Chapter 190 Battle Arena VI

Chapter 190 Battle Arena VI

In the VIP stands, several influential figures whispered among themselves.

— "Who is this Leon?"

— "I've never heard of him. A hidden monster?"

— "Draining mana? Could he be a dark mage?"

— "No... it's more than that. He has multiple abilities... almost like..."

One of them, a masked elder from the Celestial Organization, narrowed his eyes. "That wasn't ordinary mana manipulation. That was Abyssal energy."

The mention of the Abyss sent a chill through the VIP section. If Leon had access to such forbidden power, then... he was a potential they need to recruit or eliminate him.

Backstage – Leon's Thoughts

Leon sat in his private waiting area, his expression indifferent as he reviewed the battle.

"Mana Drain is effective, but I need to refine it," he muttered. "Against a stronger opponent, they might resist before I can fully deplete them."

He closed his eyes and focused on his new Abyssal Core. A dark mist flickered around his fingers, an eerie presence leaking into the air.

His contract with the Abyssal Mana Leech King had granted him something beyond simple magic—it was a fundamental shift in how he used energy.

— Abyssal Core gave him limitless potential, but it came with risks.

— Mana Drain let him cripple enemies, but it was not instant.

— Mana Skin was a powerful defense, but it depended on his mana reserves.

He smirked. "I'll just have to push my limits further."

A knock came at the door.

"Leon, you're up again."

Second Match

Leon stepped onto the battlefield once more.

His next opponent?

Ren Arctos – Tier III Frost Guardian

Unlike Drake, Ren was composed and calm, his icy blue armor exuding absolute confidence.

"That trick you used against Drake won't work on me," Ren said coldly. "I'm leagues above him."

Leon tilted his head. "Then entertain me."

"BEGIN!"

Ren raised his hand, and instantly, the entire battlefield was engulfed in freezing mist.

"Absolute Zero Domain."

Frost crawled across the arena, sealing the ground, air, and even mana flow into a frozen state.

"He must be from some hidden powerhouse!"

Leon ignored the murmurs, his focus entirely on his next opponent. The announcer's voice boomed across the arena.

"Next match! Leon vs. Roderick of the Stormfang Clan!"

A burly man with sharp eyes and a confident smirk stepped forward. He was a well-known Tier III warrior, famous for his lightning-infused combat techniques.

"You should just forfeit now," Roderick said, cracking his knuckles. "I don't like crushing nobodies."

Leon smirked. "Then you should leave before you embarrass yourself."

Roderick's expression darkened. "Arrogant brat! I'll make you eat those words!" He surged forward, his fists crackling with lightning.

The crowd roared in excitement, expecting a fierce battle. However, what happened next stunned everyone.

Leon didn't move.

As Roderick's lightning-clad punch closed in, a black mist erupted from Leon's body. In an instant, his hand shot forward, grabbing Roderick's fist mid-strike.

A chilling sensation spread through Roderick's body. His lightning flickered and died.

"W-What is this?!" he gasped, his strength draining rapidly.

Leon's Abyssal Mana Leech ability had activated, devouring Roderick's energy. Within seconds, the proud warrior collapsed to his knees, his face pale, his body trembling.

Silence filled the arena.

Then, the announcer gulped before declaring—

"V-Victory goes to Leon!"

The audience erupted into chaos.

"What just happened?!"

"He drained Roderick in mere seconds!"

"Who the hell is this monster?!"

Leon turned away, his eyes cold and calculating.

"Let the powerful come to me," he thought. "Because soon, I will be the one standing at the top."

As Leon walked off the stage, the arena was still in an uproar. The sight of another Tier III warrior being drained dry in mere seconds sent chills down the spines of even the strongest competitors.

Back in the VIP section, several powerful figures narrowed their eyes.

"This boy... he's dangerous."

Among them, a representative from the Celestial Organization, a mysterious group that oversaw world affairs from the shadows, leaned forward.

"We need to keep an eye on him," he murmured to his assistant.

"But sir, he is just an orphan, and there is no record of any crime committed by him. Nor would we miss such a case. His ability is entirely new—never before seen in our world," said his aide as the elder nodded.

"Still, such power could be easily misused, so keep an eye on him. And since he is an orphan, try to find out about his parents. Then we will know what his ability actually is." Elder said as he looked at the follower.

The follower nodded as he said " we will work on it Sir"
