Chapter 72: Another new audience arrives; will we be able to see Sasuke's dream?
The members of Class 7 continued forward.
Naruto was so excited that his face turned red, and he was skipping and hopping around, chattering incessantly.
After all, Kakashi-sensei told him that he had just personally defeated a Jonin!
Sasuke walked to the side with his arms crossed, seemingly ignoring Naruto's chatter, occasionally letting out a "humph" to show his annoyance.
However, in reality, Sasuke's heart was also filled with unease.
My own abilities have also been greatly improved!
If he hadn't learned advanced illusion techniques from his brother in his dream, he wouldn't have been able to perform so well against Zabuza.
Thinking of this, Sasuke's eyes burned with fervor: "Next time it's my turn in the dream, I'll definitely get my brother to teach me even stronger ninjutsu!"
Having just encountered a formidable enemy like Zabuza on the road, the group was now on high alert.
After the perilous battle, everyone was on edge, ready to deal with the next possible attack.
However, the rest of the journey turned out to be surprisingly smooth.
Along the way, they encountered no stronger enemies, and even no small-scale harassment.
Only a few crows flew across the sky, cawing softly.
This smooth sailing made Naruto, who had been all fired up and ready to make a big splash, feel somewhat disappointed.
As the sun set, the group from Class 7 stopped to set up camp and rest in a clearing in the woods.
Naruto listlessly fiddled with the firewood in his hands, muttering a complaint, "How come we haven't encountered a single decent enemy along the way..."
"I wish a few more formidable opponents would come and give me some space. I want to prove once again that even without Sasuke's help, I can still take on ten at once!"
Hearing Naruto's complaint, Tazuna almost jumped up in fright. He quickly waved his hand and advised, "Little brother, don't say that! Isn't it great that the mission can be completed smoothly? Please don't let any more enemies come! I'm too old to be scared."
The old man was clearly quite startled by Naruto's dangerous remarks, and couldn't help but break out in a cold sweat.
He certainly didn't want to experience another attack like that.
Kakashi shook his head and sighed, "Alright, Naruto, don't be too greedy and reckless. Successfully escorting Mr. Tazuna to his destination is the best outcome. Don't forget, the three of you are all my students. I don't want an even more dangerous enemy to emerge after Buza, forcing me to risk my life to protect you."
Sakura flicked Naruto on the forehead and scolded, "Kakashi-sensei is right, I really don't understand what you're thinking..."
Sasuke turned his head away, barely suppressing a smile, and coldly uttered two words: "Idiot."
"Ouch! Sakura, be gentle, it hurts!"
Naruto covered his head, then touched his stomach.
"Um, I'm hungry, I'll go check if the ramen is ready..."
Seeing Naruto's carefree attitude, Sakura smiled helplessly.
Before long, it got completely dark.
As Naruto crawled into his sleeping bag, he muttered, "Seriously, Sakura hit me way too hard...it hurts so much..."
Despite his complaints, after a long day and a hearty meal, he quickly fell into a deep sleep.
Outside the tent, the campfire crackled softly, illuminating half of Kakashi's profile as he kept watch.
After Kakashi made sure everyone was settled, he relaxed and sat down against the tree trunk, gazing absently into the dark night sky, seemingly lost in thought.
Suddenly, he stood up and used a spirit communication spell...
Night deepened.
Naruto felt as if he had only closed his eyes for a short while before his consciousness awoke from its slumber once more.
In the darkness, he subconsciously looked around, yawning and muttering, "Hmm? Today..."
Before he could finish speaking, he suddenly froze. Where were the tent and sleeping bag in front of him?
Instead, a familiar, enormous theater has been set up!
The theater was dark and quiet.
Naruto stood in the empty corridor and looked down to find that he was still dressed the way he had when he fell asleep.
"Tch, here we go again!" Naruto immediately realized what was happening and couldn't help but complain, "Damn it, it wasn't me today!"
As Naruto was lost in thought, he suddenly heard a surprised female voice behind him: "Where am I?"
Her voice was sweet but tinged with panic. Naruto was taken aback and quickly turned to look.
A slender figure appeared in the dark seating area.
It was a girl with long, light blonde hair, who was looking around warily.
She was wearing a light purple loungewear set, the soft silk pajamas outlining the girl's well-developed curves.
Her blonde hair was tied up in a high ponytail at the back of her head, and her bangs hanging down in front of her forehead were slightly messy, which set off her pair of lake-blue eyes.
The girl's pretty face was filled with confusion and nervousness.
"Ino?!"
Sakura immediately gasped when she arrived.
She looked at it again in disbelief, making sure she wasn't seeing things.
The person who came was none other than her childhood best friend and nemesis, Yamanaka Ino.
Sakura never expected that Ino would be in the audience today.
"Ino, you... what are you doing here?" Sakura quickly ran to Ino's side and looked her up and down.
"How am I supposed to know where I am?!" Ino's tense nerves relaxed slightly upon seeing Sakura, but she still couldn't hide her panic. "Sakura, is this some kind of prank?"
She was clearly confused.
Ino was sleeping soundly in her own bed when she suddenly found herself in this dark and eerie place, which terrified her.
She was both surprised and puzzled when she suddenly bumped into Sakura.
Sakura rolled her eyes: "Please, Ino, how could this possibly be me—"
As soon as she spoke, she realized that the two of them had fallen into their habitual bickering mode again, so she stopped talking and calmed herself down.
There's no point in arguing with Ino at a time like this. Sakura took a deep breath and explained seriously, "Listen to me, Ino, we were all brought here for no reason. For many days now, we've been coming to this eerie theater every night to watch... um... tonight we're watching Sasuke's dream."
She tried her best to explain everything she knew to Ino, including their speculation that this place might be some kind of magic or barrier, that they hadn't yet found a way to leave, and the content of the dreams they had seen in the past few days.
Sakura speaks very quickly, trying to keep things brief so that Ino can understand the current situation.
Although she was quite annoyed with Ino, she still adhered to principles and told her the whole story.
Ino listened blankly at first, but when Sakura mentioned "Sasuke's dream," her attention was immediately drawn: "You mean...we can see Sasuke-kun's dream here?!"
