Father Weiss suddenly understood, “Alright, I will prepare the clergy right now and ensure they won’t disturb you.”
Du Wei frowned, “Also, take Josh’s family with them.”
Father Weiss, puzzled, asked, “Aren’t they being targeted by the Evil Spirit? Why should we take them away?”
Du Wei said coldly, “Because the target of that Evil Spirit is them. What you need to ensure now is that when night falls, the entire church besides me will have only Josh.”
Father Weiss found this stranger still, “Should I inform Josh?”
Du Wei shook his head, “He mustn’t know, but you can tell him that the exorcism happens one person at a time, and therefore each person has to stay alone in a room.”
With teeth gritted, Father Weiss said, “I understand, Your Excellency. I’ll get on it right away.”
Du Wei hummed in response and waved him off.
After Father Weiss left,
Du Wei’s expression turned very cold.
Without anyone around, this was his true state now.
“Even if you don’t say it, I can roughly guess what you dreamt about last night.”
“You dreamt you killed your family.”
“You think what you dreamt of was the Evil Spirit possessing you, but in fact, it has never left you.”
Looking at his right hand, Du Wei slowly stretched it out and then clenched it.
The mark on the back of his hand, resembling a pointer, had dimmed significantly after last activating his Marking Ability.
