When Shu Chang woke up, the unfamiliar soreness in her body made her recall the events of the previous night the moment she regained consciousness, and her cheeks immediately burned.
She instinctively curled up, only to find herself tightly embraced in a warm hug.
Fu Yibai was behind her, his arm across her waist, his breathing even and steady, clearly still asleep.

Shu Chang blushed again and buried her face in the pillow.
Fu Yibai responded, then released her and got out of bed.
He casually slipped on trousers and a shirt, walked to the window, and pulled back the curtains.
Bright sunlight streamed in instantly, dispelling the gloom in the room.
Shu Chang lifted her head from under the pillow and looked at Fu Yibai's tall and straight back in the sunlight, a strange feeling welling up in her heart.
She took a deep breath, propped herself up, and wrapped herself in the blanket.
Fu Yibai turned around, looked at her, and his eyes were calm.
"Can you get up? If not, I'll have Sisi bring your breakfast in."
"Need not."
Shu Chang quickly shook her head, her voice still a little hoarse.
"I can do it, Mr. Fu."
"In private, you can just call me the same way you call Sisi."
Fu Yibai walked to the bedside and reached out to rub her hair.
"Pack up and let's go out for dinner."
He walked out of the room and gently closed the door.
Shu Chang sat on the bed for a while before slowly and somewhat awkwardly getting off.
She picked up her clothes scattered on the floor, put them on one by one, and then went into the bathroom.
The reflection in the mirror showed a flushed face and a hint of tenderness in her eyes, a tenderness she herself was unaware of, that came with being a newlywed.
She washed her face with cold water, tidied her hair, and made sure she looked normal before opening the door.
Inside the restaurant, Liu Yifei was sitting at the table, resting her chin on her hands, smiling as she watched Shu Chang walk over.
"Sing, sit here."
She patted the spot next to her.
Shu Chang blushed and walked over to sit down. Fu Yibai was already sitting opposite her, holding a bowl of porridge.
Several plates of refreshing side dishes and freshly baked char siu buns were laid out on the table.
Liu Yifei leaned close to Shu Chang's ear and asked in a voice only the two of them could hear.
"How was it? I didn't lie to you, did I? Isn't Brother Yibai very gentle?"
Shu Chang's ears turned bright red instantly. She reached under the table and gently pinched Liu Yifei's thigh, giving her a reproachful glare.
Liu Yifei wasn't annoyed at all, and cheerfully put a char siu bao on her plate.
"Eat more to nourish your body."
Fu Yibai watched the two girls' subtle movements, a slight smile curving his lips, but he didn't interrupt.
After breakfast, Zhang Xinyu came to pick up Fu Yibai.
The two arrived at the company's underground parking garage and found many unfamiliar cars parked there.
Are there auditions at the company today?
"Yes, Mr. Fu, today is the audition for 'The Empress of China'."
The two took the elevator to the office.
After working on documents in his office for more than half an hour, Fu Yibai got up and walked outside.

Just then, General Manager Lin informed me that auditions were being held for "The Empress of China," and asked me to come and give it a try.
