Chapter 176 Next Trial

Chapter 176 Next Trial

[You have completed the Trial.]

The moment the words appeared, the Legacy Book's pages began to tremble.

[Ayessh, you actually made it?!]

[Damn, either you have some seriously good eyes—which I now remember you do—or you're a heaven-sent talent.]

[Creating an entirely new potion in just six months? Even I took over years to make new ones.]

[Well, whatever. I was just checking whether you had the spark to create something unique or not. But you ended up concocting one! Congrats on passing with flying colors—not that I actually know what that means.]

[Anyway, the next trial will unlock after five months. Until then, do whatever you want.]

With that, the glowing words faded, and the Legacy Book returned to normal.

"Hmm, so he just wanted to see me do it... weird guy," Leon mumbled, shaking his head.

Roselia smirked. "I was wondering why the difficulty was so high—turns out it wasn't." She then added, "Though it's good we ended up creating a new potion. This way, you can register it under your name, and every time someone buys it, you'll get 10% of the sales."

"Damn, so that means those guys who made their own potion are filthy rich?" Leon asked, amazed.

Roselia nodded. "Yes. Alchemists who create their own potions are indeed filthy rich and can earn money just by sitting around."

Leon chuckled and nodded. "Well then, I'm going to register it."

Though he wasn't lacking in money, having a steady flow of passive income was always a good idea.

Leon wasted no time and headed straight to the Alchemist Guild to register his newly created potion. The guild was a grand building, its towering structure lined with intricate carvings of legendary alchemists and ancient symbols. As he stepped inside, the scent of herbs and potions filled the air, mixing with the faint hum of magical energy.

At the registration counter, a young woman in an alchemist's robe greeted him. "Welcome to the Alchemist Guild. How may I assist you today?"

"I'd like to register a new potion under my name," Leon said, placing a vial of the Venom Assimilation Potion on the counter.

"Now," Roland began, his tone serious, "registering a new potion under your name means you will own the formula and its rights. Anyone who wants to manufacture or sell this potion must pay you royalties. The standard rate is 10%, but for first-time creators, we offer a one-time bonus."

Leon nodded, intrigued. "And how much would that be?"

Roland smirked. "Since this is a Tier III potion, and an original one at that... 50,000 gold coins upfront, plus your standard cut of all future sales."

Roselia whistled. "That's a lot of money for just one potion."

Leon leaned back in his chair, contemplating. He wasn't lacking in funds, but securing continuous passive income was always a smart move. "Sounds good. Let's proceed with the registration."

Roland nodded and placed the Venom Assimilation Potion into the golden registration crystal. The crystal glowed, scanning the potion's properties and engraving its unique formula into the guild's records. A few moments later, golden letters materialized in the air:

[Venom Assimilation Potion – Tier III]

Creator: Leon

Ownership: Exclusive

With a final flash, the registration process was complete. Roland handed Leon an alchemy license with his name inscribed on it. "Congratulations. From this day forward, you are officially recognized as an Innovator Alchemist in the guild."

Leon accepted the license, feeling a sense of accomplishment.

"Also," Roland added with a grin, "this potion will soon hit the market. You should prepare for a lot of attention—both from buyers and other alchemists who'll want to challenge you."

"Though attention is not a bad thing, some old alchemists might target you for your legacy," Roland said.

Leon tilted his head. "What do you mean?" he asked.

Roland shrugged. "You know what I mean. No self-taught alchemist can create a potion like this—you must have a legacy," he said, giving Leon a knowing look.

Leon remained silent, neither confirming nor denying it.

Roland waved his hand dismissively. "Leaving that aside, what is your brand name and logo?"

Leon stared at him, caught off guard. "Brand name?"
