Chapter 850 Escape
Chapter 850 Escape
The girl began to struggle desperately, but Yang Ming held her down firmly. Taking advantage of the situation, Yang Ming took out a stone slab and placed it on the girl's skin.
"Woooo..."
As a surge of emerald green energy flowed from the stone slab into the girl's body, her previously empty eyes gradually regained their light. Her tense body slowly relaxed, as if a heavy burden had been lifted, and a trace of bewilderment flashed across her eyes.
Yang Ming released his grip, took two steps back, and observed warily. The girl braced herself against the ground and sat up unsteadily, her fingers unconsciously brushing against the skin that had once been pressed against the stone slab, where a strange, warm touch seemed to still linger.
"I..." She blinked, her voice dry and hoarse, as if she hadn't spoken in a long time, "I... what's wrong?"
She looked at the unfamiliar young man in front of her, her face full of confusion.
"Never mind that for now, quickly help me subdue your Ice Eevee!" Yang Ming shouted sharply.
The Glaceon, which had been knocked down by Gengar, stood up unsteadily. Now it was like a puppet that couldn't feel pain, sending chills down one's spine.
The girl's gaze quickly shifted to Glaceon, whose familiar icy blue form now had lifeless eyes and was struggling to launch another attack. Despite the confusion and questions still swirling in her mind, seeing her companion in this state, instinct and worry instantly overwhelmed everything.
"Glass Eevee!" she cried out, her voice becoming much clearer with urgency.
Glaceon's movements seemed to pause very slightly at her call, but it was immediately controlled by the hypnotic spell of the stag, and cold ice-type energy began to condense in its mouth.
"Hurry!" Yang Ming urged again, "Its condition is not right. We must temporarily disable it and prevent it from being controlled!"
The girl bit her lower lip, her eyes shifting from confusion to determination. She knew this wasn't the time for questions; the most urgent task was to rescue Eevee. She forced herself to concentrate, recalling the teamwork and commands she had shared with her companions during their battles.
"Glaceon, listen to me!" She raised her voice, trying to penetrate the control barrier. "Stop! Use 'Ice Breeze'... but not on us, on the ground!"
She chose a relatively gentle command that would create obstacles rather than direct harm. The Glaceon's body shimmered with a cold light, seemingly resisting the internal conflict of commands, the energy gathering in its mouth flickering. It let out a low growl mixed with pain and struggle, and finally, a biting gust of wind swept out, but instead of striking Yang Ming or the girl, it struck the ground in front of them, instantly freezing a smooth surface of ice, temporarily slowing its advance.
"Now!" the girl shouted to Yang Ming.
Yang Ming acted swiftly, with Gengar and Clefairy attacking from both sides, firmly controlling Glaceon.
Yang Ming strode forward and placed the emerald green stone tablet on Glaceon's forehead. A moment later, Glaceon trembled violently, and the cold, misty alien energy lurking within its body was drawn out by the stone tablet like a tide. The emptiness and madness in its eyes quickly faded, returning to their clear and familiar icy blue. Glaceon let out a weak whimper, its limbs went limp, and it collapsed to the ground, but its chest began to rise and fall steadily; it had simply fallen into a deep sleep from exhaustion.
"Alright, it's fine now, it just needs to rest." Yang Ming put the stone slab away, let out a long sigh of relief, and then realized that his back was soaked with cold sweat.
The girl rushed to Glaceon's side, carefully checking its condition. After confirming that her companion was simply asleep from exhaustion, her tense shoulders finally relaxed. She gently stroked Glaceon's soft fur, and tears unexpectedly streamed down her face, a mixture of fear, confusion, and relief at having found it again.
She lifted her tear-filled face and looked at Yang Ming again. This time, her gaze held less wariness and more complex gratitude and inquiry. "Who...who are you? What happened? I...I think I've forgotten something very important."
“Now is not the time to delve into these matters,” Yang Ming said solemnly. “We should deal with the ‘culprit’.”
Meanwhile, on the other side, Red Sun and two Gyarados had already suppressed the wild Pokémon army brought by the Deerclops.
Seeing that the human trainer it was controlling had slipped out of its grasp, a hint of human-like shock and anger flashed in the eyes of the stag. It let out a low growl, and the psychic light around its body fluctuated violently, as if it wanted to make a final stand.
Red Sun keenly caught the signal. His gaze sharpened, and he commanded the Gyarados beside him, "Now! Interrupt it with 'Crunch'!"
The blue Gyarados of the Crimson Sun was already poised to strike. Upon receiving the command, it pounced on the Deer with its massive body exuding a terrifying sense of oppression. Its gaping maw, wreathed in Dark-type energy, viciously bit at the Deer's antlers, which were glowing with psychic power.
The Deerclops was forced to interrupt its skill, hastily using Teleport to create distance, but its figure was already disheveled, and its breathing was erratic. It glanced at the rescued girl and Glaceon in the distance, then at the menacing Red Sun and Gyarados in front of it, and at Yang Ming who was bringing the girl over, and finally realized that the situation was hopeless.
It let out a long, unwilling cry, its four hooves stomping the ground, and a pinkish-purple psychic aura spread out from it. Under the influence of this aura, the remaining wild Pokémon's eyes blazed with ferocity, and they immediately pounced on Chi Ri and Yang Ming without regard for anything else.
"Hmph, trying to escape?" Red Sun naturally saw that the other party wanted to use these wild Pokémon as cannon fodder to create an opportunity for him to escape. "Crow Leader, use Heat Wave, Weaver, Triple Spin!"
The two Pokémon's attack was quite fierce, quickly defeating a large number of wild Pokémon that came to their aid. However, some "roadblocks" were still very difficult to deal with, such as the Tank Skunk.
Bang bang bang bang!
As Crowleader and Weavile defeated numerous wild Pokémon, the defeated Tank Skunks also triggered their Detonate ability. A series of muffled explosions erupted, and a pungent, nauseating stench mixed with the smoke and dust of the energy bursts instantly enveloped the battlefield. These Tank Skunks, controlled by Deviljho's mind, instinctively activated their final "weapon" before falling. Thick purple poisonous smoke and acrid gas spread like living things, not only obscuring vision but also causing continuous damage to creatures within the area.
"Cough cough!" Red Sun frowned, quickly raising his hand to cover his mouth and nose, and took two steps back. Gyarados let out a dissatisfied roar, its massive body churning in the poisonous mist, yet it was still inevitably affected. Manuela and the Crow leader visibly faltered, their offensive interrupted by the sudden harsh environment.
Seizing the moment of chaos, the stag's eyes flashed with a cold glint of triumphant cunning. It ceased its fight, its hooves radiating an even brighter, more powerful light, clearly preparing to flee.
But at that moment, a huge object flew towards it!
