Chapter 70 Spider-Man, You're the Real Bitch
Chapter 70 Spider-Man, You're the Real Bitch
Happy disappeared for the next three days.
I don't know what secret mission Tony sent him on.
Little Chili was also absent from the seaside villa.
Tony was the only one in the armor lab, working day and night to build his own Iron Man suit.
As for Mark, a letter appeared on his desk two nights later.
His expression changed slightly after reading the letter.
"Seriously? You can't take a joke?"
He took the letter and turned to go to the armor laboratory.
"Ben and May were kidnapped by them; they were trying to distract me."
Tony looked away from the robotic arm.
"I just received the news too, so you have to leave."
"What will you do if I leave?" Mark asked worriedly.
Tony chuckled. "Actually, what you really want to ask is, what about the final payment, right?"
mark:"........"
Damn it, this guy guessed right again.
Who says top students don't understand social etiquette?!
"Ahem, actually, there's no conflict." He chuckled dryly.
Tony was about to say something when he heard Jarvis's voice.
"Sir, he's here."
"Let him in."
Tony put down his work, turned around, and walked out of the laboratory.
Mark followed curiously.
The villa's private airport saw helicopters kicking up dust as they slowly landed.
"Hey, Tony."
Rhodes jumped out of the helicopter and gave Tony a big hug.
"I heard you've gotten into a lot of trouble lately. Good thing you're still alive." Rod grinned, revealing a set of big white teeth.
Tony sized up the man's uniform. "You're here on a mission, aren't you?"
"You guessed right."
The two entered the room, and Tony placed a glass of whiskey on the table.
"You're here tonight to negotiate, and negotiations mean we can drink." He said with absolute certainty.
Rod looked at the wine glass on the table and sighed helplessly.
"Nothing can be hidden from you. My mission tonight is to mediate between you and Stanislavsky, hoping you will put aside your grudges."
Tony turned his head away. "You know it's impossible."
Rhodes nodded. "I know it's impossible, but it's my mission."
As he spoke, he raised his glass and laughed, "It's okay if this kind of task isn't completed. Cheers!"
"Cheers."
Tony smiled and finished his whiskey with the other man.
Rhodes then adopted a serious expression.
"Tony, General Ross sent me here this time. It turns out your kidnapping was related to him."
Tony didn't react at all after these words were spoken.
He probably already guessed it.
Mark, who had been silent all along, seemed to be deep in thought.
It seems Tony has been doing a lot of work behind the scenes, and has been gathering this information for a while now.
Tony poured himself another glass of whiskey. "What if I refuse?" he asked Rod.
Rhodes shook his head. "I don't know. Maybe he'll side with Stanislav and take over Stark Industries, handing it over to Stanislav. After all, their cooperation is more pleasant."
Tony chuckled. "It is indeed very enjoyable, because they are the same kind of people."
However, General Ross may have forgotten that three years ago, the street was destroyed by the green monster.
"It's all because of him and his men; they're the ones who caused all this."
Rod's face darkened when he spoke of what happened three years ago.
"Despite causing enormous disaster, they have not received any punishment whatsoever."
"They set the rules, of course not."
Tony made a sarcastic remark and turned to look at Mark.
You should still remember what happened three years ago.
Mark nodded. "Of course, Peter lost his right hand, and I was sent to a mental hospital."
"madhouse?"
Rod seemed to have thought of something, and he looked at Mark with a surprised expression.
"You're the man who walked out of the mental hospital, the paladin of New York?"
Mark's lips twitched. "They even dug up information about the mental hospital?"
Upon seeing Mark's admission, Rod warmly stepped forward to greet him.
"Hey Mark Parker, I'm Tony's good friend, James Rhodes. You're much more disciplined than any of my comrades."
"Your comrades?"
Mark glanced at the other man sideways. "It's common knowledge that your comrades are the least disciplined of all."
Rod was a little embarrassed, but his face was dark, so you couldn't tell.
"Ahem, actually I'm not familiar with them."
With you here, Tony's safety should be guaranteed.
He's leaving soon.
Tony stepped forward and said, "His family was threatened, so he had to leave."
He will not participate in my upcoming duel with Stanislavski.
"What?"
Rhodes was startled. "Tony, don't be impulsive. General Ross won't let anything happen to Stanislav."
"I won't let anything happen to me either," Tony said coldly.
Rod opened his mouth, but for a moment he didn't know what to say.
Seeing the somewhat tense atmosphere, Mark spoke up:
"I will not let anything happen to my family."
Rhodes: "......."
I don't care about your family at all!
"Okay, Mark."
At this moment, Tony urged, "You should leave now. Let Rhodes take you."
Trust me, I will transfer the remaining payment to you.
He looked very serious.
Mark grinned. "Then I'm relieved."
"Let's go, Colonel Rhodes." He looked at Rhodes.
Rhodes asked in confusion, "How do you know my rank?"
"You're so famous, everyone knows that."
"Haha, so I'm that popular... wait, I just got promoted..."
"Stop thinking about it, just go."
-
Soon, the helicopter disappeared into the night sky.
new York.
As the helicopter soared over the skyscrapers, the dragon's wings suddenly radiated a divine light.
Amid Rod's exclamation, Mark jumped out of the helicopter and glided towards the neon city, eventually landing on Black Street.
Inside the house, the lights were off, and Mark entered to find no one there.
On the table is a family photo of the Parker family.
The photo was covered with a bloody slap.
"The Hand?"
Mark sneered, then picked up the note on the table.
This is the location where they've agreed to a fight, and the time is tomorrow.
It was also the time for Tony and Stanislav's duel.
He took out his phone.
"Hey, you little rascal, how's it going?"
"Oh, my friend, don't worry, Ben and May are right under my nose, they're fine. But if you don't come tomorrow, I can't take them down by myself."
As Wade spoke, he raised his binoculars again and said:
"But besides kidnapping your parents, they also brought a woman with them. Is that your girlfriend?"
"What?"
Mark frowned. "Could it be Gwen?"
"What?! You poor bastard actually have a girlfriend?!" Wade was shocked.
Mark's face darkened. "No, don't talk nonsense. Besides, if a bitch like you can have a girlfriend, why can't others?"
"Mark, you make a good point."
"That's enough talking. You keep an eye on them. I'm on my way now."
"No problem, this time we'll catch them off guard."
After Wade finished speaking, he remembered something else.
"By the way, I forgot to ask how much the job is this time."
"Money? What money?"
"Oh shit, you're trying to renege on your debt!"
"I never agreed to pay, so there's no question of me defaulting on a debt."
"You bastard, you're the real bitch!"
