Chapter 109: Conspiracy!
Chapter 109: Conspiracy!
Picking up where we left off, in order to acquire a large enough ship, Luffy and his crew arrived at Usopp's village. There, the four of them met Usopp, a long-nosed boy in the village, who turned out to be the son of Yasopp, a member of the Red-Haired Pirates. While Luffy and the others were looking for the person who could provide a large ship, Usopp made an excuse and left.
Later, they learned from Usopp's three underlings why Usopp had suddenly left, so Luffy and his crew followed the three children to the villa on the mountaintop...
According to the children, "Every day at this time, Usopp comes to the villa to tell stories to the villa's owner, Ms. Kaya. Because Kaya's parents suddenly passed away and she is ill and unable to go out, Usopp comes here every day to tell her interesting stories, making her laugh out loud..."
Luffy understood what had happened and said confidently, "That guy is pretty good too..."
Upon hearing this, Goten sensed something was amiss. Sure enough, the next second Luffy stretched out his arms and grabbed the fence, preparing to force his way in. Zoro, Nami, and the three children rushed forward to try and stop Luffy, but they all ended up flying into the air with him before crashing heavily to the ground...
The sudden intrusion of the group interrupted Usopp and Kaya, who were having a lively conversation. Looking at Luffy and his crew, Usopp asked in surprise, "What are you doing here?"
Kaya then asked Usopp, "Usopp, who are they?"
Upon hearing this, Usopp immediately replied, "They are all my newly acquired underlings..."
Upon hearing this, Luffy immediately retorted, "What are you talking about? We're not your underlings. We're here to find someone who can build a big ship. Usopp, can the girl next to you give us a ship?"
Upon seeing this, Goten immediately leaped into the inner courtyard and decisively delivered a powerful blow to Luffy's head, shouting, "Idiot! You were too blunt! At least try to negotiate a discount, wouldn't you? Who would be stupid enough to give you a ship for free after what you just said!"
Upon hearing this, Nami immediately retorted, "Wait a minute, Goten, you said you'd buy it with money, where did you get the money?"
Upon hearing this, Goten immediately affirmed, "Didn't we rob Bucky the Clown of his treasure? We can just take some and use it. Anyway, money is something you can keep..."
Before she could finish speaking, Nami retorted, "What did you say! That's my money! If you want a ship, go earn the money yourselves. My money has more important uses!"
Seeing Nami's heated words, Goten smiled and tried to ease the tension: "Don't say that... At worst, after we get the ship, we can just rob other pirates of their treasure again, right? Don't worry about the money..."
Before she could finish speaking, Nami's eyes turned bloodshot as she glared at Goten, her voice filled with a deathly threat as she warned, "Shut up!!! Kid, just stay put. If you don't behave, I'm going to spank you!"
Upon hearing this, Goten immediately jumped onto Zoro, his voice trembling as he said, "Zoro, save me, Nami is terrifying..."
Zoro was speechless upon seeing this...
The group, still discussing their plans, were caught red-handed by the butler, Krabatel, who sternly reprimanded Luffy and his crew: "You lot, how dare you trespass on private property..."
Upon hearing this, Wutian immediately apologized: "I'm sorry, that was indeed a bit impolite. I'm really sorry for bothering you."
However, Krabatel continued his tirade: "Especially you, Usopp, who has repeatedly bothered Miss Kaya. I heard your father is a bastard pirate who abandoned his family..." Kaya immediately told Krabatel to shut up, but he ignored her and continued to mock her: "As expected, pirate children are just as ill-mannered..."
Upon hearing this, Usopp flew into a rage, leaping down from the tree and punching Krabatel in the face, knocking off his glasses. Usopp shouted back, "You're not allowed to insult my father! My father is a man who bravely sailed the seas with a great spirit of adventure, and I've always looked up to him..."
However, Krabatel simply put his glasses back on and continued his provocation: "As expected of a pirate's child, he's just as unreasonable as a pirate. But for Miss Kaya's sake, please leave here..."
Kaya wanted to apologize to Usopp, but Usopp was clearly angered and said defiantly, "Fine, then I won't come here again. Goodbye, Kaya." With that, he left the villa...
Seeing this, Luffy and his crew had no choice but to leave temporarily. Luffy chased after Usopp in the direction he was going, while the others, including Goten, leaned against the roadside and discussed what to do next.
After chasing Usopp away, Kaya also scolded Krabatel for his behavior: "Krabatel, what you said just now was really too much. Why did you say such hurtful things!"
Krabatel comforted her, saying, "I'm sorry, Miss Koya, but to fulfill your parents' dying wish of ensuring your safety, I must guarantee that no dangerous individuals will be around you..."
Kaya had no further rebuttal upon hearing this, after all, Krabatel was only concerned for his own safety. So Kaya could only continue to focus on recovering. Krabatel then suggested going out for a while, and Kaya quietly agreed.

Goten, Nami, Zoro, and three children were idly strolling around when they suddenly spotted a strange man walking backwards. Staring blankly at this odd fellow, Goten sensed that the man's identity was not simple…
Looking at Zoro and his group, the other person inexplicably introduced himself loudly: "You guys, what's with those expressions? Are you captivated by my Zango's handsomeness?"
Upon hearing this, Wutian immediately shouted, "What are you suddenly being so sentimental about! And are you crazy? Walking backwards!"
Upon hearing this, Zango immediately became angry. He pulled out a ring and began shaking it, saying, "When I shout '1, 2, Zango!' you will all fall asleep. 1, 2, Zango!" Then Zango and the three children all fell to the ground and fell asleep...
Seeing this, Goten laughed speechlessly, then punched Zango awake and chased him away to keep him out of his sight...

Meanwhile, Luffy and Usopp were on a hillside by the shore, sharing their understanding of pirates. As they chatted, they gradually became acquainted. Suddenly, they heard a voice coming from down the hillside. When they looked over, they saw the butler, Krabatel, talking to a man wearing red heart-shaped sunglasses...
The man in heart-shaped sunglasses addressed Krabatel as Captain Kuro, and the two were discussing attacking the village early the next morning. Luffy and Usopp overheard their plot, and Luffy immediately shouted, "You two! How dare you plot to attack the village! You're so wicked!"
However, Luffy's reckless behavior was quickly met with Django's hypnosis, which put Luffy to sleep. The sleeping Luffy immediately fell off the hillside, and Usopp, seeing this, ran away, deciding to inform everyone in the village of Kuro's plot...
