He opened his eyes and looked up.
A surge of energy pierced the atmosphere.
His communicator rang; it was Natasha.
“Mr. Chen, there’s something going on.” Her voice was calm. “The radar has detected strong spatiotemporal fluctuations, just like the one in New Mexico. Fury wants you to go there for help.”
"Understood." Chu Hang hung up the call and stood up.
He pushed open the door and bumped into Tony and Banner coming out of the lab; both of them looked very grim.
"What's wrong?" Chu Hang asked.
“Fury is lying to us,” Tony said. “He wants to use the Tesseract to make weapons.”
"I know."
Chu Hang's answer surprised Tony.
"you know?"
"Otherwise, why do you think I'm on this ship? As a mascot?" Chu Hang patted him on the shoulder. "Go watch the show. The captain has already gone to settle accounts with him."
After saying that, he walked straight to the deck.
Bridge command center.
Steve Rogers placed a black metal box heavily on the central holographic projection table.
The muffled thud drew everyone's attention.
He opened the box, inside was an energy rifle with a bright red Hydra emblem printed on it.
“Phase Two,” Steve’s voice was icy. “This is your plan, isn’t it?”
He stared at Nick Fury's one eye.
Fury's face darkened.
"Captain Rogers, this is none of your business."
"Why shouldn't I interfere?" Steve stepped forward, exuding confidence. "S.H.I.E.L.D. exists to protect the world, not to threaten it with enemy weapons!"
At that moment, Tony and Dr. Banner also walked in.
“I’ll answer for him.” Tony, hands in his pockets, walked around the table with a mocking expression. “Because he never trusted us at all. He just wanted to use Dr. Banner’s knowledge of gamma rays to stabilize the Tesseract so he could mass-produce these killer toys.”
Banner pushed up his glasses, his face pale. He stared at the Hydra weapon, his breathing becoming rapid.
“Frey, you lied to me.” His voice trembled.
“I didn’t lie to you.” Fury’s gaze swept over everyone. “I just didn’t tell you everything. Loki’s appearance proved that we are not the only intelligent life in the universe, and that we are pitifully weak. We need deterrence, we need weapons!”
"Nuclear weapons are a deterrent!" Steve retorted.
"Ask Chen about that alien invasion, were nuclear weapons useful?" Fury countered.
The argument grew louder and louder, and the atmosphere on the bridge was like a string stretched to its limit.
Unbeknownst to anyone, Loki was watching the entire scene with great interest on the surveillance footage in the cell, a slight smile playing on his lips.
No one noticed that the blue gem on the scepter on the table glowed faintly.
An invisible malice acted as a catalyst, amplifying the suspicion and anger in everyone's hearts.
Dr. Banner broke out in a cold sweat.
My heart was racing, my blood felt like it was burning. The world before me began to distort, and the sounds of arguing faded into the distance.
"Doctor?" Natasha noticed that something was wrong with him.
"I'm fine." Banner gripped the edge of the table tightly, his knuckles turning white.
He tried to control it, but the green monster in his mind was roaring, trying to break free of its cage.
“All of you are like a pack of wild beasts locked in a cage.” Loki’s voice echoed across the bridge through the loudspeaker on the monitor. “And I am here to open the cage door for you.”
Banner suddenly looked up, his eyes gleaming green.
"Banner, calm down!" Steve shouted.
"Roar--!"
A roar that was not human exploded from Banner's throat.
His body swelled up like a balloon, his shirt burst from his muscles, and his skin quickly turned green.
He slammed his fist on the control panel, sparks flying. Then he turned and slapped Natasha, who was trying to approach, away.
The piercing alarm sounded throughout the entire space carrier.
As soon as Chu Hang stepped out, he saw a seven-colored beam of light descend from the sky and crash into the center of the deck.
The light faded, and Thor stood there, holding Mjolnir.
"Where is Loki?" he asked Chu Hang directly.
"Don't worry, he can't escape." Chu Hang pointed towards the bridge. "But your brother seems to have gotten into a little trouble."
No sooner had the words left his mouth than a loud bang came from below the bridge.
A large hole was torn open in the sturdy alloy deck, and a huge green creature jumped out from it.
He spotted Thor on the deck, his furious eyes locking onto his target.
"Another god?" Hulk growled, his voice like thunder.
"You big guy, you need to calm down." Thor twirled his hammer and confidently stepped forward.
"Thor, no..." Chu Hang tried to stop him, but it was too late.
Thor leaped into the air, and Mjolnir smashed down on Hulk's head.
Hulk neither dodged nor avoided, but simply raised his arm to block.
A deafening crash. Thor felt as if he had slammed into a mountain; the immense force of the impact left his arms numb.
Hulk just shook his head.
He grinned, revealing a cruel smile, and then threw a punch.
The fist was so fast that it was just a green blur.
Thor only had time to hold the hammer horizontally in front of his chest.
He was blasted away, crashing through the side railing of the mothership and disappearing into the clouds.
Thor is gone just like that.
Chu Hang shook his head.
After taking down one of them, Hulk turned his attention to Chu Hang. He pounded his chest and roared, charging forward like a runaway truck.
Chu Hang stood still, without moving.
The "Infinite Fury" ability within him was ignited by Hulk's pure rage.
An equally violent force awakened within him.
He didn't use spatial abilities or lightning.
Just a second before Hulk's fist was about to smash into his face, his fist also swung out.
Two fists of completely disproportionate size collided in mid-air.
There was only a dull, deafening roar, like two mountains colliding.
A white shockwave suddenly exploded outwards, causing the entire space carrier to shake violently.
The raging expression on Hulk's face froze.
He felt an irresistible force, purer and more violent than his own, emanating from the opponent's small fist, destroying his momentum.
For the first time, his enormous green body slid backward uncontrollably.
His feet carved two deep furrows into the deck.
"Strange, the Hulk is much stronger than last time. Is it the influence of the Mind Stone that has increased his anger level?"
Thinking of this, Chu Hang slowly lowered his fist and took a step forward.
Hulk roared and charged again.
Chu Hang did not retreat but advanced.
Fist against fist, foot against foot.
There are no techniques, no dodging, only the most primal clash of forces.
boom! boom! boom!
Each collision sent the entire mothership trembling. The deck was covered with dents and cracks left by the two men's footsteps.
But it was clear to everyone that Hulk was at a disadvantage.
Every time he attacked, the seemingly tiny figure forcefully pushed him back. The man was like a steel nail driven into the deck, completely unmoved.
"Anger alone isn't enough. I haven't even used my full strength yet."
Chu Hang thought to himself that after obtaining the divine physique, his power had increased further. At present, he just wanted to see how much power Hulk could reach under the influence of the Mind Stone.
He saw through the Hulk's attack pattern. It was all anger, no strategy.
Finally, after another exchange of punches, Chu Hang grabbed Hulk's wrist.
"No time to play for too long. Looks like you have about 50% of my current power. You can rest now, Hulk."
Hulk struggled frantically, his strength enough to overturn a tank, yet he couldn't budge the opponent's hand an inch.
Chu Hang grabbed Hulk's shoulder with his other hand, and then slammed his knee into Hulk's chest.
He let out a low growl and strained his waist.
A clean and crisp over-the-shoulder throw.
For the first time, Hulk's massive body was swung up and then slammed heavily onto the deck.
The entire mothership sank slightly.
