Chapter 186 Want to Watch the Show
Chapter 186 Want to Watch the Show
Hua Ling prayed that someone would discover this place, but she was also afraid of encountering someone with ill intentions.
"Go wash your face and clear your head."
She felt around for the stones beside her and slowly stood up, but since she couldn't see anything, her hand was cut by a slightly protruding stone.
Hua Ling seemed to have gotten used to it, and blew a breath on herself in the darkness to make herself feel better.
Shisui could hardly believe her eyes. Her name was... her clothes were filthy and disheveled, her hair was covered in grass clippings, and her exposed skin was covered in wounds.
"What is this? There didn't seem to be anything here before." Hua Ling looked puzzled, then touched her eyes and they lit up. "Zhi Shui, is that you?"
"It's me. What happened to your eyes?" Zhi Shui's face was full of heartache, unable to imagine how she had spent this time.
"Your eyes... you've gone blind because of what you saw." Hua Ling didn't want Shisui to feel guilty, so she spoke lightly as if it were something unimportant. Then she asked, "By the way, how's things in Konoha?"
The more she felt this way, the more heartbroken she became. Ignoring the fact that the person before her was a famous figure, she hugged him tightly, saying, "I'm sorry I'm late!"
"Don't touch me, I'm sure I smell really bad and I'm really dirty right now!" Hua Ling complained about herself with great disgust.
Upon hearing this, Shisui felt even more heartbroken and hugged him even tighter.
"Shisui, do you have no sense of smell?"
"I want to take a shower!"
Hua Ling nudged Zhi Shui and uttered a muffled sound.
Zhi Shui blushed slightly and released her. "I'll go prepare it for you!" She must have been holding back for a long time, being a bit of a germaphobe.
"You don't need to lead me to the hot spring. I can find my way there myself. Just make sure your clothes are ready." Hua Ling said this simply to prove her ability; she meant nothing else.
This only made Shisui feel even worse; she had never suffered like this before.
"From now on, I will be your eyes until you are fully healed," he said, holding Hua Ling's hand tightly.
"I'm glad you said that, but aren't you going back to Konoha?" She still wanted to see Shisui become Hokage, so how could she stay by her side forever?
After a long silence, Zhi Shui finally spoke, "I won't go back for now. I think you need me more."
"Actually, I don't really need it. Just send me back to Daming Prefecture. There will be someone to take care of me."
"Serve?" Zhi Shui's face darkened immediately upon hearing these two words. Who knew if someone would do something while she wasn't looking? Her identity would be easily exposed, and it would be even more dangerous if others found out. He would never allow such a thing to happen. He would serve her himself.
Shisui immediately said, "I can't agree to this. I've made my decision and I won't change it. Even if you want to get rid of me, I won't leave."
Hua Ling, feeling helpless, gave up trying to persuade him further. In her heart, she naturally hoped that Zhi Shui would stay.
Minato Namikaze is still young, and it's too early for Shisui to become Hokage.
Hua Ling hadn't had a proper bath in almost a month, and she was incredibly happy soaking in the hot spring.
"Daimyo, half an hour has passed. Soaking in the hot spring for too long is not good." Shisui reminded him when the time was up.
Hua Ling pretended not to hear. She hadn't taken a bath in so long, how could half an hour be enough?
Zhi Shui seemed to have anticipated Hua Ling's indifference. "If you don't come out, I'll have to use force."
"Forced means?" Hua Ling didn't care at all when she heard that. She didn't believe that Zhi Shui could have any means. Then she submerged herself in the hot spring water.
"I'm sorry." Suddenly, Hua Ling was wrapped in a bathrobe, and the next second she was pulled out.
"Put your clothes here and change first. I'm going out." Zhi Shui turned and left with a slightly flushed face. Even though he was fast, he still saw a lot of things he shouldn't have seen.
Hua Ling was still a little dazed. After regaining her senses, she complained to Zhi Shui before groping for the clothes placed beside her. It took her about ten minutes to put them on.
"Zhishui, can you check if I'm dressed properly?" Hualing said as she came out.
Zhi Shui turned around, her cheeks instantly flushing red. After calming herself down, she stepped forward to straighten her clothes. "I'll prepare short-sleeved shirts for you from now on. Cardigans and robes can be worn when you're better."
Hua Ling nodded and had no objection, since it was indeed difficult to wear when one couldn't see.
"Oh, right, Zhishui, you need to prepare some bandages for me," she suddenly remembered and instructed.
"Bandage? Are you injured somewhere?" Shisui immediately became anxious.
"No, I need to disguise myself when I get back to Daming Prefecture, it's too obvious here." Hua Ling pointed to her chest and spoke frankly.
"Oh, I see!"
"I...I understand," Shisui stammered.
He was also thinking about another question: wasn't it uncomfortable to be restrained like this?
Shisui thought for a moment and then said, "Daimyo, I went back to Daming Prefecture before I came here. Everything is running according to your plan. You can go back in a while."
"I see. Then there's no rush to go back. I'd like to continue investigating the situation here."
"I wonder if all the Cloud Village ninjas have left, whether there are still any ninjas mixed in with the villages, and what the situation is of the people in the villages."
Shisui hadn't expected that she was still concerned about what was happening in the valley. "Daimyo, Konoha sent people over some time ago to resolve the issue, so it seems that everything in the valley has returned to normal."
"Do you want to go take a look?"
Zhi Shui immediately realized she had said the wrong thing. She couldn't see him now, yet she had touched a sore spot. Just as she was about to make amends, Hua Ling spoke up, "Okay, even though I can't see, I can still feel it."
"Zhishui, shall we go now?" she said coquettishly, tugging at Zhishui's clothes.
“Okay, we’ll use the previous identity.” Zhi Shui had never seen Hua Ling act like this before, so he readily agreed.
"Okay, brother." Hua Ling switched identities very quickly and called out sweetly.
Zhi Shui blushed and turned his head away, then, regaining his composure, took her hand and left.
Because Hua Ling couldn't see, she kept tripping over things. Despite Zhi Shui's reminders, Zhi Shui eventually picked her up and carried her horizontally. Otherwise, they probably wouldn't have arrived before dark.
However, he didn't go to the village in the stream, but instead came to a small town.
Once inside, listening to the footsteps of people coming and going, Hua Ling guessed, "Brother, this doesn't seem like a village."
"This is a small town not far from the stream. I've come here to buy some things," Shisui explained.
"I see..."
"What smells so good? I want to eat it." Having not had proper food in a long time, Hua Ling couldn't help but lick her lips when she smelled the aroma.
"I'll take you there to buy it right now." Zhi Shui held her hand tightly, his eyes full of doting affection.
After eating, Hua Ling squinted her eyes contentedly.
Suddenly, the street became agitated, and one could faintly hear someone saying that they were going to throw a bouquet to choose a husband.
"Brother, let's go see what's going on!" Hua Ling said indistinctly, taking a bite of the meat pie in her hand, her face full of curiosity.
Zhi Shui didn't want to take her to a place with so many people, but Hua Ling looked so pitiful, "With him protecting her, she should be fine."
The two had just arrived at the location and were about to begin.
After listening for a while, Hua Ling asked, "Brother, is that Miss Han pretty?"
Shisui had absolutely no interest in this, but obediently glanced at the three-story-high area and said, "You can't tell because of the veil!"
"I see. Brother, can you see it with your Sharingan?" Hua Ling asked quietly in a low voice.
As soon as she finished speaking, Hua Ling was flicked on the forehead. "Idiot, that's not how you use the Sharingan. It doesn't have any X-ray vision."
"I know." Hua Ling angrily ate the last bite of the sesame seed cake in her hand. "Has Zhi Shui forgotten her name? How dare he flick her forehead and call her an idiot."
