Chapter 127 Sword Revenant VII

Chapter 127 Sword Revenant VII

The Sword Revenant's transformation completed with a deafening roar that sent a wave of dark energy across the chamber. His monstrous form loomed over the trio, a grotesque amalgamation of sinew, armor, and shadow. The jagged blade in his hand pulsed with necrotic energy, warping the space around it.@@@@

"I am eternal!" he bellowed, his voice echoing with malevolent power. "You cannot defeat me, for death itself bows before me!"

Drake stepped forward, his sword glowing brighter as he activated Stellar Resonance, an ability that synchronized with Milly and Liam's magic. "Eternal or not, you're going down," he said, his calm confidence unwavering.

The Revenant wasted no time, swinging his massive blade in a wide arc. The sheer force of the attack sent shockwaves tearing through the chamber, obliterating the few remaining undead caught in its path.

Drake dashed forward, weaving through the destruction with precision. He countered with Luminous Barrage, a rapid series of strikes infused with celestial energy. Each hit left glowing marks on the Revenant's armor, weakening its defenses.

Milly raised her staff, channeling Solar Ascendance. A massive pillar of light descended from above, slamming into the Revenant and forcing him to stumble back. The radiant energy burned through his dark aura, creating an opening.

"Liam, hit him now!" Milly shouted.

Liam grinned, his staff glowing with blood-red energy. He cast Sanguine Chains, binding the Revenant's limbs with tendrils of crimson energy. The chains tightened with each passing second, sapping the Revenant's strength and restricting his movements.

The Revenant roared in fury, swinging his blade wildly to break free. The dark energy radiating from him intensified, causing cracks to form in the chamber walls. "You think you can bind me? I'll show you the futility of your efforts!"

With a burst of power, he shattered the chains and unleashed Abyssal Cataclysm, a devastating wave of dark magic that filled the chamber. The trio barely managed to shield themselves—Drake using his sword to deflect the brunt of the attack, Milly casting Radiant Barrier, and Liam summoning a protective blood dome.

Liam chuckled, wiping sweat from his brow. "Let's hope the rewards are worth it."

As the trio approached the remnants of the Revenant's throne, a radiant chest materialized, glowing with the promise of powerful treasures.

Brook and Yelena finished off the last of the Abyssal Knights and Death Liches, standing amidst the remnants of the fierce battle. Yelena exhaled heavily, brushing some dirt off her armor. "They're too strong," she said, her voice carrying both admiration and disbelief.

Brook nodded, his molten-blooded aura fading as he sheathed his weapon. "I'm glad I invited them," he replied, his tone filled with a mix of relief and respect.

Yelena glanced at him, tilting her head. "What about the reward?" she asked, her eyes narrowing slightly.

Brook fell silent for a moment, his expression conflicted. He wanted to give the trio everything they deserved, especially after witnessing their strength and teamwork. But he is also an guild leader who wants to give his guild members the reward for their hard work. Torn between the two choices he thought for a moment and then sighed ' It's better to have them as allies' he thought as he decided to give them the most of the rewards from this raid.

After a long pause, Brook finally spoke. "I'll give them more than just the reward for the boss's head," he said, his voice resolute but tinged with nervousness. "They've earned it."

Yelena observed him quietly, sensing the underlying tension. She understood his thoughts—partially a gesture of goodwill, partially an acknowledgment of their friendship, and partially a subtle attempt to stay on their good side.

As the duo made their way toward the trio to distribute the spoils, Brook's decision marked a turning point in his perspective. He wasn't just respecting their abilities; he was ensuring that their alliance remained intact, knowing full well the consequences of being on the wrong side of such formidable individuals.

The trio stood at the center of the battlefield, their calm demeanor starkly contrasting with the devastation around them. Drake sheathed his longsword, its runes dimming as the magic settled. Milly adjusted her bow, glancing at the fading remains of the undead legion, while Liam inspected his staff, the blood-red patterns still faintly glowing from his recent spells.
