Chapter 630: Revelation
Chapter 630: Revelation
Peter frowned slightly deeper.
Beside him, Adriana quietly watched the situation unfold while already sensing that something very interesting was about to happen.
At that moment, Mr. Richardson suddenly interrupted coldly.
"Perhaps he discovered where the meeting was taking place and came here intentionally to create an opportunity to meet Ms. Dawn."
The moment those words fell, Peter’s expression remained calm.
"I honestly don’t understand what you’re talking about," he replied flatly. "The person who invited me here was Adriana’s sister. She merely wanted to speak with us."
He looked directly at them.
"So I truly don’t understand what exactly you mean."
Hearing that response, Mr. Richardson immediately became furious.
"Stop pretending!" he shouted angrily.
He was just about to continue insulting Peter even further when suddenly... Click.
The private room door slowly opened.
The moment Aurora walked inside, the entire atmosphere changed instantly.
Aurora had already ensured beforehand that everyone present signed strict NDAs.
Thus, at this moment, she entered without any disguise, without any veil, and without hiding her true appearance.
Her real face was revealed completely before everyone.
Emily silently followed behind her like a shadow.
The instant Adriana saw Aurora’s face openly revealed, she froze in complete shock.
She never expected her sister would actually expose her true identity personally.
Meanwhile, Joy, Eliana, and Mr. Richardson all became completely stunned.
Aurora calmly walked across the room before elegantly sitting down.
Then she crossed her legs gracefully and glanced toward everyone present.
"Why," she asked coldly, "are my guests being scolded right now?"
Her icy voice instantly caused the room to become deathly silent.
Mr. Richardson reacted first.
A flattering smile immediately appeared on his face as he hurriedly stepped forward.
"Ms. Dawn," he said nervously, "you are misunderstanding the situation. These two only entered because they learned we were meeting here. I was merely teaching them some manners."
He forced out a laugh.
"Please ignore their existence so we can discuss our cooperation peacefully."
However, before he could continue speaking further, Aurora slowly raised her hand.
"Stop."
Her voice turned colder instantly.
"Did I ask for your opinion?"
The room froze.
Then Aurora slowly turned toward Adriana.
The coldness in her eyes vanished completely, replaced by a warm and affectionate smile.
"Sister," Aurora said gently, "you tell me what happened."
The moment Mr. Richardson saw the sweetness in Aurora’s expression toward Adriana, a terrifying sense of dread instantly rose inside his heart.
Adriana quickly recounted everything that had happened.
When she finally finished speaking, silence descended upon the room.
Aurora slowly nodded before lifting her gaze toward the utterly miserable group standing before her.
"This is a very grave offense," Aurora spoke softly, yet every single word carried terrifying pressure.
"From what I remember, I never gave any of you permission to disrespect my sister or my brother-in-law."
The moment those words left her lips, Joy hurriedly stepped forward.
"Ms. Dawn, I understand that our manners were rude, but for Eliana’s sake, could you please let us off this once?"
The instant he spoke those words, Eliana’s face turned deathly pale.
Meanwhile, Aurora suddenly chuckled.
"Eliana?" Aurora tilted her head slightly before smiling faintly. "Am I even related to her? Why should I let you off the hook because of her?"
The moment those words entered everyone’s ears, Joy froze completely.
He slowly turned toward Adriana with disbelief written all over his face.
’What is going on here...? Aren’t they acquaintance...?’
Meanwhile, Eliana immediately forced herself to calm down.
"Ms. Dawn, please don’t act as if you don’t know me. We are..."
Before she could even finish speaking, Aurora interrupted her with another amused chuckle.
"Oh?" Aurora leaned lazily against the couch. "Then what is my real name?"
The moment that question was asked, Eliana froze stiffly.
She did not even know who Ms. Dawn truly was. How could she possibly know her real identity?
Seeing her remain silent, Joy immediately understood everything.
His expression darkened instantly.
Without hesitation, he suddenly lifted his hand and slapped Eliana hard across the face.
Smack!
Eliana staggered backward as her cheek instantly turned red.
Meanwhile, Aurora’s eyes instantly turned colder.
The impression she had of Joy plummeted even further.
’A man who throws away others the moment things go wrong... truly disgusting.’
Joy quickly turned toward Aurora before forcing out a stiff smile.
"I apologize for everything I said earlier and for anything that may have offended you. Trust me, I only wanted to stay on good terms with you."
As he spoke, he pointed toward Peter.
"Because of this guy, we have already lost many things. We simply hoped you would be a little more accommodating."
Aurora merely shook her head slowly.
"You did not lose because of him," she replied calmly. "You lost because you chose to believe a piece of paper more than emotions."
Those words instantly caused Joy’s face to stiffen.
With that, Aurora turned toward Mr. Richardson.
"Has the relationship between you and Peter been severed?"
Mr. Richardson immediately nodded respectfully. "Yes, Miss."
Aurora then shifted her gaze toward Peter.
"I heard you recently started preparing to open your own company."
Peter subconsciously nodded.
He still had not fully recovered from shock.
Seeing his dazed expression, Aurora suddenly chuckled softly.
"In that case, I will invest five hundred million dollars into your company," she stated casually, as if she were discussing the weather.
"I will also provide assistance. Light Corporation can become your first client."
The instant those words were spoken, everyone froze in place.
Their minds went blank.
Light Corporation?
The recently famous Light Corporation?
How could it possibly have any relation to her?
A terrifying thought suddenly appeared inside Mr. Richardson’s mind, yet he instinctively refused to believe it.
He forced out a fake laugh before looking toward Aurora.
"I understand that you wish to support Peter, Ms. Dawn, but at least think before speaking. How could someone from Light Corporation cooperate with a person like him? He is practically just a broke person."
The moment those words fell, the door to the lounge was suddenly pushed open.
Click.
Everyone reflexively turned toward the entrance.
A handsome man in a luxurious suit quickly walked inside. The moment he noticed Aurora sitting there, his eyes lit up immediately.
He hurried toward her before revealing an extremely flattering smile.
"I’m really sorry for being late today, everybody. Traffic was horrible."
As he spoke, he nervously rubbed his hands together before looking at Aurora cautiously.
"Boss, please don’t punish me for this."
He even let out an awkward laugh afterward.
The moment everyone saw this scene, their entire bodies went numb.
Because the person standing before them was none other than Light Corporation’s CEO, Ian.
Who could have imagined that such a powerful figure would actually appear here and speak to Aurora with such flattering respect?
At that moment, everyone slowly turned toward Aurora with horrified expressions.
A terrifying realization surfaced inside their minds simultaneously.
This woman... was the mysterious investor behind Light Corporation.
The moment that thought appeared, only one sentence remained inside everyone’s minds.
’We are doomed.’
This was especially true for Mr. Richardson, Joy, and Eliana.
Their faces had already lost all color.
Meanwhile, Aurora merely chuckled softly.
"Let me introduce everyone."
She gestured toward Ian casually.
"This is Ian, my business partner."
Then she turned toward Peter and Adriana.
"This is my brother-in-law, and beside him is my sister. My brother-in-law plans to open a company and currently needs a client. Would Light Corporation be interested?"
Hearing those words, Ian didn’t even hesitate before nodding.
"Of course I am interested. Who doesn’t know that Miss Dawn’s judgment is superior to everyone else’s?"
As he spoke those words, genuine admiration appeared inside his eyes.
Ever since he started working together with Miss Dawn, not once had he regretted it.
Whenever he encountered problems, Aurora would always protect him from the shadows and ensure he was never cornered by others.
The resources she provided were unimaginably top-notch, to the point where even he sometimes felt disbelief.
Back then, he had never imagined that his company could one day reach a trillion-dollar market valuation.
Yet it had happened.
And all of it was because Miss Dawn had seen potential in him from the very beginning.
Ian still vividly remembered the first time he saw Aurora’s true face.
At that time, he had been utterly stunned.
Because the mysterious and terrifying Miss Dawn whom countless people feared was actually nothing more than an eighteen-year-old girl.
At first, he had even suspected Aurora was merely a decoy created by the real Miss Dawn.
However, that ridiculous assumption disappeared completely after he spoke with her during one of their meetings.
The maturity hidden behind her calm eyes, her terrifying intelligence, and her ability to predict opportunities far ahead of others completely convinced him.
From that moment onward, Ian understood one thing clearly.
As long as he followed Miss Dawn, he would never suffer losses.
With a relaxed smile, Ian turned toward Peter.
