore, for the sake of the village, this mission must be completed."
The Sand Village has always been short of funds, and the Kazekage even had to use Magnet Release to find gold dust to supplement the budget.
The mission in a town could yield a large reward, and the Sand Village was unwilling to give it up, so they sent the powerful Pakura to carry it out.
While on the road, Yekura explained the mission information and then assigned a task to Chisuke.
"We'll split up and each carry out infiltration reconnaissance and assassination. Of course, your task is to cover me and, ideally, draw away some of the guards so you can better assist me in completing my mission."
Although the mission was dangerous, Chisuke rolled his eyes inwardly, but nodded seriously on the surface: "Understood."
A few days later, they arrived at a town, where they separated. Yekura disappeared, and Chisuke began his operation.
The first step is to investigate the environment.
It was late at night, and there were few people on the streets. The whole town was dark, with only a few places lit up.
Standing on the roof of a house, Chisuke observed the structure of the town by the dim moonlight.
This is a typical Japanese town, with a tall castle tower in the center and houses of varying heights surrounding it.
Some of the houses are tall, which are probably places like markets, barracks, hotels, or estates, while others are short, which are probably houses for ordinary people.
Some areas are brightly lit, perhaps bustling commercial streets with vibrant nightlife, while others are shrouded in shadow, perhaps cemeteries or orchards.
The roads in the north are wide and the houses are neat, so it must be where the rich live, while the houses in the south are messy and the roads are winding and narrow, so it must be where the poor live.
There is a small dock to the east, next to a wide and flat river, where the water glistens under the moonlight.
To the west lies a range of rolling hills and forests.
"Two evacuation routes should be arranged: one eastward by water and the other westward through the mountains, while avoiding areas with lights and tall buildings as much as possible."
Having roughly planned the route, Chisuke took out his weapon kit and set up some traps along the way to slow down the pursuers and buy time.
After finishing all this, it was already past midnight. The sun was expected to rise in an hour or two. Many of the town's lights were off, and people were fast asleep. It was the perfect time to take action.
First, he coated the blades and short swords with a special material to prevent them from reflecting light. Then, he stuck the antidote pill on his palate. Chisuke silently rushed towards the castle tower along the dark street corner.
Outside the castle tower is a layer of earthen and stone wall, with some guards patrolling back and forth.
After observing for a moment, Chisuke discovered the guards' patrol pattern. Taking advantage of the gap in the guards' shifts, Chisuke jumped over the wall and landed in a garden. Under the cover of the artificial hills and trees, he continued his advance.
But after taking only a few steps, Chisuke immediately stopped.
It was so quiet around us that there wasn't even a sound of insects chirping.
Realizing the danger, Chisuke turned to run away, but was blocked by two dark figures that suddenly appeared.
"Konoha ninja!"
Using the torches on the wall, Chisuke saw the headbands of two ninjas.
According to intelligence, the lord of the city is being protected by a four-person team from Konoha, with the team leader being a Jonin and the team members being Chunin.
It seems that Chisuke was discovered as soon as he climbed over the wall, and then the Konoha ninja captain sent two Chunin to deal with him, while he continued to protect the lord of the castle.
To be honest, Chisuke felt he couldn't beat these two Chunin, but fortunately his mission was to draw fire, so he didn't have to fight the enemy to the death.
"Looks like you're just a low-level ninja. You'd better surrender, or we might accidentally kill you."
The two Chunin used verbal pressure while simultaneously making their plans.
Soon, countless tiny insects appeared around Chisuke, completely surrounding him.
"The Aburame clan, huh? It seems the insects discovered me."
In the moment of crisis, Chisuke remained calm and showed no fear.
Psychological warfare, who's afraid of whom?
Of course, while speaking, Chisuke took out two already lit explosive tags and threw them out.
"Wind Release: Great Breakthrough!"
The explosive tags detonated ahead, and Senju unleashed a powerful gust of wind, accompanied by flames, as he charged towards the Konoha ninja, forcing back the insects and successfully creating an opening in the encirclement.
Before the flames could dissipate, Chisuke rushed out with the strong wind, his body almost plunging into the flames, his skin burning and stinging.
"Chase!"
Seeing a child escape from their grasp, the two adult Chunin were furious and gave chase.
The Konoha Chunin were stronger than Sensuke. Even though Sensuke followed the planned route through dark and winding paths, these environments did not hinder the Konoha ninja, and Sensuke was quickly caught up.
The Konoha ninjas were very skilled in taijutsu and had excellent teamwork. After exchanging two blows, Sensuke was stabbed in the left shoulder with a kunai, and his left arm was almost completely immobilized, hanging limply at his side.
"Why isn't Yekura making any moves yet? As long as she makes a fuss, those two ninjas will definitely go back."
After glancing at the quiet castle tower, Chisuke dared not continue close combat and threw out another explosive tag.
For his son's safety, Makoto Tasakabe prepared many weapons for Chisuke during this operation, including three expensive explosive tags.
There's a reason why it's expensive. The power of the explosive tags is undeniable. They successfully forced back the pursuers and bought Chisuke a few seconds.
Chisuke pressed his right hand against the wound on his left shoulder to prevent excessive bleeding, but this also affected his speed, and he was quickly overtaken again.
"For a kid, your strength is quite good, but unfortunately it ends here!"
A Konoha ninja threw a shuriken, blocking Sensuke's escape route, while another Konoha ninja charged forward wielding a long sword.
Chisuke could only use his right hand to hold the kunai to defend himself, then he was kicked in the stomach and rolled into the dilapidated house next to him.
"That's enough, die!"
The Konoha ninja chased after him, intending to kill Sensuke, when suddenly a light purple powder fell from the roof, filling the air with a sour, foul smell.
"No, it's poisonous!"
The two Konoha ninjas' expressions changed, and they immediately left the house.
This is a trap set by Chisuke, using up all his poison, and so far it seems to be working quite well.
At that moment, Chisuke also inhaled the poison powder, felt dizzy, immediately swallowed the antidote pill in his mouth, and then fled in another direction.
On the street, two Konoha ninjas looked grim. A swarm of small insects crawled on their bodies, sucking out the poison. Although they couldn't cure the poison, they could suppress its effects and temporarily maintain their fighting ability.
The cost was the death of many insects.
"Damn it, that damned brat, I have to kill him!"
They knew Chisuke couldn't escape, so they wanted to keep chasing him. Just as they lifted their feet, they saw a burst of flames on the castle tower. Their expressions changed drastically, and without regard for Chisuke, they ran straight towards the castle tower.
Chisuke fled to the riverbank, using the water to cover the bloodstains, and then went to the meeting point he had agreed upon with Yokura before treating his wounds.
As dawn broke, Yekura arrived at the scene.
At this moment, Yekura was in a rather disheveled state, with multiple wounds on her body and her right leg walking somewhat unnaturally, but she was in good spirits and looked at Chisuke with great admiration.
"This mission was successfully completed, and you deserve credit for it. I didn't expect you to be able to lure away two Konoha Chunin. Very good, you have passed my test. I will teach you from now on."
Chisuke was overjoyed: "Yakura-sensei, I will definitely continue to work hard."
That same day, the decisive Yekura handed a scroll to Sensuke, which contained not only the ninjutsu Yekura knew, but also her training insights and advanced ninjutsu knowledge that the school did not teach.
At this moment, Chisuke realized the huge gap between school teaching and the passing down of knowledge from teacher to student. After all, the ninja academy needs to train a large number of ninjas, which requires minimizing costs, otherwise it simply cannot afford to support them.
The teacher-student transmission is elite education, which requires a lot of effort and resources, no wonder Yecang was unwilling at first.
Raising an apprentice is like raising a vampire; one must be very careful.
With Yekura's guidance, the Dream Five finally learned more ninjutsu, greatly increasing their combat power.
